Motorola Q approved by FCC
Posted April 22, 2006 - 11:32 PM GMT

It looks like Motorola Q finally got thumbs up from the FCC and it's ready to head to the United States. After keeping us in suspense countless times and changing the launch date on the Motorola Q promo page from Q1 2006 to April of this year and again from April 2006 to "shipping soon", maybe the company is finally ready to launch their so-called "Blackberry killer" or RAZRberry, however you want to call it.

Also, Motorola was expected to launch the Q at CTIA 2006. The stage was set for an announcement that Verizon Wireless will sell the famous Q phones, but that never happened.

The ultra thin Motorola Q was announced back in July 2005 and features a large, 2.4" color screen, voice activated dialing, a 1.3 megapixel camera with photo lighting, mp3 and video capabilities, stereo speakers web surfing capability and a QWERTY keyboard. All this on will run on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. No information on the price yet, but we should hopefully see it soon ... hopefully.
