Schneidku, I remember him saying, that he has a quote from an auditing firm sitting on his desk. I wonder how much it was for, because he very carefully did not say anything more about it.
If I understand correctly ztect is that, In a "what if" scanario, Mr. Ferris could conceivably try to buy up over 50% of the company? I don't think its even possible to come close if the numbers are correct.
http://moneycentral.msn.com/ownership?symbol=VTSI
Yes greed can be motivating, and so can fear. I hope VTSI knows that investors always fearing the worst possible scenarios are the ones who survive on pink sheet stocks. I'm nearly swaying in opinion here and not because I have doubt in VTSIs ability, but because having a $9 dollar stock on the pink sheet exchange may be reckless. NASDAQ investors don't buy pinks. Pink sheet investors do. We use different rules here because there are sooo many pink companies with less than honerable records.
I wonder if their advisors were familiar with PINKs or just NAS. Because the strategy sounds great for a NASDAQ company and yet it seems a little nutty for here.
Cool, some back and forth.
I don't want Ferris to know my name or take any time from designing systems, and growing the company. If he's placating stockholders, he's wasting time that should be spent with customers. imo
I agree, we all put money in stocks for returns.
Pink sheet investors don't care why its up or for how long, figure everyone is lying about everything, I think is what keeps you alive in this pirhanna bath.
A CEO with Nasdaq ideals in a pink sheet market, is only going to piss everyone off. Im hoping his hard work will show in the financials, and they arent even audited. I see the duality there.
I'm not saying Ferris is a "nice" guy. I'm saying
he's not a thief - as are 80% of pink CEOs
he's not a guy who quits or runs, 90%
he hasnt Failed; 98% of pink CEOs
He has proven himself and his company beyond the point where I can glance up and say "I know more about what VTSI needs than he does".
If you can feel that way, you must spend huge amounts of time gathering data. Maybe you figure he's lying which is only the safe thing to. It will keep you safer here thats for sure.
I smell a little smoke from what we are voting on, but to be realistic, Ferris couldve crashed and burned this company to go private, dozens of times over by simply not finding amazing ways to overcome the difficulties he faced. But somehow we are here, and i'm giving him what he says he needs.
If I didn't see something special with Ferris and his current team, I would be out of this stock.
Thanks for a correction that I really should know Weo. I really thought Kelly was behind all the Dutchess dealings.
RE: Mr. Ferris wanted to sell the company. I was here for it all, and heres my take.
If you werent here for that point in the timeline, it sure seemed like it was the best deal for him and the share holders.
-The management team wasnt getting along.
-The company was in tremendous toxic debt.
-the IRS was threatenening for back taxes.
-There was little interest in company stock or its products.
Some shareholders were upset that it didnt go through. Kelly, as nice a guy as he was, appearently, left the company drowning in dept then was selling shares as Ferris was trying to dig us out.
Thats my memory of the situation, it was all left on Mr. Ferris to pay for the huge corporate VTSI mess. He was paying loan shark interest rates for toxic loans.
Nothing was worked out with the govt. -Surprise- we hadnt payed taxes and owed a large amount of cash and FINES there too.
I believe ANYONE would have really wanted to sell it off and start fresh. Mr. Ferris found a way to do that and multiply our immediate value at the same time.
He was blocked from doing it, and still he brought us to where we are now. It took him years and YES, I am very impressed.
Kelly was a master at shareholder communications, but failed in the business of selling, financing, or creating true value.
Mr. Ferris made this company debt free, makes the customers happy, and designs some damn fine simulators. He may not have the gift of gab, or even the desire to paint rosy "what could happen" if everything goes perfect scenarios like most CEOs on the pinks like to paint. But, he's the finest CEO I have invested in.
My 450K shares will say yes to his reverse split. For no other reason than he says he needs it to happen. He's made good on EVERYTHING where others have failed. He has shown more integrety and keen business sense than I have seen on a Nasaq company, not to mention the OTC or pinks. I think the guys a diamond.
Fortunately has hasnt said that he really needs the other articles to pass as much as the reverse split. I only know he says he needs The first two and so its done as far as I'm concerned.
The rest I will vote similar to SirFelix. If Mr. Ferris ever makes a hard arguement for the others, I'll reconsider them too. He's simply proven himself here too many times, and on too many levels for me to second guess his ability or his motif.
If he could save that messed up little VTSI of two years ago, I can't wait to see what he can do with THIS VTSI.
It would take about 2 hours for a high school kid to create a basic website that would have more informative than any conferance call.
To say it isnt a priority for ANY company that sells anything, to have an informative and factual website, Is just not being truthful.
The only possible explanation for no site is that they are hiding information. They do not want anyone to know things. If you want to believe the things they are hiding are good, thats up to you. I don't see that as possible, but obviously, there is nothing to go on, by design of this company.
They suggest they can create solar film and now wind energy better than the competition, yet making a competant three page website still eludes their best abilities. omg.....
Sounds like they'll be closing one PO box in Prescott and then getting a larger PO box in Scottsdale.
Ive got to agree jackharry. I see these paid pumps and get scared about how many shares they paid these guys. Its a negative sign for me personally. I like the product, but would be far more impressed by the CEO taking a minute to release something to shareholders about what he thinks, or plans for the future.
The little biased blurbs from a paid firm only mean these same guys will be selling their fee shares in the future. I do like the product though, and if they can land some cruise liners or resort contracts it would go far. Really impressed by how tight the float is too. Someone has been accumulating small amounts over a long period of time.
Thanks for those numbers lurker... your not so quiet after all.
Well, someone is sitting at the .004s and taking all the shares they can get. If someone truly knows something, this may have been a great day for their accumulation.
Since we have no idea what would make this company more valuable this week than it was last week, I don't understand why the expectation was for it to go up indefinately. I'm glad there was someone out there who still wants it in quantity.
Thanks SuperC, I hope we can hear something from the company.
I havent heard any news, or any reason for the gains here. Can anyone tell me why this is going up in the first place?
Is there any speculation on just who it is that has millions of shares, doesnt care the least for the company, its or its stock and wants to dump all of it like its on fire?
I'm sure we can weather this, but can't help but wonder who this is, and if this will ever be repeated.
Well its news to me, tbonaces80. I live just north of Chicago, and this is the the first one I know of in my area. Now Local, County, and state agencies can see it first hand.
Thanks!
-Rob
Thanks for the plain english explaination e-ore!
Its like someone wanted to crash this companys stock into the ground on purpose. This decision saves them the trouble of having to drag me into a dark alley to complete there "business transactions".
I still feel good about SUNV. A company with real contracts, and real LED and solar technology.
Thanks TEEROY, VTSI right there. Good one.. eom
I wish we had a good estimate of how many shares dutchess has remaining of vtsi stock.
Aaaahhh, Bylo would definately want to change his name and start over by now. The negative slant makes sense now too.
I just figured its trading like this because Dutchess is dumping into every gain until they run out of shares (hopefully today).
Thanks for the reply buckster.
This is what it sounded like to me. Everyone from NASA, RKA, and every other Satellite maker, to the earthbound Gadget makers would be after the highest output Solar Film, but if I misunderstood one acronym in the usage or type of film, It could mean something completely different.
Oh well, either way, I'm not selling any for a long time.
Does Anyone have knowledge what the latest news means??
I would think it was enormous that we could be part of a 45% increase in solar output from film.... I just don't know enough about the applications or the competition to truly understand the possibilities from this.
Sunovia Researchers Shatter World Record Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) for Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) Thin Film Solar Cells by over 45%.
SUNV must be flying way under the Radar so get so little attention after a day like this. I hope to know more about the solar panel news release soon. Right now, its in the "way too good to be true" department.
I must not understand something critical about what they mean here, because it would be in the major news if it was.
right???
BTW, DD = Due Diligence = Required Research = RR?
Thanks Ionized. eom
Thanks for the links, But am I missing something? The web page is a link to an email and nothing more. The SEC link is a 404 error.
Wait, I am missing something, because the bookmarks show a working website...
I already did...
Glad you brought it up $oldier. I usually just browse through posts, but I ALWAYS stop and read Claytraders. His charts are worth a lot to me and usually forge a better understanding of what to expect.
I read one poster who blamed Claytrader for stocks going down, and one poster who admonished a buyer for buying at the bid instead of paying more to buy at the ask...
-- Two lunitic posts on the same board, same day. --
shakes head
Posts like those are why I only scan message boards.
-Best to us all.
80s man,
Etrade should work it out and put the correct symbol for your stock when its open for you to trade.
In some cases, like restricted shares etc. you would need to call them to fax a form for you to sign, but in this case of just a (huge and disgusting) reverse split, I believe everything will be completed for you automatically.
The numbers instead of the symbol, keep you from being able to trade until the paperwork is completed.
This link to beverage world should work.
http://www.beverageworld.com/content/view/34029/157/
Very glad your here SirFelix. Looks like he's trying to wear you down so his slanted agenda can go unchallenged.
"All the crew" have not left. Not even most of them.
We even remember you bylo, and the lowlife reasons you spend your years bashing here.
When the stock is quiet, so are the longs. So stop spouting your cr_p and the posts on this board can be about the stock, and not the stuff that goes on in your head.
"Wake up" KCB, its low volume, but somethings up...
Ambient Introduces Newest Communications Node, X-2000
BusinessWire - April 07, 2008 9:00 AM ET
Ambient Corporation (OTCBB: ABTG) announced today the incorporation of key design innovations into the latest model of its communications node, commercially known as the X-2000. Ambient's hybrid platform, Ambient Smart Grid(TM), supports multiple communications technologies such as cellular, fiber and power line carrier along with previously supported technologies such as Broadband over Power Lines (BPL) and Wi-Fi.
The combination of a flexible modular communications platform based on a single device, the Ambient X-2000, minimizes utility equipment needed at the transformer. The X-2000 also incorporates Ambient's current and voltage sensing capabilities; very important for utilities to monitor power delivery and operational status.
The Ambient Smart Grid(TM) enables a two-way, real-time communications platform, utilizing the X-2000, to serve the "last mile" backhaul, necessary for utilities to implement smart grid applications such as Advanced Meter Reading (AMR), real-time pricing, Demand Side Management (DSM) and direct load control. When combined, these applications can offer economic, operational and environmental benefits for utilities and utility customers.
Thank you Polkamatic. -eom-
Wow, what a move this morning... I can't find a reason for this yet, but someone knows something good.
Guessing we'll see news real soon.
I havent heard any rumors.
Anyone?
The website link in i-box brings up the wrong website.
When I found the real website, the "investor relations" tab tells me "This page does not exist".
It seems like somethings missing here.
The real website (I think) is:
http://www.acsensor.com/
imialover, agree with your msg, however
Not .024 but $0.24, 2M shares cant buy a second glance at the releases they send.
Well... QS is back, lets see if they can make up for that embarrasing typo from their last spammy sounding release.
-------------------------------
"Today the stock made an explosive move to $0.24 for 50% gains"
-------------------------------
Nope, not sober yet... Maybe tomorrow.
Thank You, to the REGULAR VTSI posters. You are the ones who have made the solid reasons to be in this stock. If the world were right, QS would have to turn over the 2M shares to you guys.
Makes good business sense, Im glad the General is in charge. He knows his competition.
Thanks Teeroy.
Thanks up-down,
Its been pretty boring here lately. I appreciate you showing the chart specifics, I didnt notice this.
