Again, if 90% of their legal claims were baseless, most likely EDIG would not have gotten this far. Many of these companies pay their lawyers a lot of money on retainer to get rid of that type of lawsuit, EDIG has sued numerous very large companies and keeps winning, even though it may be a small amount per settlement.

I believe if 90% were baseless, they would have been shut down.

Unlike the description of a patent troll going after small underfunded companies, EDIG is suing big, overfunded companies that already spend money on reams of lawyers, these companies would shut EDIG down if they could.

In fact some of them are KNOWN for doing this - fighting even though it costs them to fight, to shut down patent trolls...remember how may Apple lawyers showed up on the clock to the EDIG hearing!!!

Too many here miss this point and then argue generalities - such as "how do you know these companies would fight"...etc...yet these same people constantly make comments about how EDIG is a patent troll - which is a generality in and of itself.

To me the TRUE test is - will EDIG use Nunchi to make small amounts of money - or will they use Nunchi and MS to close licenses.

If EDIG management leverages Nunchi and MS to benefit themselves and NOT the shareholders, then they are self-serving "Patent Trolls"

Time will tell, I don't believe we can determine that from one or even two lawsuits related to Nunchi or MS, but a pattern if we see it in the future.

Look at it this way - the Flash patents are almost expired, what choice does EDIG have but to take some money and run? Nunchi and MS have a long life span...

If they use their newer technology to make themselves a salary, then the only hope for shareholders is some kind of a buyout.

IMO of course, I could be wrong...
