1) Someone sending emails to you that clearly know about mining in the zaruma area and players but don't represent the company.

OR

2) These emails are a complete fabrication that not only yourself/FL but others on this board are involved in.

The domain owner is not necessarily who you see in the WHOIS information. ALL of the information in the WHOIS information is what the real domain owner chooses to supply for information. The real domain owner also has 100% full control over email services. These are undisputed facts. NO ONE other than the domain owner can control any services email, web. other for that domain.

Bob did let the domain expire last year. He doesn't use an email associated to the domain name so his email was not effected but the site was. Its as simple as that.
