It is absolutely mandatory that AEGY files a 10-K.

Did they file a Form 15 and terminate their SEC reporting obligations?

Not certain where you got your information but it isn't accurate.

If AEGY doesn't file a 10-K the SEC can and will revoke their ticker. I might need to contact the SEC and remind them - I will put it in my calendar.
