The patients who will die because of the delay in getting all the trials going for the myriad of indications which Ariad can no longer fund are the real losers here if a buyout doesn't occur. One would think that if Berger is the great compassionate M.D. he likes to believe he is, that he would actively seek a company for the buyout which would satisfy everyone except a minority of investors and Berger himself.
