Link goes from that webpage showing a clock ticking down from 9 days to the NYSE website. What is the message?

Not to mention they keep using the term "IPO" which makes zero sense given there has already been a public offering otherwise none of us would be on this message board. As we're all aware, we are dealing with hype masters. Lutnick, Pulte, Trump and to a lesser extent Bessent. The only thing that keeps me in this is the value of the companies and the fact that government has the ability (warrants) to monetize their stake and that stake is common shares and I think its hard to do that while at the same time screwing the existing commons. Although if it can be done by anybody it would be the federal government.

Somebody please explain to me the mechanics of the "IPO" (weird term to use for a company that already has shares trading publically). The shares sold in the IPO are derived from the warrants. Who gets the capital from the shares being sold to the public? The F2's or the government? Does anybody really believe the government is going to allow the F2's to have the capital raised from selling these shares derived from warrants? Or are the shares sold in the "public offering" new shares beyond the shares the governmnent gets from the warrants.
Somebody please explain how this "public offering" is going to work.

Thank you for understanding how standard and Roth IRA's work from a tax perspective and understanding my tax strategy as some of these people don't even understand how IRA and Roth IRA's work (a bit surprising, but maybe not)

If I have 60K shares today in a standard IRA (value approx $650K) and I convert it today to Roth then $650K gets added to my 2024 earned income and I get whacked on that. But if the relist/IPO happens and stocks price goes to, say, $30, then I have $1.9M in a Roth and distributions are tax free. No income tax, no cap gains. Otherwise I'm paying income tax on distributions from the $1.9M in the standard IRA. So the calculus, assuming this goes along as planned, is pay income tax now and at a high rate (37% federal) on $X or pay income tax at a lower rate on distributions from the $3-4X over time.

I've got about 60K shares of FNMA in an IRA. Thinking of converting to a Roth before the relist/IPO announcement. Thoughts?

Sorry for your horrible loss. No parent should ever have to buy their child. And yes it is a stark reminder of what is really important in life.

Stock price will continue to leak down until real plans are announced. Trump and Pulte tweets are being ignored at this point. Trading volume is very low. Pretty much all the shares are held by those who waiting for real news and know its coming.

Why would Pulte care about small shareholders? "They" only care about two thing. Improving the housing market and monetizing F2 assets that they hold.

May I remind everyone that if the F2's were not placed in conservatorship we would not have this investment opportunity. If you held stock prior to conservatorship you have a right to complain.

Up on relatively low volume. Everybody wants in but nobody selling. Cat's out of the bag on this one.

The price will settle in until the next big invester or group of investers come to the conclusion that they need to own this stock and the writing is on the wall. For most existing shareholders we already know and aren't selling any time soon. For these reason the stock price will continue up. And when the admin starts to announce actual plans, watch out.

Somebody has to buy the stock derived from the warrants at a price that they believe is a good investment relative to what existing shares trade at. In other words, any actions that the government can take to drive up the price of commons results in the new commons being worth more.

Much less of a gamble now than it was 15 years ago and that is why the price is $11. And it's all based on what the adminstration has been saying about what they want to do (these are not "rumors"). It's only $11 because actions have not been taken. When actions get announced.....

Yes, the government makes their own rules but unless you bought the stock prior to the conservatorship you have nothing to complain about. The conservatorship created this tremendous investment opportunity that the rest of us have. But the risk is that you're dealing with the government who is going to self deal. Trump, Bessent, et al don't care about shareholder rights they only care about improving the government's position. In this case, bringing as much money as possible into the treasury. The good news for shareholders is that the path they appear to be taking requires maximizing PPS.
