Do you think it might have something to do with how high tech and in particular telecom has done?
Maybe it has something to do with the global economy and the delayed, incremental rollout of 3G and the fact that QCOM was so overhyped (one of the most prominent analysts in december 99 called for it to hit $1000 a share) that it is a poster stock for investor disappointment and distrust?
If options were an overhang and it has been an ongoing issue as some here suggest, how do you explain the stock performance of IDCC vs NYSE, NASDaQ, S&P and QCOM?
I don't buy that options has anything to do with it. It is an overly simplistic analysis that attempts to explain multi factorial phenomenon using one factor only. And that factor is IMHO waaaaaaaaay overstated at least when it comes to IDCC.
