It might hurt a little for those that do both Smith's/Kroger and Whole Foods (like I get this now at Smith's and delay my trip to Whole Foods). But Whole Foods just has that Kroger group doesn't here in Santa Fe, NM. Maybe its because of all the chef's and rich people. I'll be heading back to Texas soon. The Natural Grocers in Albuquerque was better than I expected and the Sprouts their was better than Lubbock. Strangely I can get stuff at either Whole Foods (main) Santa Fe or Wyoming St. Alb. one that the other doesn't carry. Santa Fe has a steamer to steam fresh fish that Albuquerque does not have a steamer. Santa Fe has these yellow...mushrooms that are 75/lb and never seen anywhere else... lol

Smith's is high priced in NM too (union workers) very high in Los Alamos (but their new store/market there has vast varieties of food groups but only a small selection of specialty stuff that Whole Food has more ... even United Market Street in Texas out does Smith's (Kroger items sold in Smith's). And Whole Foods still targets wine drinkers heavily. Just schmoozing...
