i used to think of you as a part of the optimism blob. but i confess i have found your posts pretty sensible for some time.

i am not sure why you think this. no one is making a claim on genius here. indeed, it's kinda the opposite. the theory is philosophical humility in the face of manifest uncertainty. (that isn't the same thing as intra-group humility and we all have our own ideas of what other people are about).

wave's future is uncertain and it is okay to admit it and discuss what that means.
