Most of the medical dictionaries only mention participant and investigator as part of blinding.
Even clinicaltrials.gov says - investigator and participants.

Only on dictionary adds 'and any other assessor of the results' to the definition.

CTIX is not the investigator but funder and the hospital who is administering the drug is investigator/researcher

Not sure if this explanation is valid as I do not have clinical study background.
