According to some friends who recently repatriated back to U.S., a negative PCR test is required within 72 hours of your arrival, and this is checked when you depart. However, if a U.S. citizen enters the country at their final destination and is not transiting, then they are not being asked to present a negative PCR test. But of course, they had the test results (in English) due to the fact that they needed them to depart the country they left and the country they transited through (negative PCR within 48 hours of arrival in many European nations). The timing is tricky and you almost have to find a vendor that offers rapid results (2 hours) and have it administered the same day as the first leg of your flight, especially if you have long layovers.
If the acquiring company’s management proposes a BO price based on conservative revenue estimates and explains that NWBO is an undervalued OTC stock, the point about multiples/multipliers could be rationally set aside by the BO company’s shareholders, and a $15-$20 PPS deal could go through. I agree it’s an obstacle, but one that could easily be overcome with some honest diplomacy.
False alarm. Level-2 looks normal now.
There aren’t any Level-2 ask/bids for NWBO currently on TDAmeritrade. That’s odd as there are usually entries stacked on both sides even after-hours. Is there a trading halt due to dropping more than 5% at the close?
I subscribed to his YouTube channel and discovered a separate video dedicated to tax on SS income. Best.
I like this guy’s old school approach affirming what you stated:
Correct me if I’m wrong, but LTCG are part of AGI. So even a retiree with no wages who sells 40,000 shares at $10 per share would be “making over $400,000” and have to pay the higher LTCG rate. Thanks for the margin strategy tip. I don’t understand how that works exactly, but I’ll find out.
Drop an egg or two in and finish it off with some scallions. It’ll change your world. Enjoy!
The Chase Marriott Visa is a nice card too with no foreign transaction fees. Titanium membership, it’s my new goal, and I’ve got a plan to get there.
:) I was hoping to experience Qatar Airways’ 1st class when I retire from Saudi Aramco in six months, but we decided to go with Lufthansa due to their excellent reputation with pets in the hold during the brutal Middle Eastern summers. Hopefully, we’ll be able to kennel the pooch and enjoy the former soon enough ;)
Emirates is fine, but Qatar Airways’ business class is amazing.
I just sent ARK Invest the following message via their website: ...your analysts should seriously be considering adding Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO) to the ARKG ETF. This could be a 100-bagger in five years as their dendritic cell vaccines, DCVax-L (for operable tumors) and DCVax-Direct (for inoperable tumors) become standard of care. Their 12-year clinical trial of DCVax-L for the treatment of glioblastoma brain cancer reached data lock over five months ago, and publication of the results in a scientific journal and top line data are imminent...Who knows, maybe it’ll reach Cathie Wood herself if NWBO isn’t on her radar screen already. If all of us did the same, it probably wouldn’t go unnoticed.
lf95, your post is the crux of the matter. I also believe that the trial has met it’s primary endpoint and that patients will get access to treatment. But the timeline going forward is still up in the air, and so we wait. When I look back at where NWBO was a year ago, it eases my anxitety. They’ll get there, eventually.
...followed by DCVax-Direct's treatment of various types of inoperable tumors. Amen.
Google market maker signals. I believe this is what is being referred to.
tryn2, Long-term capital gains tax is 15% for a stock like NWBO, right?
Actually, the present perfect verb form is used to describe completed actions or actions/states to being that continue up to the present time. For example, I have had two cups of coffee this morning vs. I have enjoyed coffee all my life. DI’s statement could mean this has been and continues to be a painful journey to many.
Yes, think about it.
That may be true, but English is not his L1.
Kim Jong-un. Not many occidentals know this, but he also invented outer space.
...and let’s not forget about the House of Rothschild coming in at the grossly exaggerated $500 trillion.
I can see the headlines now: Genius Gates Causes Global Famine
Ososilver, I am overseas and have been unable to obtain any Ivermectin. But if I do, what’s the dosage as a prophylactic for COVID-19? If you don’t mind, where was your prescription filled?
Thank you for the correction.
Ohzo, the long awaited 3rd qtr 10q was posted. Everything is still on track. Hold on to your shares.
I saw that article too. Cognate BioServices Announces Major Expansion of Manufacturing Facilities in US and Europe, dated Jan. 14, 2020. Of course, NWBO isn’t their only customer, but we aren’t clueless.
kab, see post #346081
thermoo, maybe I should already know this if posted before, but when do your warrants expire? ty
I’m paraphrasing but the document said laws of nature cannot be patented. Sounds reasonable. I hope Bosch doesn’t fall on his syringe over this.
Good questions Bill. I see ex shed some light already. In general, if a patent application isn’t approved, it doesn’t mean a related process won’t be employed by the applicant, right? I suppose a lawsuit might insue for patent infringement by another party, which doesn’t seem likely here IMO, or simply, the applicant’s process can legally be copied by other parties. I just don’t see this as very bad news for NWBO.
The Firm. Good movie. Jerry McGuire, not so much :)
Hi FeMike, What makes you think a significant selling event will occur this coming Tuesday? Thx.
Hey Kab, Thx for the reply. Not to boast, but I’m easily looking at $20 million in capital gains if all goes according to plan, and I recall hearing that the c/g tax, whenever it passes, would be retroactive to the start of a tax year. I hope and pray that this is all just a bunch o’ BS like you said. Campaign promises are meant to be broken. As I’ve always said, Democrats, Republicans, same crap, different piles :)
Gary, what do you think of this strategy: cash out and pay the capital gains as a hedge against the rate increasing next year, then get back in by purchasing BO company stock?
In my experience, some 10-bagger penny stocks with low liquidities are still potentially worthless if nobody is there to buy them from you.
Yes, but big bucks would be at stake if a BO announcement comes out of nowhere. I think I’ll sell 10% as you described, and stay on the roller coaster for the additional 12-18 months.
FWIW, I have a TD margin account, but with a zero margin balance. TD assured me twice over the telephone in the recent past that my NWBO shares would not be loaned out.
Apparently, Flashworks IS the reason for the delay: https://google.brand.edgar-online.com/displayfilinginfo.aspx?FilingID=14493645-906-6910&type=sect&TabIndex=2&companyid=89350&ppu=%252fdefault.aspx%253fcompanyid%253d89350
Any snowflakes care to respond out there?
If somebody owns a phone, they own a voice recorder, and plausible deniability goes out the window. I don’t believe the story.
