on the commodities point...we know that a major contributing factor to the energy price drop is the glut, due in great part to efficiencies, open spigot in nations that used to show restraint and of course fracking. I wonder if any similar perfect storms are occurring in copper and such ... or is it indeed mainly due to slowing demand. Shouldn't be hard to research....
Heck auto production is rolling at a heckuva pace ... it's not like there is rampant contraction out there.
like you say, there are many moving parts. Anyone's guess whether it blows up in the next few months are or we are just in a long awaited , healthy correction.
One of the tells I like to watch is how stocks are reacting to earnings. And lately, the market has not been very forgiving.
