Nothing's changed for me. I'm very positive on gtat and it's sapphire business. I'm also confident it's other segments will gain big traction in mid to late 2014. What is so positive is gtat reiterated it's 2014 guidance. No changes. That's very positive to me. They made like 23 million revenue in Q1 but still guiding to $600-$800 million for the year! That's like about half a year left to get $say 700 million in revenue! Now that's growth, going from 20 to 700 million in a few months....now how is this going to happen. Well, gtat guidance is unchanged so they know how. Unless a lot of solar comes through quicker than I thinking then it must be from sapphire sales. So if they are stating that guidance two Q's in a roll now or more , and dropped a lot of what they were doing before Apple just to get Apple and this deal, then they must be confident in their projections or stupid. I hope they are not stupid. If gtat is not stupid, and I accept that premise; then clearly big $$$ is coming via Apple deal and sapphire sales in 2014. If gtat did turn out to be stupid and Apple didn't buy it's sapphire after doing this to them, then I think it will take a Quarter or two for gtat to get back into it's prior business full scale again, but once back into it gtat is still a $12 stock even without Apple imo. Maybe then they would get a deal with another smart phone maker for sapphire...all hypothetical, imo Apple deal is for real and that Apple will buy a lot of sapphire material from gtat in 2014. What they use it for is up to Apple. A iphone, ipad who knows...iwatch....iearphones .... main bottomline is they are buying sapphire from gtat. If Apple fails a sapphire screen or some large scale use of sapphire then I believe Apple will damage it's own reputation and product future as well as send gtat looking for another partner. I don't think Apple will do such a thing. I know they spent $500 million to gtat to build out the facility at Mesa, that's a good sign they are serious. Along with their related patents. Apple will likely buy a bunch of sapphire just to keep gtat on target whether they use it or not. They have the $ and they will keep the technology and sapphire away from the competitors....for now and maybe when more lamination technology is finalized Apple will use thin sapphire sheet laminated on a gorilla glass. That way we get scratch proof and smudge proof surface with all around solid screen. Also all are happy. Who knows what will happen. A lot of possible outcomes, they all do however have potential to success. All roads can still lead to success for gtat. Hoping the road is Apple.
