Sapphire in the latest phones would not be good news for GTAT Creditors/Shareholders IMO, it obviously was not mass produced by GTAT furnaces (2100 located at mesa, 200+ located in HK) if that were the case.

Especially Sapphire on the next apple iphone, which is MASS produced with millions sold / millions PREpurchased. Such production is already under way and if Apple is using sapphire, it was not made by GTATs furnaces that needed to have been sold to save equity.

And regardless, an operation like Apples sapphire project with GTAT that was supposed to supply sapphire to Apples 2015Q3 Products failed, and no other operation has ramped up to that magnitude (that we know of)

Further proof for that is that many Chinese firms have stated they are beginning to ramp up/invest heavily in the past few months. With that said I don't think sapphire will be on phone screens mass produced in 2015, 2016 is more likely.

If apple and GTAT continued their supply relationship, then it would be more likely that Sapphire would be on the Apple Iphone [Or apple products] for 2015Q3.

My hope is that GTAT furnaces will be part of the mass ramping up of sapphire production that will take place this year.

All these "leaks" about Sapphire on the Iphone 6s or whatever they are going to call it is strikingly familiar with last years Sapphire "leaks" HAH
