If, as you said, there is a mechanism in place for a complaint concerning a deletion, then this is not the proper forum for those complaints. Posts that do not belong in a forum should be deleted. Period.
If there is not a mechasim in place then my original suggestion stands. Such discussions should be kept private to protect both sides of such an argument. One side will lose such an argument. If the argument is held forth in public there is the potential for embarrassement. For both sides. Keeping it private will allow both participants to be able to maintain thier diginty in the public forum. It is more about keeping posters involved than running them off. you Still need opposing views to discuss. If everyone agrees on everything, why talk about it at all. If a CoB is truly out of line I am certain that Bob has both the intellectual capacity and the technical capabilty to discern the appropriate solution and execucte it.
