I just emailed Naomi and told her that I was concerned that BlackRock was taking over Banro without stating their intentions. One thing I forgot that I wish I hadn't was bringing up that the new CFO is an ex-BlackRock guy.
Are you planning on emailing or calling her?
The email was professional and walked through Tradewinds, Franklin and Van Eck selling BAA shares systematically on the open market all at tremendous loss to themselves. I explained how there appeared to be communication between the buyer and the seller because large bids (usually between 50K and 250K) were placed and were then hit in a timely manner. Those shares were not placed on the ask and then bought.
I said it seemed odd that Van Eck and GDXJ (both investor funded) would sell at a massive loss to their investors. I questioned whether they were compensated outside the market.
There was a direct question asking if Banro was being taken private. I closed by asking her to send any information she could and stated that I was sure I'm not the only concerned investor.
