On the inversion issue, I expect to see things heat up if Walmart goes this route.

Doubt it will ever happen. Capital gains tax to Walton family would be too much. It would wait at least until this generation dies. Stepped-up tax basis at death is one of the biggest benefits in the tax code at this point. Much of "estate planning" has been converted from transfer tax avoidance to income tax avoidance with the "exemption" amount at $10.68M for couples now.
