Manu had 40 million of the 90 million he needed for the first phase but didn't want to build until the whole 90 million secured.

I assume the 40M Manu was talking about, is the MOU with Prime Focus. That 40M was for specialized equipment and labor that Prime Focus would supply. He still needed the 50M for the actual building of the 1st studio (for Shore/Atlas Titan). That 50M estimate is probably going to be lower now, since they are taking away some of the fluff.

I've been wondering where we will stand on the 40M MOU, now that Manu is gone. I don't think that agreement had been finalized yet. I'm guessing the finalization wasn't going to happen, until financing was obtained to actually build the 1st studio. But, if Manu got that MOU because of the India connections, they might not be too happy right now either. I'm praying, that's not the case. That's just one of the reasons, I wish they could reconcile their differences with Manu and he could stay on in a different capacity. The deal with Prime is why I invested here in the first place. Their work is very respected in the movie industry, especially given their outstanding work on "Gravity", "Maleficent", etc. Having them on location at the studio, would be a huge draw for the bigger producers/directors to come rent/use the facility to make their movies. That why I think Manu's in-sourcing work flow vision was so great. An on location team to do every step of the production process (filming, visual effects, etc).

Like your friend, I don't think Koppleman will stay in this role for the long run either. I said the other night, I look at both Koppleman and Jake as temporary in these roles. I think Koppleman will get the ball rolling and then try to find a strong partner in the industry. If that were to happen, they would probably take over the management of the company. Hopefully, he can find an experienced partner with money! HA! He could then go back to being a director on the board.

These are all just my personal thoughts.. I could be flat wrong on my thinking! I'm excited though.. Koppleman is the man to get this ball rolling in the right direction! He has a lot of connections and his name can open many doors.
