Kopin's eyewear is not direct-retinal. Don't know ZUZI.
Microvision first touted the DR tech more than a decade ago, but it was sidelined for the projection application. Their patents are very strong in this area. Indeed, the MVIS patent portfolio is their greatest asset.
Where is my direct retinal display?
This projection stuff is but a taste of Microvision's promise and potential. I want the high-res, binocular see-through eyewear we've been anticipating for a decade.
Yeah. I'm in...got a stack of August $2 calls that are finally in the money. Loading November $3 calls on the downside of the roller coaster ride.
The Fool's hyped stock is NVIDIA (NVDA) according to StockGumshoe.
You're supposed to load when the price is down, ol' chum, not when it's running. The tantalizingly almost significant announcement yesterday ran the price up so the toxic financiers could get their shorts in place.
MVIS will have its day...but this ain't it.
Ya gotta be quick!
Huh? Can't figure that one, Suds. Lawn furniture?
What will come first? Green lasers in abundance or WWIII? Timing is everything.
Pumpernickel?
Nope.
I was 'short' (via options) a number of precious metal plays until earlier this week. Missed the MVIS spike up but no matter.
Volatility is the name of the game these daze and ya gotta be quick.
Nice subtle pump, MT.
Of course WOWee is old news from CES and they still need green lasers before there is any quantity moving into the market.
http://hothardware.com/News/WOWee-One-And-MicroVision-Bring-Major-Sound--Vision-Improvements-To-Mobile/
As for the timetable for Pioneer and (hopefully) Apple...
All in DUE time. LOL!
Do you really think that 'traders' who are savvy enough to be shorting are so stupid that they see a tenbanger on a chart and short the stock without checking it out? Furthermore, there was a restriction on short-selling MVIS for two days following the R/S.
Lather, rinse, repeat. Got green lasers yet?
Until the greenies are shipping in quantity to Microvision, there is no path to funding other than the toxic finance.
If it wasn't for the green lasers, Microvision would have already fulfilled its promise and many of us on this roller coaster would already have been enriched. Instead, time and toxic finance has taken its toll.
These daze, ya gotta be quick.
Accusations? I wrote that I was amused by the cheerleading here and I do indeed find it quite funny, reminiscent of the old-style pumpadump boards from more than a decade ago.
I'm waiting for someone to call me a 'basher' so I can have a really good laugh.
Nice move at the close today. Remember that there are sellers for every buyer and the sellers are smiling.
MVIS typically tracks the larger market so enjoy the euphoria that the phony jobs numbers have created while it lasts. When the missiles start flying in the Mideast, it will all be over here for a while.
One can always make money. There are two sides to every trade.
Lately, I'm an options player and MVIS is out of the game. Mostly I'm 'playing' precious metals/oil and putting profits into bullion, food and ammunition.
If you look at my history here, you'll see how long I've followed Microvision. I even have a killer app in the works for their eyeware when they bring it to market (someday).
I don't make anticipatory 'bets' anymore, but rather just buy weakness and sell strength.
Your mileage may vary. Good luck.
I'm just amused at all the cheerleading here. Reminds me of the good old daze in the late 90's.
Any stock can be manipulated...and any chart can be 'painted'. It's all about volume. What is most amusing is how you chart guys don't seem to be very good at intraday timing--cheering on more buying as the price has obviously peaked and the volume disappears.
Now I understand if you don't have the juice to daytrade, but anyone in on Thursday should have been selling for fat profit on Friday's spike and reloaded EOD.
I have traded MVIS for many years, but not lately. Maybe after it splits and when the green lasers are shipping in quantity. The potential here is incredible but the timing is bad.
Good luck.
ROTFL!! Keep pumpin'. Maybe there are greater fools yet.
Pumped...dumped...done.
Reverse split looming. Throw away your chart.

More toxic finance? Fugetaboutit!
**YAWN**
Based on the late trading Friday and premarket today, it's safe to say that the 'market' anticipates good news.
Remember to take profits. Ya gotta be quick!
The market is not neurotic at all. What happened earlier today was a major dumping of shares in a brief timeframe:
01/19/11 10:38:43 2.24 2.24 2.25 10500
01/19/11 10:40:13 2.20 2.20 2.21 36300
01/19/11 10:42:13 2.20 2.20 2.21 22000
01/19/11 10:42:44 2.20 2.20 2.21 11200
01/19/11 10:43:14 2.10 2.10 2.11 106300
Above are trades over 5k shares that occured in a five minute period to drop the bid substantially.
This kind of crap is symptomatic of the toxic finance that Microvision has orchestrated. Until the company has enough cashflow to eliminate the vultures, there will not be a sustained move up.
'Tis the season. An announcement about a major deal would be nice timing. I'm reloaded and still buying.
Also loading/trading gold, silver, uranium, oil, and natural gas ETFs and juniors.
Yep. One of a number of 'news about the news' stories. When the price spiked, it triggered a number of additional 'news about the price spike' stories and the tickerspam fed the spike until investors with brains realized that it was much ado about nothing and reality quickly set in. Microvision clearly doesn't know how to take advantage of such events...or doesn't really care about the share price (they should of course because there is toxic financing in place).
Indeed, Microvision is amazingly inept in the PR department. Consider their last release was on a day when the US markets were closed. Yesterday would have been a perfect opportunity to follow up with a story about the new picoprojector that would have piggybacked on the rumour to give it broader than usual distribution. Alas. They're clueless in this regard.
Just mention Apple and Microvision in the same paragraph and watch the price spike.
Brian White of Ticonderoga Securities did that in a report on AAPL this morning; Forbes picked it up and it went a bit viral.
Gotta love it.
Searching for some 'good' MVIS news, I found this in the most recent 10Q:
On October 29, 2010, we entered into an agreement to purchase a patent portfolio containing 195 patents and patents pending from Motorola, Inc. to complement our current portfolio of pico projection and display patents. Under terms of the agreement we issued approximately 830,000 shares of Microvision common stock and are obligated to make cash payments of $220,000 in June 2011 and $330,000 in June 2012.
Price down on disappointing timeframe. Maybe some excitement by CES.
Based upon recent price action, I'd guess that expectations are low. I fear that Microvision is going to be trying to sell an exciting but expensive bit of gear just as the dollar collapses and the economy goes completely into the tank. Terrible timing.
As I wrote earlier...smells like toxic finance. You can see the 6,277,275 shares being distributed in the volume as the stock has declined recently. Unfortunately, this is only the first tranche of the financing.
I bought a nice fresh steaming pile of shares myself and it will be valuable once it composts. )
Of course not. That would be illegal.
A big hello to all my old chums here. Got gold?
Where did everybody go?
The action here is so intensely obvious--a relentless slide since the company announced its toxic financing; excepting a little pop on a tantalizingly almost credible rumour. The only way to win is to accumulate the amazingly cheap shares, selling on the small rises and buying on the downside. I've added about 5k shares in the last few weeks, and they can run it whenever they please. )
That said, the whole phony marketplace is going in the tank soon so Microvision and its money guys had better get their act together fast.
If you're still in the market (only the brave or foolish), do protect yourself with some SDS, HSD and some nice puts on SPY.
Of course, if you're like me, you've been ringin' the cash register on the precious metals; accumulating long positions on junior gold, silver, natural gas, grains and uranium stocks; and of course hoarding as much physical gold, silver, food and ammunition as you can afford.
Gotta love the translation, Suds.
"officers from the AMF and Revenue Quebec surrendered at 1212 Redpath Crescent, Montreal"
Cortellazzi & Ollu are as usual a step ahead of the authorities. If only the SEC etc. had listened to the 'bashers' years ago. LOL!
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
MVIS gave us a little peek at what will happen with a good announcement when a rumoured deal with Apple pushed the price last week. When the real news hits, it's gonna move further and faster.
Major dumpage, of course.
Price so far, rather than significant volume, but as they say--the night is young.
Pity that MVIS is trying to bring out an exciting product in the midst of a fundamental economic collapse of its primary marketplace in the USA.
I told ya'll about buying wheat, didn't I? LOL! Time for natural gas to do the same thing. YHIHF!
