Surprised CTIX has corrected with all the pending catalysts this quarter. I have some $ clearing in my Roth, and will be buying today. Will probably wait a half hour to an hour this morning to see if this has another flush left in it. If it does, would not be surprised if EOD we end up green.
To me the Shelf announcement is a head scratcher. I do see the value of having it for the longer term, but wonder about the timing of this. It would have been much more logical to wait until after uplisting to announce this. What was the hurry? They have plenty left from the Aspire deal, and they could have done the shelf sometime next year. Why do this just when the Share Price was acting well? They had a window when the stock was above $3 where they could have uplisted without needing to meet the Shareholder Equity requirements.
I only can think of a few reasons why they would do the shelf now:
1) They are involved in negotiating a partnership right now, and wanted to put a little more pressure on the other party.
2) They are about to uplist, and they have an institution in the wings that wants shares.
3) They know that big news is near, and are not worried about the SP as far as qualifying for uplist.
I trust they have some logical reason for doing the shelf now.
Maybe we hear something soon, that helps explain the timing of this.
