Lango - it's just two different arguments

You are saying that there are certain features that you think Apple should include at $XXXX. I wont' disagree OR agree - Apple sets their price and features where they think is best, right or wrong. People can choose to buy or not.

All I was originally saying is that if Apple wants to charge $40 or more for a SupeDrive upgrade, then I would prefer to opt out. I gave my reasons. Apple also has the right to say they are not going to accommodate me, right or wrong.

And when my personal net of all of Apple's 'rights/wrongs' fall below the 'rights/wrongs' ratio I experienced in the Windows world, I'll jump ship. I have a feeling it is going to continue to be a bit of a love/hate relationship, but I'm still sticking with Apple for now. And what I've seen of the MacBooks has not dimmed my view of Apple - I think they look pretty good.

With a little more time we can see how they compare to the Wintel offerings, but that will always be subjective. Only the user can put a value on OSX, iSight, iLife, MagSafe, and the rest. I appreciate the shootouts that Blue does, but it is just a data point - no one can say 'this is best for me' except the user.
