WTF is it with Apple figuring it's a "good" thing to ship completely out of date technology to "cripple" machines as an incentive to sell them higher priced models? That is an ugly side of Apple, for sure.
Not even an option to upgrade.
This is not a stripped down $699 Dell model, this is an $1,100 model. At least a stripped down $699 Dell you can add a full-bore dual-layer DVD Burner for $60 add-on.
