No dice on the deal or what?
Okay, here's a new proposal: everything from the previous proposal PLUS I'll include 'investorshub.com' in large yellow font on all charts I post to Clearstation in exchange for a premium membership here. Based on my previous free image host, I was averaging between 150 and 200 unique eyeballs per chart. That good exposure - particularly on a competitors site.
Fine, just one additional consideration and the deal will be acceptable.
My posting history is deleted.
I'll check back in a couple hours, if my posting history is deleted and I am no longer restricted to posting only in 'JAIL' I will assume the deal has been consummated and I will begin the process of requesting that some Clearheads move over here.
Here is a example:
http://clearstation.etrade.com/cgi-bin/bbs?post_id=4833354&Refer=/index.html
Also, if you select 'Messages By Member' at the bottom of the page, you can access the full library of my posts.
Clearheads are expressing tremendous disappointment with the website's recent problems (extremely slow loading); this is your opportunity to start soliciting for new IHubheads.
One nice feature of this site is the ability to post images (stock charts). Though, IMO, Clearstation still outperforms simply because you can do full HTML editing embedded in messages. Any chances IH will allow this in the future?
New, Special Offer!!
--> I won't post about e.Digital anywhere on this site.
--> Clearstation has really been giving up the ghost lately; I will attempt to influence a migration of Clearheads to Investorhub.
In return I request my release and the ability to trash this alias and replace it with my Clearstation alias.
Act fast! Supplies are limited!
Thanks, but no thanks. Pay to contribute my analysis which, I might add, is professional in quality, often prescient and occasionally demands payment itself? You've got to be kidding?!
The business concept of charging individuals to provide content for your advertising venue is a example of a poorly conceived business model and one bound to fail, particularly so given that the value-added features of a premium membership are at best trivial and at worst a rip-off. I would consider a membership if features such as charts, quotes, portfolios, or hosting space to upload annotated charts was offered – at least offer something of measurable value. Simply adding features to “enhance” the chat room experience is a recipe for disaster and probably appeals only to internet chat addicts, individuals encountering difficulties connecting with other individuals in the actual world, the handicapped, mentally ill, perverted and obese.
Further, as a business operator, your reluctance to allow some controversy on individual threads is also rooted in poor logic as it is common knowledge that controversy (eg “bashers” versus longs) often is good publicity and attracts new eyeballs, like slowing down to peek at a car wreck, and new eyeballs are opportunities to transition into premium members and/or fodder for higher advertising rates.
I’m just positing some constructive criticism. Enjoy nuking this alias.
Okay. Next time I see a old lady at a busy intersection I promise to help her cross the street.
Matt, I have a deal for you. If allowed my freedom I will never post on the EDIG thread again nor discuss the company or the company's stock anywhere on this website.
Oh fearless ruler, my wife has lost twenty pounds and our fourth borne child, a beautiful sandy-eyed girl, has died. We have been living off the fat of the land, mainly consuming sand, mud and, occasionally, left over military armaments from the cold war era. Eating tank shells doesn't seem to be providing the necessary nutrients to the little ones, though their iron and lead counts are increasing dramatically.
I beg of you, compassionate and caring ruler, to free me so I can do God’s work and bash publicly traded companies for a pittance.
May Ad al-Bashassan remember you and bequeath upon you forty virgins, black olives and a goblet of the finest red wine upon your martyrdom!

Merciful and forgiving leader, I am paid by my employer whose policy it is to never discuss how they receive payment. I am paid on a per message basis with additional incentives included when the price of our targeted company moves lower. I am merely not intelligent enough to understand more than that and I have learned my lessons with asking questions—as we are frequently beaten with broomsticks should I or any of my peers become too curious. The warm and sympathetic eyes of Abu al-Bahrahrahma look over my family and I and it is he who has blessed me with such a caring, forgiving and compassionate leader such as you! I shall offer you- kind and understanding leader- a local prayer that your goats yield an abundance of milk and wool and that your mud shanty never be stricken by the desert winds : Qul aoozhu bi rubbil falaq; min sharri ma khalaq Wa min sharri ghasiqin Izha waqub Wa min sharri ennaffathati fi el oqad Wa min sharri hasidin izha hasud.
And it has been said!
May the mischief of darkness and the mischief of those who practice Secret Arts be abolished from your domain!

Oh compassionate ruler! My children are starving and my wife is threatening to leave me. I am a poor, working man forced to bash publicly traded companies to earn a living, and living is difficult here. You, my considerate and omnipotent leader, have taken away my only source of sustenance. I pray to Ahmed al-Isbahdhad thirteen times before sunrise and seven times at sunset that you, magnificent one, will treat my poor and desolate soul with mercy, compassion and caring. The lives of eight young mouths are depending on you!
May the blessed hand of Ahmed al-Isbahdhad gently caress your greatest aspirations!

Yes! Yes my dearest friend, companies do provide guidance; at least companies trying to establish a track record and credibility do this. Proving to investors that management has a pulse on their markets and business is a key function toward attracting BIG money and one way to provide this evidence is by disclosing expectations through measurable data and, hopefully, meeting them or not missing them too badly. Even the largest companies in the world, with extremely diverse revenue streams engaged in complex markets, generally can provide investors with a sense for what management expects - expressed in numbers. If e.Digital can't (or most likely - won't), well that don't bode well.
You asked how I happened to find this company. I am here because my employer pays me to be here.
May your greatest dreams become a reality,
Ibash Forcash, Pakistan
Hello my friends and confidants! A glorious day! Please, let's be truthful with ourselves; many companies provide margin and revenue guidance. Though it may not be exact, they typically do offer a general range to manage investor expectations. They may state something to the effect of 'margins are expected to be 20% give or take five percent'. My feeling is e.Digital doesn't provide guidance in the form of measurable numbers, not in a strategic effort to keep competition guessing but, rather, because the numbers will, on balance, disappoint. Remember now, e.Digital has always been forthcoming with information WHEN it can be cast in a positive light. "Mums the word" when the information is disappointing. Truthfully and honestly, this is the precedent set by the folks in the executive suite. Margins on the IFE project will be razor thin – this, my friends, I can assure you of. E.Digital’s business plan is selling dollar bills for ninety-cents to companies beneficially owned by friends or insiders themselves, and making up that deficit by retailing common stock. It is the quintessential example of a pump and dump stock and believe me when I tell you that the “White Knights” (friendly financiers) are also “Dark Knights” – money is made both ways, by the same people.
Have a wonderful weekend my American friends!
May the good fortunes of God embrace you always!
Ibash Forcash, Pakistan
Semantics, my dear friend, semantics; though I believe the point was well understood.
e.Digital is placing itself in the role of a liaison between CE retailers/wholesalers and the manufacturers.
You want to get a MP3 to market fast without going through the entire product development cycle? e.Digital will license you a design and have that design manufactured for you via their relationship with DigitalWay. Same with IFE, APS and the mystery Asian OEM. Though APS is the "point of sale" into the market in this situation while e.Digital is supplying the design and handling the manufacturing logistics.
e.Digital CONTRACTS manufacturing... just as a contractor in the home building industry would contract the supplies, design and labor.
It's a position that e.Digital finds itself in, not by choice, but by necessity. They ain't got no money. Based on the numbers we have seen so far, e.Digital isn't getting much from licensing their designs and the margins on quarterbacking the product development cycle are razor thin. e.Digital is trying to pick up pennies left over from from inefficiencies throughout the supply chain. Tough racket, especially in consumer electronics and moreso when dealing with Asian manufacturers.
May one thousand wishes be granted to you,
Ibash Forcash, Pakistan
Let's be honest with ourselves, friends. e.Digital is a contract manufacturer, plain-and-simple. Let's stop over-complicating matters around here. They act as a liaison between DigitalWay and third-party CE firms interested in turn-key product lines and they will assume the same role with the recently announced Asian OEM. To date, there is nothing to support the assertion that e.Digital can successfully find a profitable niche in this space - not MP3 players, not TeleMatics and it certainly won't be IFE devices. EDIG's margins have been non-existent and when they do appear they are razor thin. Put simply and honestly, e.Digital's role within the Engineering, Design, Development, Manufacturing product-cycle is rewarded with a very thin cut piece from the cash pie. My friends, so thin is the piece that the company has a difficult time generating a profit after accounting for the costs of goods sold. That is pathetic and speaks to the incompetence in the executive suite at e.Digital Coporation. Let’s stop turning our heads to what is going on here – the IFE device, just as which was undeniably true with the TeleMatics and MP3 Players, should be left on the Consumer Electronics Show cutting room floor. It just doesn’t have star quality. And if you think APS is going to be a white knight for the perpetual e.Digital-damsel in distress; think again – you’re wrong. APS is going to get it’s ass handed to it. It has no business trying to play big dog in a nascent, widely untested and uncertain, market space for consumer electronics. None. It lacks capital, it lacks managerial experience and it’s small size puts it at a distinct disadvantage relative to its much larger competitors. They do have a vision, I’ll give them that much. Vision; it is something that e.Digital investors have been disabused off from their managerial team for nearly a decade. Poway is left riding the coattails of true technological visionaries and grabbing for left over hay pennies embedded within the closing inefficiencies of the product development cycle.
Sincerely and Best of Luck To All...
Ibash Forcash, Pakistan
