I only invested a small amount in the beginning and didn't load up until I met with Manu face to face. Jake was smooth. I really liked Koppelman and Paterson on the board. It's about connections. People I know working with the team on their productions thought Manu and others actually knew their shit and could make movies. I didn't invest for the first few years but once they added K and P to team, Medient was headed in right direction. Effingham leaders hadn't changed their mind about funding the project either (and still are fully committed to the build out). Manu had 40 million of the 90 million he needed for the first phase but didn't want to build until the whole 90 million secured. Stock sinking is what killed that part, but if the 40 million still available Koppelman can build a leaner studio starting next week.
