123414 ok...i get it. you don't really want to engage my questions. but recognize that as things stand and until new results reasonably meet current high expectations and/or 1 or better 2 potential JV partners show up (2 gives better leverage for deals), TLT just doesn't have huge bargaining leverage with funders. And at current burn rate, TLT has approx. 10 months of $$. Some, but not that much time. So...while management will likely wait 'til next 1/4's hopefully very positive news to tackle the funding question in earnest, if they are smart -- and I hope they are smarter than the last funding -- they have to be at least researching funding alternatives.
And I disagree that they are doing enough to get their story out to potential investors. At the 2 quarterly conf calls, they couldn't even get it together to take questions from shareholders. Good comm is not their strong point, IMHO. But hopefully, good science is !! If yes, the funding alternatives will likely open up quite a bit.
Digits very crossed for all concerned !!
Fwiw, no need to respond to this with more recent positive news items. Have followed very closely over the years...and have recently added to my position. There has been ton of positive developments, I grant you and that's great. But again...I hope TLT has some reasonable plan b's lined up. Just in case. Nothing can be assumed... until it proves out imo.
not sure, but i think you may be “floatinkentucky” from stockhouse board. either way, i agree with your excitement about TLT’s science. i’ve been a shareholder for many years and it all is feeling closer and closer.
that said — and i may get some boos — i have concerns re tlt’s finances. they have maybe 3m remaining but unless pps rises enough for people to exercise warrants and being in cash, tlt must already be making plans to raise needed funds to continue. longtimers know how tlt imho botched their last funding… so to me it’s a real concern. so is company’s general lack of outreach to the investing community to get their amazing story out there. generally, that doesn’t just happen by itself. if you’re up to it, pls consider contacting Kristina Hachey to let her know the story needs more telling!
like so many i dearly hope our next quarterly report brings great results and a commensurate rise in pps and warrant redemptions. expectations are high but pps in hold pattern lately. if news disappoints, stock will sell off in this lousy market. so…i’d sure like to know what TLT’s plan b is in case needed….
any thoughts?
pls feel free to post on stockhouse i am not a subscriber there
just luck that i saw that opinion piece. someone posted it on stocktwits on the LAC thread there...
fwiw, i think CYP should work out fine. a broad statement but imo, many of these Li (and other battery metal ) companies with good properties and strong managements should work out well, barring some major development of another solution. the demand will be strong and growing for decades to come...that writing seems powerfully on the wall !!
had seen this opinion piece last week...and thanks for posting. the writer makes some good points about the "bigger problems" facing the planet. the required changes in human civilization to make the planet healthy/safe/thriving are larger than most of us have even begun to talk about...but... ultimately, some form of non-fossil based electricity will/must win the day vs. fossil-based, even if ALL of human civilization must drastically reduce its footprint. At the very least, Li will be a transition resource to the "next thing" -- commercial fusion? more efficient storage methods? -- that will move human activity in that direction. development of Thacker is a step in the right direction vs continued large-scale fracking and other fossil development. all imho of course....and of course, as a shareholder of LAC, i am biased...
nowwhat2...
VERY cogent thoughts!!...thank you for the article. well laid out arguments, including the negatives, which I appreciated. i actually don't have huge doubts about eventual approval... the resource is so rich...and domestic...and vital for US electrification effort. My concerns were shorter-medium term...
In any case bought some near-money longterm calls yesterday. we'll see...
again, thanks for the input. i think we have a big winner in LAC...
is this recent down move ALL about concern over permits for thacker pass? seems to me we are way oversold given, among other things, that our Argentina project will be generating $$ relatively soon. Gangfeng , our partner down there, appears to have had a huge 50%+ upmove to new highs today !!
barring some new tech to make lithium obsolete, Li will be a key material for years to come...and a huge growth engine
so...back to the original question....something else besides thacker pass worries? what am i missing?
cogent thoughts most welcome !!
harbor, chessmaster... thanks for your replies.
still don't quite understand... but no matter...i'll let this one play out for at least a while longer
but out of curiosity... if i'm the entity actually buying this shell, just how much would i be willing to pay for it? admittedly, a clean shell is a valuable asset...perhaps a VERY valuable asset for the buyer but...with 2.3 billion (AWGI) shares out, surely not a buck a share !
or...am i missing some major info re how this all works...and what is reasonable to expect? hope so....
in any case.... nice day today
have read the "all in one" post, which i MOST appreciated. thanks to those who put that together.
still...not sure i completely grok the value proposition for current shareholders...or how to determine a reasonable upside pps target range.
i'm a longtime long here from years ago...pleasantly surprised by what has occurred with AWGI, which i had long ago given up for dead. have sold some...one of those rare "lucky" things. that said, though --and of course i'd love to be wrong -- i just don't see how CPSL gets anywhere near a dollar as some are predicting. AWGI had over 2B shares outstanding! So...
...what is a reasonable expectation? i know it's kinda the 64000 $ question. So much I just don't understand with how CPSL will ultimately be valued...but...anyone willing to briefly and cogently address the question...and the variables that will determine a price-target range..and a guesstimate re when we might see that target reached?
my thanks in advance....
hobo...thanks for the reply. at this moment, ETH coins are the winner over HIVE...and that may indeed continue. my question, though, was why this crazy disconnect of late? as a miner and hodl-er of ETH, would seem HIVE's margins are seriously increasing with little to no additional cost. as with a goldminer enjoying increasing gold prices, this should be a clear formula for increasing market cap -- and pps.
i realize most crypto miners are correcting majorly but...did HIVE get THAT far ahead of itself back at $5.50-ish USD? yes...likely. but still, ETH is up near 3x since then...and most of HIVE's mining is ETH.
so...would seem there are things I and maybe most of us don't know or understand concerning HIVE's decline...and THAT's what I'd like to understand better.
I'll try reaching out to HIVE IR or Frank H but in the meanwhile...
...anyone have cogent thoughts re this?
ETH and HIVE (seeming) disconnect
Can anyone out there give a coherent answer to why there seems to be such a disconnect between the increasing price of ETH and the continued declining price of HIVE? Some thoughtful explanations would surely be appreciated by many.
After a huge run a few months back, did Hive pps get that far ahead of itself? Is this a "normal correction"...or something else? With such seemingly bright prospects and a recent +/- 400% gain in ETH, why has there been so much recent selling of HIVE?
What am I/we missing?
Sincere thanks in advance for cogent thoughts.
-3... my thanks for the brief history. hope it's a story that will have a happy ending for all concerned....
123414 - I see where we are, as you've decribed. Just sincerely hoping TLT can hold their side of things together long enough to see the NMIBC study through to success. yes, announcements of new developments with other indications can boost pps, but i think NMIBC success will raise pps enough to make any further future fundraising needs far far easier and less dilutive, an issue that is of concern...at least to me as a long-term investor. Agree, with all that is apparently going on, it's likely a good time to be a buyer.
-3 On the subject of Dr. Sherri M, yes...without her science and the agreements TLT made with her, I don't think TLT would exist. Does anyone know how the relationship between TLT and Dr.M came about? Just seems she could have connected with a more established and successful entity. Glad she didn't, but...just curious about this. Anyone have any knowledge re this?

Tld1433 in he news…… revolutionary way of thinking when…
It comes to fighting cancer ??!!
https://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acs.chemrev.8b00211#
READ THE ABOVE LINK AND THEN TELL ME HOW CAN TLTFF BE AT .15 US$ WITH TLD1433 RIGHTS OWNERSHIP AND SO MANY SCIENTISTS THINKING IT IS A MAJOR PART OF THE CANCER SOLUTION ???
A MYSTERY... AND UNFORTUNATELY PARTLY DUE TO TLT'S INEPTITUDE WHEN IT COMES TO PROMOTING THEIR OWN STORY...
HOPEFULLY THE SCIENCE PROVES OUT FURTHER AND WINS THE DAY....IF YES, TLT CAN SUCCEED WILDLY DESPITE ITSELF....
just one opinion...
thoughts??
Because I don't know much for sure when it comes to the inner workings of TLT, I have to rely on what I see --and sense -- coming from the company. "Curing cancer" is surely a complicated goal on many levels...one that takes years. So many entities large and small have been trying for decades. I agree that the realities may be above RW's experience or skillset...we'll see.
Sorry about your friends. We all have close ones who didn't survive cancer. Not sure though that the timing of the rollout of TLT's cancer approach is entirely in their control. So many scientific milestones and administrative/financial hoops to get through. Wonder if/when they will take on one or more partners to help move things forward more rapidly. The right partner(s) would be very helpful... and would certainly help TLT's public profile too... They need all the credibility they can get at this point...!
Appreciate your posting that post from hempdoc. (i don't follow the boards as closely as you so am wondering if you know why he is blocked on sthouse ). TLT's various lines of scientific inquiry do indeed seem impressive and full of potential to make this company a huge winner.
Will some of the science succeed and make it on a commercial basis? Well, that's why we;re all here... I sure hope so and the company has come a long way, but it's not something investors have any real control over. On the other hand...
...what makes me more nervous with TLT is management's stewardship and communication skills. They seem to be trying to stretch their cash by letting most employees go while they wait for science -- hard for those employees but necessary for the company. But with so many concerned about such matters, they chose to leave share holders in the dark about that...and so much else about the company's ongoing status. I've called several times to try to get some answers, but I -- or any other sh holder -- shouldn't have to "pull teeth" like that. The company needs to be proactive and transparent with sh holders if they want to (re)build trust. Management doesn't seem to understand the importance of this kind of communication and, to me at least, always seems to be "hiding". Many have asked for regular conf. calls. So easy and cheap to do...why don't they do it already?? While still at the company, the IR staff always seemed scared to speak. Just makes me wonder what we shareholders DON"T know. I hate that feeling....and it's something the company can actually remedy to a large degree.
Won't go on about this with more examples...no real point. Just wish I had more confidence in those running the company. The science is obviously the bottom line, but there are many other things to creating and running a successful public company. I truly hope management will find it within themselves to rise those tasks...
-3 thanks for the post. honestly, i have no clarity what the story is at TLT. They continue to lay so low that aside from their pr's, there appears little "there" there, especially for small individual investors. The science is so promising, yet no one at TLT seem to have much clue how make the company more attractive to investors. i was personally so disappointed how they ran their AGM, again shutting out investors from getting real clarity about the company and its activities. no one there seems to understand how, in an environment where there are so many investment alternatives, management's behavior and communication skills -- or lack thereof -- can effect both existing and potential new investors.
just hope the science pans out. if yes, the stock will likely jump in a big way and all the above will be moot...at least for a while.
re rw: my guess is he still calls many of the shots. the province of ontario securities authorities told him last year (or the year before) he could no longer officially run or speak for the company because of misleading claims he made about TLT. i think most know about that. other than that, not sure who else would be "shutting him up". big pharma? kinda doubt it at this point. on a separate subject, many, including me, still feel the last financing was badly mishandled in a number of ways...the effects of which are still revealing themselves.
hoping FDA fast-track is approved soon...that would really help TLT in a number of ways.
gl to longstanding longs. all digits crossed...
so very sorry to hear. only good wishes and positive mojo for best of outcomes...
first...that was welcome news today!
thanks for the heads up, kahuna, re my note being posted on SH and CEO boards. never heard anything back from TLT management and sadly, don't expect to. i may call one of them in a few days, though, as even with today's nice news -- which i have to read again more carefully -- much of what i wrote still applies re comm with shareholders and the respect issue. what i read today is of course positive news and gotta be happy for that, but it still seems light, for example, in terms of the ongoing status of the other 8 of the 12 patients already treated under ph2. we all need to persist re these kinds of "selective omissions" and other matters of transparent communications. try again gene...and anyone else who feels the same. a company that communicates better only helps itself and costs no more. always so surprised how many don't seem to get this...
for today, though...won't gripe too much. happy for the good news and look forward to more, hopefully sooner than later!
thanks kahuna... but so that you know, have heard nothing back from any of the 3 senior people at tlt i sent that note to. will give it a couple more days but...i think they need to hear from a LOT more people to get their asses in gear about better communication.
there are some posters at stockhouse who sometimes visit over here. maybe one will take me up on my invitation to copy and post there. a lot more participants there. maybe if the company would hear from some of them more directly, they'd start making some changes. maybe...but maybe not. i think roger, despite stepping down as ceo, still runs the company behind the scenes...and for some reason, everyone is scared of him. just my sense...
it's such a mystery why they don't communicate better with the public. if they did, despite the screw-ups, i think we'd be trading a lot higher than .12 US and a market cap of under 30M US$. so many company's with valuations over 100M with far less going on than TLT...
FWIW... I sent the following jointly to Shawn Shirazi, Roger White and Kristina Hachey late last week. It's admittedly long, somewhat repetitive and some of the statements may not be 100% accurate or informed. I also wish, in retrospect, that I'd mentioned my ongoing excitement about the potential of TLT's technologies..and some other items. But I wrote it because the company needs to know how so many longtime shareholders are feeling. I don't post on Stockhouse, but if anyone reading this does and thinks it worthwhile, feel free to post it there...and encourage readers there to also contact the company with concerns / constructive criticism. Really hoping we can get the company off their asses re these matters...and others that shareholders have.
Hello all,
My name is ______ and I have been a shareholder since 2014. Roger, you and I have spoken on 2 or 3 occasions. Kristina, I have spoken twice with you recently and along the way, with ShuShu and Amelia, your 2 IR people. I am writing you collectively because it's important that you all understand what so many shareholders like myself have been feeling for quite a while now...and the danger the company is in as a consequence. I base this on what I have been reading on the Stockhouse (SH) and other message boards. So that you know, I am not a contributor on SH, only a reader. I do understand the limitations of such message boards and the short-term, ill-informed or ill-intentioned motives of some posters. But I assure you, there are also many who are bright, loyal, informed, well-intentioned and focused on the longer-term success of TLT. And many of those are losing patience with and confidence in the company. Since the financing and related dilution of last year -- how it was handled and communicated -- that sentiment has been accelerating, despite some encouraging news concerning TLT's actual science and progress in the interim. It comes down to a growing loss of trust between the company and its shareholders for a number of reasons, including inadequate efforts to communicate transparently and empathically with loyal shareholders who have entrusted you -- senior management -- with their hard-earned investment dollars for years now.
I will be as brief as I can and will mostly avoid speaking of the medical/scientific matters of which my knowledge is admittedly limited. My experience has largely been in communications and -- separate from the scientific disappointments/mistakes contained in the news release of 7/30/20 and the obvious covid-related difficulties -- TLT, imo, needs to show more regard and respect to its existing shareholder base and pay more attention to attracting new shareholders. Connected to this, more attention needs to be paid to letting your shareholders know the company is being actively and prudently managed. This is not only about your science, which most are generally still excited about. Few if any of the thoughts below should cost much to implement. It is mostly about adopting an attitude that your shareholders are your working partners, not a dumb, pliant and infinite source of patience and funds. Intentionally or not, that is the sense you have been messaging to many.
Some general suggestions, in no order and not a complete list:
* As the CEO, we need to hear from Shawn more. A better sense of the one(s) running the show and his sense and vision of and for the company....and his understanding of the serious concerns from the shareholder POV. I know it is sometimes difficult to find the proper, legally appropriate language, but this is sorely needed. You are a tiny startup and beyond PR's, many companies write "letters to shareholders" which connect beyond strict news items. Both past IR employees seemed extremely tight-lipped...and almost scared to talk about real concerns. Again I know it's delicate...but your shareholders need more from you. Right now, the company does not seem that it is running well...or being especially well run. Part of this is because we are simply left in the dark, having to guess about so much.
* Most shareholders aren't aware of the measures TLT has taken to save $$ during this covid shutdown. Why? Because you haven't told us!! If employees have been furloughed or reduced, as I now understand they have, shareholders need to know. Otherwise we worry that TLT is still burning through our limited capital at a full-employment rate. You guys haven't mentioned anything about overhead reductions and seem unaware that it's is a VERY sensitive subject to your shareholders, I assure you. You have a few million in the bank, but we all know how quickly that can be drawn down with all the expenses which lay ahead. Almost everyone fears another share/warrant sale and more dilution, especially with all the resentment ... and share price destruction... the last one engendered. It costs nothing to let shareholders know how you are economizing, and it lets us know you are on the ball and vigilantly watching expenses. How can you not be addressing such matters or realize that such is a vital concern to your shareholders??
* Your last PR mentioned serious oversight on TLT's part and perhaps elsewhere, but nothing about how that might be remedied or anything about whether all or some of the ph2 patients will now have to start ph2 again from scratch... or whether any TLT oversights might result in any kind of legal liability for the company. These omissions obviously are the source of very real and confidence-eroding anxiety. Probably for you too. Also, much of the PR was not written in a way that is understandable to your lay shareholders. As such, some of the more positive portions likely got short shrift and were overlooked by much of your audience.
We may not like some of the answers, but all of it is more important to shareholders than you might realize...and we need and want to better understand these developments.
* If the company admits to failures in its procedures, some of the testing protocols and/or decisions made by TLT's advisory board, what is being or will be done to insure that won't happen again? WE NEED TO HEAR THIS STUFF! If you are not ready to speak on this subject, we at least need to know that you'll be following up ASAP with shareholders re this. Again...an indication of empathy with shareholders and a sense of what's needed to rebuild confidence. People don't simply forget when you don't deal with important and germane corollary questions.
* Has there been any indication about resumption of trials in Canada or even the US? I assume not yet, but aside from a very short mention in Shawn's brief April 2020 quarterly report, your shareholders need to know -- and it needs to be said -- that TLT is pro-actively all over this issue and will keep shareholders up to date as soon as it hears anything. And btw, are there other trials still going on in Canada with other companies for other drugs? I have the sense that some other non-covid-related trials continue...am I wrong? And what is the status of the other announced Canadian test sites? Are they ready to enroll patients when restrictions are lifted? Is there also a hold on the now US FDA-approved testing? Again, clinicals from other companies appear to be continuing here in the US, even if in a reduced manner. What is going on with TLT's US clinicals plan? You never speak about any of these matters.
* Again, I know it's delicate to discuss, but we also need a better sense of what is going on with other potential indications for our PDT procedures, TLD 1433 and other proprietary compounds. Anything at all to be said, for example re the work being done at RCCC? Elsewhere? Is TLT continuing with any research activities of its own re new indications during this period of clinical shutdown? What is the status? Your site shows researchers on staff. What are they doing? No one is looking for "fluff" nor ironclad guarantees of future success, but it is natural to want to hear about aspects of the company's work that can contribute to its success and reignite some sense of excitement in TLT's amazing potential -- the reason we all originally invested and are still here. This is something the company badly needs right now.
* I recently found important items on your website that were over a year old. After mentioning them, these have since been corrected, but how did they go unattended for so long (over a year)?? Contributes to the impression that no one is quite paying attention.
* Your official PR's are still not getting through to my US brokerage (Schwab) so that it shows up on my stock watchlists as a news item. Do they get through to any US brokerages? Is your PR/news service giving you best value for your money? I have asked several times about this and still no answer one way or another following promises to "check into it". PR's showing up as news items on US brokerage newsfeeds are an important means of introducing new potential investors to TLT. (I'm assuming that they do show up on Canadian brokerage newsfeeds. Do I assume correctly?)
* Would you consider doing a general shareholder conference call before the 9/24/20 AGM? If you are truly prepped for the questions that would come your way, I think it'd be a very helpful antidote to the July 30 news release....a good "surprise" for shareholders and an opportunity to set things on a better course. This is the kind of thing that can really rebuild confidence and positivity if handled and prepped for properly...and give shareholders more reasons to remain should the markets be faced with a serious downturn.
I'll stop here for now but please do understand: many of your longtime shareholders generally feel as I do....that you need to be more attentive to and respectful of shareholder concerns...and more active in your efforts to communicate understandably and as thoroughly as possible. To actively improve how you are perceived by shareholders and the larger world. If not, you'll likely find that decreasing shareholder confidence and patience will only continue, which in turn can translate into further -- and perhaps company-threatening -- share price erosion with astonishing rapidity, especially in any big general market sell-off. Roger's continuing share purchases help some and are noticed and appreciated. I hope they pay off in a big way. But it's not enough.
Again...much of the above are not big cost issues, aside from engaging someone who can spend the time to research and write clearly and well about company activities, as well as a little time for you and your lawyer(s) to vet the results. And then an adjusted re-write. I'm sure there are many qualified free-lancers available in Toronto and I'm sure you'll agree that with over 300M TLT shares fully diluted and every .01 move in share price representing 3M dollars in market cap, that would be money well spent and a big potential ROI. Additionally, the necessary company attitude adjustments toward a more generous, inclusive and respectful view of your shareholders costs nothing at all.
Please know that in spite of any apparent criticism, my intentions are honorable and meant to be constructive. I hope they are taken in that spirit because I assure you: many, many shareholders are feeling some version of what I have written to you. We are all looking for and need more reasons to stay.
If it is of any interest, please let me know how best to follow up with you regarding any of the above. I would very much like to hear your thoughts.
With thanks for your attention, apologies for the length and surely some repetition -- and best wishes for good health and spirits and success in this very challenging time.
thanks for posting here -3. i saw this last night over on stkhouse... very encouraging to say the least.
that said, TLT's sp has languished at a very low level for a long time now. i don't know all the reasons why and yes, that could change overnight but in the meantime, the company is not doing itself any favors in getting TLT on a larger radar screen. that could be intentional, but i think part of it is doubts about management, share structure, lingering neg effects re how last year's stock sale was designed and executed (leading to continuing incentive to sell shares and buy warrants) and this refusal so far to get a strong company update out. The covid-related trial delays certainly don't help, but with so many seemingly positive developments with TLT's IP, the market's timidity re TLT feels more than a little odd and is very frustrating for many of us long-term longs.
i wrote the company an email yesterday re my concerns and about putting out as thorough a shareholder update as possible as soon as possible. We'll see if that leads to any kind of response one way or another...
-3 here's hoping 1 or more positive news releases are indeed close. good news about ph2 results would be really helpful at this point for both investors and for the company itself, to say nothing of patients who could be helped by TLT's treatment protocol(s). All could use a serious boost in energy and interest by the scientific community, the media and prospective TLT investors.
GLTY and all longs
-3 Have now read most of what's on stockhouse, including latest re new company Lumeda. Not yet clear how this might affect TLT...whether a positive or negative for them. More PDT interest is good on the surface but also means more competition. Lumeda seems like a possible new user for 1433, but questions remain about patents or new PDT companies finding workarounds or new/better PDT treatments and new indications that TLT intended to pursue. meanwhile, dwindling $$ at TLT as we await resumption of clinicals. Without news of serious progress, TLT would not do well if more capital required.
Lots of questions...and unfortunately no one at company who is willing -- or perhaps able -- to communicate re the above and other important matters with any consistency or transparency.
Realize it can't be easy for TLT and so many other small companies in analogous financial circumstances, but again, company does itself no favors with its deafening silence...
-3... that's a VERY interesting development. WOW! i saw it referred to over on stockhouse board. wish there was more about it... and that somehow the company could make some kind of comment about it. WOnder too if Roswell Park CCC will be doing more work with 1433... Wonder too if anyone there is writing about that work...
by the way...just to set record straight: i don't think tlt is "dead" by a long shot. we have really compelling technology and are well into a now FDA-sanctioned phase 2 clinical trial. so exciting, even if delayed by covid. but the company is doing a good job of giving that "dead" impression !
-3...
thanks for your recent updates. very appreciated, especially in light of the company's own seeming reluctance to communicate with their shareholders. they really do themselves a disservice in that regard. i read the stockhouse board but am not a contributor there as there are some very informed posters there as you note. another lesser informed voice is not really needed.
i have spoken with the company not long ago with mixed success. i asked them to update their "investor information" page on their site with access to current financials, which was showing "latest info" from march 2019. That was done...now showing access to 2020 financials but the march 2019 date is still showing for stock/warrant/option count. just sloppy. i also requested a shareholder update/overview, even if there was not much of import to say. i said it's important to hear from company to help shareholder confidence and for "team-building" at a time when many are nervous and/or losing patience. we'll see about that one, but today's news that agm was postponed due to covid suggests that ain't happening soon. so lame, especially in the era of zoom calls. no one is looking for "tall tales"at this point. just a sense how company is approaching the coming months...and that it is still on the job. perhaps an update on new indication(s). just a reasonable corporate "proof of life". Not so much to ask...
will contact them again before too long... for now, not holding my breath. there is a possibility, i suppose, that prelim results for first 10-ish ph2 patients might be released 90 days after last patient's treatment. i think that might be allowed, but again will believe when i see! hope it's soon... we could all use a bit of TLT confidence building.
trouble with ihub mobile app?
sorry for the OT post but...since 3 days ago my ihub mobie app won't let me access msg boards, stock info and most other functions. everything seems to work here on this site but on mobile just keep getting a continual "loading" indicator. i'm on an iphone7 using latest iOS.
have called advfn helpline, waiting for response. in the meantime:
anyone else having similar issues? thanks in advance for thoughts/advice
re TLT: a frustrating wait for results, but depending how results are planned to be reported, not a total surprise that we're in wait mode. in the meantime, would love to see the FDA inquiries resolved and publicly announced. that would give us all some renewed confidence...and pps a boost. hopefully soon.
One very important thing to remember is that ph2 trials are fundamentally different from ph1. In tlt's case one of the biggest differences is that their ph2 NMIBC trial will be a 2-dose trial vs. 1 dose for ph1b. The 2nd dose will be administered 180 days from initial dose. This means we are likely a few months from any definitive trial results. If this isn't clear, please contact IR at company for further info. My point is, though -- don't have unrealistic expectations for release of ph2b trial results !!
There are, however, several newsworthy items which will likely come before 2b trial results begin to flow, any one of which could move pps positively. These include...
- announcement(s) of new ph1 trial(s) for new indication(s) (additional cancer types)
- FDA approval of US-based test sites for ph2 NMIBC trials
- additional results from ph 1b trials (over longer time periods)
- JV or other interest from big pharma
- more Canada-based ph2 test sites
- more enrolled patients
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ADD TO THIS LIST !!
Also, if someone wants to post this or something like it on Stockhouse TLT board, please do. I often read there how disappointed some are with lack of results...or expectations that can't possibly come true for above-mentioned reasons, both of which can needlessly depress old and potential new investors. Not saying company is perfect...financings have been a joke in many respects but...so important that people be at least somewhat informed about the SCIENCE and related realities.
Biobionic... agree with some of your observations but re stockhouse being "polluted with bashers and shorts", what I sense more is a concern that the company has mishandled this funding, perhaps for the benefit of insiders...that many common shareholders were "set up"...and that the funding was done at unnecessarily low prices.
Not sure what the real facts are here, but company has a pattern of doing this. This is the 3rd funding I have been through. Perhaps I am an idiot, but the science does seem compelling. Honestly, however, I have some real trust issues with management, who, as before, remain silent about choices made regarding how this funding was put together.
Close of finance is good news. Hopefully we can now move forward and hopefully the science will deliver. A lot of hoping... not my fave investing strategy, but there it is.
bladderless, thankyou for your perspective. easy to forget that aside from being a stock of medical interest and financial potential, at least equally important are the patients like you (in earlier days) who will benefit greatly if TLT NMIBC treatment is a success.
Even if too late for TLT's treatment, I hope you are doing well..and that your prognostications for TLT come true.
my thanks again.
ps: by the way, it seems that stockhouse.com has a far more active TLT msg board. I haven't sighed up there, but if you have or know someone who can post there, your post would find a wider audience, I think.
I definitely see your side of the story. Unfortunately, I think there is something to my side as well… Although your side wins out because I am still long after these many years and add it to my position on Thursday. Just don’t like the crooked part…
what about my other question… Do you have any sense that TLT approach to NIMBC could become the standard of care with further proof of efficacy? my thanks for your thoughts On that subject.
1234... do you know whether, if proven as or more effective than BCG, there is a chance Therealase's treatment could become the new "standard of care" for NMIBC? That would really be something...
Have you seen this discussed by the company? Do you have any thoughts in this regard?
Re pps, we were SO oversold at .19-.20 USD, the bounce was expected, as you suggested. I bit the bullet and bought a few more shares. Will be curious when/if the big rebound comes. I'm expecting it will...and I think many unscrupulous insiders will profit bigtime as a result.
I think this financing was rigged from the get-go as you know...but onward.
1234,
again my thanks for your thorough reply and past pertinent pr inclusions. you retain company news far better than I.
generally i too largely gage company progress in terms of milestones completed. but as mentioned earlier, TLT has a history of less than ideal financial consequences --an understatement -- when it comes to their raising additional financing. Great news around $$ raises has been met with large sell-offs on at least 3 occasions since i have been investing in TLT. this suggests a number of possibilities re management-related issues (vs. medical ones): poorly designed offerings, bad/self-interested banking partners, poor company communications with shareholders, to name only a few.
In this current case, it is very hard to see how an offering to raise the relatively small minimum sum of 7.5M (CDN, I believe) could result in units (stock + 5-YEAR WARRANTS) priced as low as they were...roughly 50% lower than recent prices and highly dilutive. Why was that deemed necessary? And who benefitted? I don't pretend to know, but many longstanding shareholders are asking the same questions.
My point -- and I know I'm repeating myself -- is that this offering doesn't feel like it was done "above board"...and the company has done absolutely nothing to explain itself in this regard -- something which, imho, they should remedy ASAP! Company management, bankers and large insiders just do not feel wholly trustworthy again imo -- and this all begs the question of what else they perhaps shouldn't be trusted about.
I'll stop here...in the end my rant serves not much purpose...and I thank you for reading. Buy, hold or sell are still the primary actions available to most of us. For the moment I am holding and hoping the company will succeed in its aspirations.,,for the benefit of shareholders and -- equally important-- those whose lives can be improved by TLT's technologies.
certainly appreciate your enthusiasm, which seems very genuine.
re thescience...is your enthusiasm based on any personal expertise you have vs. what the company pr's say? please take no offense at the question, but just curious. i have some experience being misled by company pr's! (not specifically speaking of TLT).
also could you elaborate just a bit re "FDA submission just around the corner"? Are you saying they are about to submit for FDA approval of NMIBC ph2 clinical in US? Don't they 1st have to find sites, etc, etc. Maybe better question is what you mean by "around the corner"?!
Agree that much potential good news to come, but company needs to do a better job such that good news actually translates into rising pps. That's a longer discussion but objectively, our past history has not been great in that regard...
1234, I know the news has been positive...but how this offering and the accompanying pps fall have happened just doesn't seem as simple as you describe -- at least to me.
will it make any difference in the end? as long as company is ultimately successful likely not, except for certain individuals who sold dear and bought back a lot more shares on the cheap.
but something just doesn't feel right about how all this came down. i haven't sold and am looking to buy more...but just observing for right now as we close -- again -- at the LOD on large volume. Man...
123414, my thanks for your responses. I am inclined to mostly agree with you re "bargain". greed when all are fearful goes the w.buffet saw.
not quite at your "solid as a mofo" level re the science --sample still too small for me -- though it seems extremely promising and not currently the main source of my concern, despite how long it takes to find eligible subjects for our NMIBC studies.
that "honor" goes to management, the banking arrangements they have made --- and how this latest offering has been managed. just hard to have imagined with so much good news (the release of which recently has been so oddly managed) that we are 60%-ish off our 52-week highs...and still not stabilized! wtf happened? and in whose book is it ok to shaft so many loyal shareholders??
my guess is TLT's bankers somehow put TLT into a corner...one that was a possible outcome when TLT originally signed with them...and that certain TLT insiders/friends also took advantage of the situation to sell high, knowing what was coming with this offering. don't know for sure, of course, but that's what my gut says...and it creates some real mistrust of management. never a good feeling...
yeah...more complicated concerns than you. don't say they're right or even worth anything in the longer term. there's always something...even with much larger companies than TLT. Would be the decent thing for management to write a letter of explanation to shareholders to help re-establish trust, but not holding my breath.
will watch developments closely... and hope to find enough reasons to be a buyer before too long...
Does anyone here have any strong sense of why our pps has tanked so badly, even with so much recent good news? Did TLT screw up the offering/timing/pricing/terms? If yes, was it "stupidity"/naivte re how markets function? By design in order for management/insiders/friends to get many more shares at cheap prices?
Or..was it more a case of our investment bankers (Maxim, others) imposing their terms on TLT...and TLT being "forced into a corner"? If yes, to what end exactly? Did TLT sign some "deal with the devil"?
Or is it a combo of the above, with "certain shareholders" selling stock at higher prices knowing that new offering in Canada and PP in US would allow them to buy back at substantially lower prices?
Seems to me that in 1 way or another, there has been some kind of devious design / manipulation with TLT of late. Note sure where the blame lies -- stockhouse board is full of dialog re this, but hard to boil down into clear picture.
SAd situation, as is so often the case, for many investors here. Still a believer in the basic science, but even with so much recent good news on that score, it's clearly other things governing pps ...at least right now.
Thoughts ??
ok...thanks...
digits crossed that enrollment/treatment can begin soon and with sufficient number of participants.
have now seen video and dr jewitt mentioned 1st possible patient id'd and a candidate for enrollment, though company hasn't announced anything since that video was shot...
i think candidates must be difficult to find, though i don't know all the reasons. 1 is likely that BCG actually works for many, leaving a reduced pool for alternatives like tlt's...
btw...nice that pps has recovered some from new financing announcement. today's pr/video helped greatly i think... no one likes to see their company being further diluted but $$ is obviously necessary to further progress and relatively small size of offering will be tiny if/when TLT reaches commercialization with NMBC and perhaps 1 or more of the other cancers mentioned as TLT targets...
i think they're working hard to get the trial going, though still some regulatory hurdles. feels like that isn't a real problem but that said, i do worry about something else: finding (enough) patients who qualify for the study. this was a real issue i believe with ph 1b. with a wider net, hopefully not the case now... but until that is proven, it's a concern, at least for me.
re the video, i can't seem to get it load and play. will try a different computer...
123414... don't think any patients yet treated under ph2. i believe "will continue to be treated" leaves out "when we begin treating". maybe worth a call to amelia tudo, the IR person to confirm.
i've mentioned to her that some of the pr's are so confusingly worded that it's hard to tell sometimes what is being said, imho. think that might be the case here, though i hope not
likely reason for todays drop, announced yesterday after market close...

i guess tlt coordinated this with positive pr's of past few days...no fun, but just part of investing in developing situations like TLT. good news is that company seems relatively prudent financially (any further thoughts on that welcome) and fundamental story remains on track. as long as that holds true, i believe TLT will win the day as the story unfolds further...
