The V2000z checks in at 5.38 pounds, but has a 14" widescreen. Which is a considerable step up from the 12" screen of the Averatec. We will have to up the memory. With GAs, the more factors you use, the more RAM that is requred.
The speed should be ok. It makes it as fast as her desktop at home. Which so thoroughly toasts the PIII running at 800MHz she has at school that it isn't funny.
