Susie - it is just one of those things that happen in life that you clearly remember where you were when it took place.

Over history, the Yankees have had some great players and great teams and so have the Red Sox, but some how the Red Sox can not win a World Series. It is sad, because generations of kids grow up in New England rooting and cheering for a team that doesn't win the big one. They live and die as Red Sox fans, never getting to taste the absolute joy winning a World Series (from a fans perspective) can bring. For them I feel sorrow.

I think when I first moved up here I gloated a bit, now I just silently walk by my fellow co-workers (the Red sox fans) and say "hey may be next year"!
