Some horned rimmed glass persons picked this up looking for insider trading. It could have bothered some fund managers. I think licensees suing the company seeking refunds because of FRAND and antitrust violations has had a negative result on the price. Some day Merritt and Shay will understand FRAND and MFL clauses. Hopefully before 4 and 5g. The reason for the standards is to allow any company to manufacture the compliant hardware necessary to operate the wireless system on a worldwide basis. If you are fortunate enough to have your invention adopted in the standards, you should take care to license all comers on an even playing field. The F stands for fair. The R stands for reasonable. Any manufacturer paying a higher rate (other than uniform volume discounts and caps) is naturally going to complain if it effects margin creating an unfair advantage for its competitors. This concept is relatively easy and foreseeable for most executives. We now find ourselves as both plaintiff and defendant perpetuating the litigation game. When will it all stop? I certainly do not know. If Barclay's believes in the company, some how the share price will be above the warrant number in 2016. Here is hoping that Barclay's likes us.
