jist: re-read DNDODD's post again.

I feel pretty confident Interdigital has been in license discussions with Microsoft for some time.

the first 2 words in his comment 'I feel' says it all -- namely, it is ONLY HIS OPINION and not factual.

Merrit's comments and responses are worded in such a manner that five readers can come up with 5 different conclusions, all different.

I don't believe Merritt has ever point blank stated specifically which companies they are in license discussions with. Rather, a general statement like 'we are in discussions with various . . . (etc). companies is the most he will ever say.

He had never stated whether MOTOROLA was in discussions with IDC; likewse Ericsson, and I am sure many others.

Heck, there were times where if IDCC signed a 'token (under 10%) license', it was not mentioned until or unless IDCC needed to report good news. Some of the older members of this board may still remember this.
