take your profits. you need them. ;O) eom nice buy btw.
Just ask everyone how they are doing on these calls. Get a little feedback.
Just a show of hands, how have these penny plays worked out for everyone? Just saying, if your new and played these last few penny stocks your probably in the hole. Don't play these unless you know what you are doing and why the call is being made.
What's the point of selling at this price? FRGY has, what, 463 dollars in cash on the books eoq, so things are looking up.
yep, screwed on a penny stock. Who would've thunk it?
no kidding. eom
yep, dead money right now. FRGY eom
OT: I mean really OT:
What ever you do, don't go to this site.
http://www.wingmusic.co.nz/listen.html
And once you don't get there really don't listen to the samples of Beatles Classics.
And after you haven't listened to those, Really, REALLY, don't listen to the AC/DC Samples featuring "Back in Black"
I mean it. Really don't do this. Really.
That is all.
FRGY someone want to paint .012? make my account look pretty
Anyone ready for FRGY to run? eom
OT: couldn't grab any short. :(
ot: man I wish. eom
well thanks for that! my L2's aren't working dern it.
FRGY is that you @ .012? eom
I like this part:
"Look for 52wk high/low stocks and volume gainers etc.
There are many different choice Technical Indicators to choose from, DAILY."
It's true. Stick to the ones between 1.00 and 10.00 and you will do fine, if you learn the basic ropes of T/A and F/A.
And don't ever buy penny stock if you are a newcomer.
Nice post. But I would add that level 2's probably don't help that much with the penny stocks, at least not with the amount of shares each MM has to trade. It seems mostly unregulated and they know it. They play games and lie on L2's. It will show you who's up to bat, but we are all like a blind pitcher facing 1st base when they are at the plate.
Seriously, if you are new, Stay Away from pennies! Learn about MM's and reporting companies and what they report from the big boards. After a couple of years, if you want to venture into the sharks den, you'll at least be a little better equipped.
"Most importantly trust no one, but yourself when trading penny stocks especially."
Probably good advice in every situation. Don't trade until you trust yourself. Set limits. Set stops. Set your buy price. Set your sell price. Don't trade until your willing to take a loss(set your stop losses tight 3% or so) or more importantly take a gain, even if it looks like it is going up more sell enough to take some profits or even all of it if you like the amount of profit it has put in your account. Always take profits.
lol eom
I really appreciate your posting about it when you did. It helped me keep a perspective on it.
I'm going to stick with never. Especially for a new investor. They will be slaughtered. Always. It's like taking an accordion hunting. It may be fun, but you won't get many deer. The new investor doesn't know enough to get out of the way of trouble stocks and trouble indicators. They won't be able to tell the difference. I say learn charts, DD, Fundamental analysis and stick with safe Big Board stocks for a couple of years, until they get their sea legs.
You on the other hand are an extremely talented and experienced trader who knows the ins and outs of the vicious pump and dumps, and other mind games that are played to steal your money. You also have a bigger safety net in terms of bank roll and connections. As well as you have done here on pennies, mainly because of experience, others here have been burned badly on the same stocks. I'm one of them. Ask around you'll find more with the same experience as mine. It's not a knock, just the difference between experienced and inexperienced traders. Always do your own dd. Do not take the waiters word that he has a good stock tip.
A newcomer should always stay away from pennies. It's hard enough to make money in the market when your new or experienced, let alone try to make money in a mostly scam game of nonreporting, unverifiable, unlegislated area of penny stocks. OTCBB stocks are a little better because of reporting requirements, but from my experience they are largely held unaccountable as well.
I'm hoping that newcomers can learn how to trade without the horrible experience of a .01 cent move wiping out 90% of their initial investment. There are much safer plays to cut your teeth on. And at the end of the day, a lot of the less riskier but lower priced big board stuff will still be worth something and you most likely wont lose 90% of your money in one toc of the ticker. There is also a much better chance of the stock your in still having value. If a penny stock drops, most times it is dead money. Call for your certificates from your broker and paper your wall, because that is all the penny stock will be good for.
Nope not the same... Big Boards are real companies. 99.8% of all Pennies are POS frauds trying to bilk the unaware out of their money. Never believe anything you hear about a penny stock. Never. It is all meant to disgorge you of your money. Have you heard of P&D scams? Pump and Dumps. A group of people will buy a bunch of stock at a low price, come to message boards or send out PR's with claims of outstanding profits to be made, deals in the works, the Short squeeze on, its all just around the corner, in order to create a run up in the PPS of a stock. They'll point to fundamentals, or charts, or the integrity of the company's owners and say anything to get people to buy the stock. When the stock is on the way up, the original group of people or person will be selling the holdings while continuing to tout the outstanding quality of the stock, basically in an effort to steal your money, leaving you holding the bag when it turns out that the company doesn't have anything of value to offer. The stock will retreat to former levels and you have a worthless piece of paper to call your own. It is insidious, but people will do everything in the penny stocks to take your money. Count on it.
FRGY Happy little paint eod. :) eom
from your mouth.....eom
reverse split.
Scottrade charges extra commisions on penny trades, not that you should be buying any penny stock. In fact, stay far away from pennies and develop a trading pattern based on big board stocks between 1.00 and 10.00. a .10 cent move on 1000 shares is 100.00 bucks and more achievable on a daily basis than a fraction of a cent on a penny stock.
FRGY at least the bid/ask moved up to .0105/.012
Edit: What did they pay him a million shares for if not to pump this? that's all I'm saying. lol
What a pos. Where is the MEC pumper, Stevengas?
FRGY and there you go. 340000 dump @.01
They both suck. Etrade maybe, I like it way better than Scottrade, but well, it's Etrade. Good cust service though, everytime I call.
FRGY look at all the dumping @.011 you have to hit .01 if you want out now.
FRGY looking like a POS eom
OT: Creature Features was a midnight type movie on the local Chicago stations on the weekends. We would load up on treats like Fiddle Faddle and Pepsi and make a night of it as young teens.
Don't forget the Fiddle Faddle and Pepsi
Funny enough but in a real crash, I think I might hope to switch to loonies or euro's or pounds about 2 days before.
pretty hardcore. thanks. eom
This is quite awesome. Slow and Steady. Stay away from the home run plays. You might find one taking off that you can ride up more than 3% but keeping the focus on 3% per trade is only 200 trades from a million.
Congratulations!
not today. next 2 weeks? Stay alert! Hope I'm wrong.
FRGY well I got filled @ .012 but I don't feel good about it.
I want to agree with you, but I'm skeptical that oil will stay down, or that the credit mortgage crisis has even come close to bottom yet. I think we WILL see some more bank closures and another possible panic. The FDIC has been pretty taxed lately with Bear Stearns, INDYMAC, some smaller locals, and a small but not insignificant # of local or regionals failing could trigger it. Eeyore, Eeyore. Woe is me. Stay alert, that's all I've got to say.
