Yes, even then. It's always something. Now, they need money for the Mega Farm. Perhaps the weather was bad this year, like last year, for HU, so they don't have that extra money. Or they need more money to ramp up fertilizer. Fact is, fast growing (succesful) companies DO NOT PAY DIVIDENDS. PERIOD. They need the cash for Capex, even SIAF with all its partners.
Talk to any CFO, they will all say the same thing. Those dividends.... will come eventually.
Of course Solomon should have seen this coming, years ago.
I understand the complexity, with all the promises that were made in the past, and being Chinese and all. But it is what it is. They need to tell the growth story and quit this chatter about dividends. If they have some extra money, maybe they can do a share buyback. But the problem with that one is, once you start, you can't stop.
