I would agree with your assessment if I believed Kim would keep the April date however I think he will be canceling or delaying again. I also don’t believe there will be any contract. How could there be when they’ve shut down prodigy and STILL haven’t proven the ability to produce in commercial quantities. Who would give kblb a contract at this point ? It’s sad really. This stock should have hit $1.00 last year but Kim keeps over promising and under delivering. Unfortunately that’s the only thing he can do consistently. Also, I don’t care how break thru the announcement is if it’s not going to make the company money this year. Need revenue. Need sales. Need it this year. It’s Do or Die time for kblb.
Wait for 6 cents , I think you’ll get it. Like clockwork , CEO Kim Thompson really stuck it to his own loyalists who thought he was giving them the “boom”. They never ever learn from their mistakes lmao.
Not everyone. I had said the webcast will likely be “re-scheduled.” Now with the shutdown, kblb should drop below a dime. Kim wasn’t near production anyway. This coronavirus is just the excuse he needed to provide himself cover for failing to produce.
Wow, I was busy yesterday and didn’t see kblb’s latest poke in shareholders’s eyes until just now. Too funny. I think the coronavirus must feel like a godsend to CEO Kim. This is just the excuse Kim needed. Let’s face it, production hadn’t re-started at prodigy anyway and now he’s got the coronavirus to help cover his excuses.
Did I previously say this stock was going to drop down to a dime? Let me revise that. KBLB is going back to 5 cents now lol. Kblb is like a car that keeps getting into a new wreck every week lmao.
Where is this “crushing boom” I was told I would see today from kblb? I hate to say “I told you so” but ah who am I kidding. I love to say “I told you so”. The definition of insanity is to keep believing in CEO Kim Thompson and expecting different results lol.
Kblb is going back to 10 cents between now and April.
“im beginning to think he hasn't begun producing a damn thing in Vietnam yet...and he doesn't know when he will... “
He hasn’t. He darn well would’ve have PR’d it if he had.
Ah hahaha hahaha. I told y’all. I called it. I knew it’d get re-scheduled. I actually think it’s the smart call to make. The market wasn’t going to notice this “break through” with all that’s going on globally. Better dump kblb before it dumps you in the morning lol. You’ve all just been KT’d again.
“ Regarding KBLB, I honestly see nothing”.
So true lol
Plenty of time to load up. Looks like the share price ain’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Definitely some opportunities to take advantage out there....
Regarding kblb , I think Kim should re-schedule his webcast. He couldn’t be having it at a worst time imo. This “major breakthrough” is going to fall on deaf ears with the market and the world currently on fire. I think it will go mostly unnoticed. Also, he’s got the personality of wallpaper so hopefully he lets Jon or the scientists do most of the talking or everyone’s head will be bouncing off their desks.
I have a feeling this webcast is going to be a massive let-down on a good day, let alone in the midst of a crisis. Also, Kim is just stupid enough to try to do a r/s on this news.
You could be right. It could also be they needed this extra time to set up and operate a webcast. This company is not exactly known for their technological savvy or even spelling. Every newsletter was an embarrassment of misspelled words. Wouldn’t surprise me to learn Kim still uses AOL online. “You’ve got Mail!” Kim probably thought he needed to go out and rent a production studio to do this webcast lmao.
It’s possible but I’m inclined to believe this will be strictly about some new scientific technique with a lot of Mumbo jumbo. This is not Steve Jobs. He’s not going to have a “...and one more thing ...” moment and announce any deal or sales. I’ll be surprised if we even get an update on production. Kim is the master at “keep em waiting”.
I’m just going by history and history tells us that Kim will disappoint. He’s consistent in that dept.
“ What would he possibly have to gain from this? 3 weeks of share price appreciation only to have it CRATER when he has nothing at the press conference?”
I didn’t say he doesn’t have anything significant to share. I’m sure it indeed will be a “scientific breakthrough”. Some however seem to expect this is going to the moon upon the announcement and that he’ll be announcing sales or some deal with another company. That’s what I doubt. Kim will likely just be talking about the “breakthrough”. I think there will be a lot of disappointment based on the expectations posted here.
What I am saying is other than a short term bump in share price, I don’t expect it to significantly help the share price longer term unless he’s going to give a positive update on mass production and/or sales. If this webcast is just about yet another scientific breakthrough (he’s announced several over the years ) then I’m not the only one who will be selling the news. Need sales. Need mass production. No one wants to hear about another breakthrough if it means even more delays.
I won’t be disappointment because my expectations are already low for this event. By the way, he invited press to attend the webcast. He said nothing about allowing the press or anyone to ask or submit questions. If that’s the case , then it’s another reason to believe this is a dog and pony show and remain skeptical.
I think you’re forgetting the years it was 3 cents. Anyway, who cares. Let’s say average was a dime lol. That’s still pretty pathetic for a “revolutionary break through” that’s going to “change the world”. One should rightfully have a healthy dose of skepticism with any promises from Kim at this point.
I’m glad you brought up the press conference 2010. It makes my point. Yes , it was a breakthrough. Yet here we are 10 years later still trying to mass produce it. How did the stock price perform after that breakthrough ? After an initial quick bump, it proceeded to trade around a nickel for most of that 10 years. I expect this breakthrough to be similar. Yeah yeah , it’ll be a breakthrough but it won’t equate to anything the market cares about NOW. The market only cares about one thing. Are you making money NOW from this breakthrough ? No? Will you be making a lot of money soon from this breakthrough ? No? If the answers are no , the sugar high won’t last that long. I intend to take full advantage of this breakthrough, taking my profits among the euphoric.
Yep, I can read. Have you read how many times CEO Kim has used the term “breakthrough”? Despite all the breakthroughs , it’s still a penny stock with no mass production. Breakthroughs do not equate to share price appreciation. Breakthroughs do not equate to mass production. CEO Kim is a master at the “promise of tomorrow. “ The problem with Kim is tomorrow never comes.
This also feels like a calculated distraction. Kim is saying “look over here , forget what I’m not accomplishing over there. “
“The real question is: what can we expect beyond this?
News of delivery and sales: unlikely.
Performance characteristics of new silks: perhaps.
Update on Prodigy status: really hoping for something here. Have they delivered new silk eggs to Vietnam? Re-ignited production?
Partnerships, joint ventures: not hopeful but will be very happy if so.
Good luck to all. Hope Thompson delivers a home run. Only expecting to get to first base. ”
Well said QFS. Like you , I feel there’s a low possibility we will get a production update but not likely. I think what is revealed will be an important “milestone” for the company but it sounds like many shareholders are setting themselves up for disappointment. Going by Kim’s history , he will once again be very vague and leave more questions than answers on the table.
“ Prediction..... $1.00 a share by the end ”
lmao. Ok. Since we’re just saying ludicrous stuff, I’ll say $10,000 a share by the end.
It’s up 2.4 percent right now.
Unfortunately , if the schedule is kept, it will be during the current crisis. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the share price stay flat or even go down after the announcement. No one’s going to be be paying attention or care about kblb’s little breakthrough. Not in this environment. Anything short of sales and revenue is going to be met with tepid reaction imo.
nope. Kblb finished today down 10 percent.
Great post.
Ditto. I do think it may drop to .14 to .16 so save some dry powder for that possibility.
And that’s where money is made. I don’t care about kblb long term promises. It’s volatility like this where money is made. Sheep will be sheep. I’m making wool socks and coats.
I for one am happy. In buying territory for me. I’m looking for it to drop to 14 to 16 though before I really “back the truck up”. I’ve been very lucky timing this thing. Recently sold a bunch of dime shares at 25 cents and now I get to load up again soon. Buying some at 18 though. Can’t get greedy after all ;)
I add and subtract all the time. I’ll definitely be selling the news whether the price goes up or down.
You do realize it could be scientifically “huge” but not huge in share price appreciation , right ? If what is revealed on the 19th proves to be a huge scientific breakthrough but won’t mean a thing to the bottom line in the near future , the share price might actually go down.
The coronavirus wouldn’t be a valid reason to delay the webcast. It’s a webcast after all; it can be held from anywhere. The company may use it as an excuse but that is all it will be.
“Hookers use it”
And here I thought Shenequa was keeping it real with me. Wait till I get a hold of her....
Mojo , I think this opinion piece nails the explanation :
Why is covid-19 a big deal? After all, it seems a lot like influenza — a nothingburger for some, an unpleasant experience for many, and a deadly threat to the elderly and vulnerable. We live with flu, so why are people getting their knickers twisted over this? An epidemic of Trump Derangement Syndrome, perhaps?
No. Covid-19 is different from influenza because it is new. And any new stress on the health-care infrastructure is a potential national emergency. You see, developed societies such as the United States have a certain number of doctors and nurses staffing a certain number of hospitals and clinics. These resources (whether allocated by a centralized government health service or by the wisdom of the marketplace) reflect expectations about the number and type of illnesses and injuries the society will face at any one time.
You don’t have to trust me on this. Just look around your own neighborhood. You won’t see many empty hospitals full of doctors and nurses and medical supplies, just waiting for some new virus to emerge.
Actually, should you visit a hospital or clinic at this time of year, you will likely find the staff already quite busy treating — among other maladies — influenza. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, flu season places a large burden on the U.S. health-care infrastructure: more than 10 million visits to health-care providers in an average year and hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations. Flu season is to the health-care industry what Mardi Gras is to the cheap plastic bead business.
With this in mind, imagine that you are a public health official and someone tells you there’s another flu in town. You’re maxed out treating the flu cases you already have. You will want to do everything in your power to make the outbreak as small as possible.
This unexpected strain on resources — not media hype — is what inspired China to take extraordinary measures against covid-19, even at a steep cost to the national economy. In Hubei province, the new virus swamped the existing health-care system. Tens of thousands of hospital cots have been crammed into repurposed convention centers. Entire hospitals have been built overnight. Armies of doctors and nurses have been imported to fight the disease, while movement in or out of the province has otherwise been forbidden.
The same thing is happening in Italy. “In an effort to cope” with covid-19, “Italy is graduating nurses early and calling medical workers out of retirement,” reporter Loveday Morris wrote in The Post. “Hospitals in the hardest-hit regions are delaying nonessential surgeries and scrambling to add 50 percent more intensive-care beds. ‘This is the worst scenario I’ve seen,’ said Angelo Pan, the head of the infectious-disease unit at the hospital in Cremona.” On Monday, that scenario moved the Italian government to take the astonishing step of shutting down the entire country.
Think about that for a moment. According to the World Health Organization, Italy had three confirmed covid-19 cases three weeks ago. Yes, three — as in the number of contestants on “Jeopardy!” Now the entire nation of some 60 million people is essentially quarantined, at an untold cost to the economy of a highly developed nation.
That kind of decision is not made in response to overheated media.
As Pan’s remark suggests, a disease does not have to be the worst ever seen to produce a scenario that is the worst ever seen. It only needs to pose additional burdens on health-care resources beyond the capacity of those resources. Suppose a city’s hospitals have a total of 10 ventilators and suppose seven of them are in use, keeping victims of familiar flu and pneumonia alive. The eruption of a new disease that causes a mere four people to need a ventilator poses a crisis for that city. And the crisis becomes unsustainable if similar outbreaks are happening in surrounding cities as well.
Unless Americans — young and old, healthy and vulnerable — take covid-19 very seriously, it can spread here just as it has spread in China and in Italy and elsewhere. And if the president doesn’t like today’s news, he is really going to hate those headlines. The reporters who are trying to awaken the public are — in this case — the best friends he’s got.

“ Isn’t that why we’re here? Hoping Kim finally comes through”
Yes it is. I love the game. My response was towards those who are not open to the thought that the webcast could be a bone without any meat on it. Anyone who’s followed the company long enough knows that Kim’s words always sound wonderful but rarely deliver. Heres hoping it’s not another one of
Kim’s breakthroughs that are heard about once and never result in anything.
Decent close. Someone really wanted shares there at the end.
Lol “who did their dd”. Their DD that told them there’s a webcast ? Lol. Your setting yourself up for disappointment. Truth is it could be be big but it could also be a complete bust. No one knows. Hence the big reveal”. Kim’s history though tells us Kim calls everything a game changer breakthrough and it’s usually a letdown. Hope for the best , prepare for the worst.
Kim uses the term “breakthrough” all the time and very liberally. Maybe he got a new beaker /chemistry set to play with.
Yep, I intend to sell the news. Regardless what it is.
“Scientific breakthrough” to me means something that won’t see the light of day for another 10 years.
No one knows other than they are announcing some “breakthrough”.
