You should be doing due diligence and making your determination as to the investment value of a company.
I'll share with you a few of the findings of my due diligence.
ChromaDex probably has by far the greatest potential of any company that I have been analyzing -- and I track and analyze hundreds of companies. In addition to looking at the very impressive product portfolio, take a look at who is investing in the ChromaDex:
*** ChromaDex's largest shareholder is the legendary billionaire investor healthcare investor Phillip Frost, a Forbes 400 billionaire, (GOOGLE him) who has invested in roughly one-fifth of the stock. Dr. Frost has an uncanny knack for identifying early-stage companies that are headed toward huge successes.
He and a partner bought Key Pharmaceuticals for $100,000. They sold it to Schering Plough for $800 million.
Next, Dr. Frost founded IVAX. After developing it into a strong company, he sold IVAX to TEVA Pharmaceuticals in 2006 for $7.4 billion.
Frost is also the Chairman of the world's largest generic producer and Israel's largest public company, Teva Pharmaceutical.
*** Corporate finance guru Barry Honig (GOOGLE him) has parlayed large sums of money into small-cap stocks and generated strong returns time and time again.
Honig has purchased 1,800,000 shares of ChromaDex and has been increasing his holdings.
Growing revenues form $3M to north of $125M, Honig actively led InterCLICK as Chairman to its $270M buyout from Yahoo! He was the mastermind behind SendTec, Neviant, and Seisint - transforming operations from one level to the next.
He is now actively accumulating shares of ChromaDex with the most recent purchase being 8/15/12. Honig actually shares an office with Frost who has also been adding to his leading stake.
*** The ChromaDex Board and their families have been increasing their holdings and hold approximately 60% of the stock.
No insider has ever sold any of their stock!!!
The insiders know more about a company than the investors, and if you want to make money, follow the lead of the insiders -- especially when there is a clear trend as to their actions.
A recently published paper in Cancer Chemotherapy & Pharmacology reported that pterostilbene’s effects were “three to four times greater,” than similar treatments based on a compound known as resveratrol.
That’s an especially important revelation in so far as investors are concerned because many of you will recall that GlaxoSmithKline has a huge stake in the control of resveratrol.
In 2008, the United Kingdom pharmaceutical giant paid about $720 million to acquire resveratrol maker Sirtris. Since then, GSK has invested millions more in resveratrol’s potential as a treatment for diseases that people get as they age.
To date, GlaxoSmithKline’s pharmaceutical grade resveratrol has not made it through the clinical trial process required to win U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval. But as a lower-dose dietary supplement, resveratrol does not have to pass that sort of regulatory scrutiny.
What would Chromadex be worth if Glaxo paid $720 million for an inferior product?
When you consider these as well as the many other factors, there is little doubt as to where the price of ChromaDex stock is heading … much, much higher.
