I really like my new MacBook Pro Retina machine. I loaded it with the fastest core i7 processor (2.8 GHz), maxed out the RAM at 16 GB, and 512 GB solid state Flash drive.
It is really fast and the Apple build is rock solid (but expensive compared to WinTel machines). I think it's worth it.
OS X took a bit of getting used to after 29 years of using Windows but after a couple of days, it seems very intuitive. I tried to use Windows 8 for several months and never really got comfortable with it.
As for Windows on the Mac: Apple does not offer Windows preloaded as a secondary OS to OS X. But I do know it is possible to load Windows on a Mac as secondary. But I'm still a neophyte on the MacBook. I'm sure someone who knows what they are doing could instruct you how fairly easily. I just know it can be done.
