Free or Fee... I do have to say as far as a consumer I would want it Free but would not want to be buried in a array of ads. As a company, it's a great plan to capture mass public interest and cities wins. If I understand it correctly MetroFi offers 2 plans, one free ad based and one premium paid non ad for the SAME DOWN LOAD SPEED, which as a MOBL investor worries me. Very interesting model, when u consider 10,000 customers already signed up with them. It is a quick way to build a customer base and we all know once those customers get tired of all those ads they will request the $Fee Plan$. It gives MetroFi a customer base the big plays will pay $$$ for in a buyout.
Jay and Jerry have to come up with a major plan combat this model or the future dim. Our model is sure footed but slow to build the customer base. Yeah double digit paid usage each month which should be around 900 people now. Not fast enough Jay! Hope you will give FREE inside hookup rather than charging, you have to make it attractive. Example, I signed up with Verizon Cell phone, 2 year contract in which they gave me a phone retailed at $200 for free. Unless some big news comes soon, i'm getting cold feet
