Alert for Baltia's N706BL proving flights can be set at FlightAware.com.
Dinner with Baltia last night...
So I had a wonderful dinner with one of Baltia's founding VPs last night and thought I'd offer my two cents as follow up to my previous post.
First let me say, I'm 100% confident that there is NOTHING that will stop Baltia from getting passed these last two hurdles. Not the process, the cost, the regulators (whom are huge Baltia fans), the weather, etc. NOTHING will stop them.
I say this for a few reasons but most importantly because they will not stop the evac exercise until it is complete... one way or another it will be accomplished... and I believe we are merely weeks away. It is so enlightening to deal in days and weeks now than it was months and years prior.
What's even more encouraging is that we actually spent a good amount of time discussing what can be expected during typical proving flights... 50 to 100 hours of domestic and international flights with FAA on board simulating emergency and other circumstances. With Baltia's flight crew and experience, it will most certainly be a walk in the park and I look forward to tracking their every move on FlightAware.
If anyone is interested in registering for notifications of N706BL, I'd recommend creating a FlightAware account. It's FREE and it literally takes 5 minutes or less. I'm not sure if anyone's posted instructions here but it's very simple.
Once you join FlightAware:
Click on 'My Alerts' at the top of the home page.
On the right hand side, click the link 'Set Up A New Alert'.
In #1, click the toggle next to 'Tail' and enter N706BL.
In #2 select 'Indefinite'.
In #3, make sure your proper email address is checked and change the scroll bar on the right from 'On the Flight' to 'Advanced'.
Check the box next to each option to receive notifications for 'Scheduled', 'Departed', 'Arrived', 'Cancelled', and 'Diverted'.
Lastly, click 'SETUP ALERT' at the bottom right of the page.
You will instantly get an email from FlightAware letting you know that you have successfully registered for the alert.
There has been some discrepancy in the past with an error in tail number entry of another aircraft but this will correct itself once the first proving flight is scheduled for N706BL.
Best of luck and looking forward to the next few weeks.
In light of today’s Facebook post, I wanted to share my opinion of Baltia and its management team.
To provide some history, I invested in my first Baltia private placement six years ago. I’ve accumulated on the open market while also increasing my private placement position along the way. I communicate with Baltia’s management team every week to stay up to date on my investment.
I’ve never been more confident in my Baltia investment than I am today. I actually maintain this sentiment on a recurring basis. The reason for this is Baltia’s professionalism and transparency throughout the process. When I visit JFK, they always make themselves available. When I call them, they answer the phone. If they are busy, they call me back and address any questions or concerns that I have.
Furthermore, this is the final stretch of a long road and I’ve never seen management more determined and enthusiastic about what most Baltia investors know to be right around the corner. While the Evac exercise is a major accomplishment, it is just another task on Baltia’s checklist to certification... it just so happens to be in Phase III and one of two final hurdles.
There is no doubt in my mind that Baltia will achieve their Part 121 Certificate.
Just like Baltia purchased N706BL…
Just like Baltia received DOT route authority for JFK-LED…
Just like Baltia’s SAI and Operating Manuals were submitted and approved…
Just like Baltia’s maintenance requirements on the aircraft are completed…
Just like Baltia’s hiring of crew is completed…
Just like Baltia has persevered, PASSING Phases I and II and a portion of Phase III of the FAAs grueling certification process…
And just like a slew of other Baltia accomplishments, they will complete the Evac exercise and proving flights to obtain the Part 121 Certificate.
Baltia’s executive team has monumental airline experience and their relationship with the FAA throughout the certification process in Michigan has been nothing less than exemplary.
Without writing a novel, this is why I’m so confident in Baltia’s position in the process and what’s to come of this airline. The time is here and now.
-Greek
When your projection is realized, there will be a lot of happy investors who stuck it out. According to their list of accomplishments and what remains in the certification process, seems to be right around the corner.
Looks to be we are right around the corner to FAA certification according to this chart of accomplished tasks and what is remaining. Thank you for sharing.
They put a lot of updates on their Facebook page... Great pictures there as well.
Baltia advances into Phase II of the FAA Air Carrier Certification
Baltia advances into Phase II of the FAA Air Carrier Certification
Apr 17, 2013
YPSILANTI, Mich. - Today Baltia Air Lines (BLTA) filed an 8K Report showing that it has successfully completed the Gate 1 requirements and has advanced into Phase II of the FAA Air Carrier Certification process. The Report states:
On March 28, 2013, at the FAA East Michigan Flight Standards District Office Baltia Air Lines senior staff and their FAA counterparts conducted a Formal Meeting to review Baltia's certification documentation and management readiness.
On April 10, 2013, Baltia received confirmation that Baltia's management personnel, system design, and other supporting documentation were found to be satisfactory.
The FAA Certification Team has determined that Baltia meets the requirements of FAA Order 8900.1 Volume 10 Chapter 2 Section 6 and is fit to enter into Phase II of the ATOS Certification Process.
Mr. Igor Dmitrowsky, President of Baltia stated, "Obtaining our gate passage is the single most stringent requirement of the certification process. It's a major milestone in our company's rapid progress toward becoming America's newest airline." Mr. Dmitrowsky further stated, "I am proud of our staff whose dedication has made this milestone event possible. Everyone at Baltia is excited about this major accomplishment."
In an interview, Mr. Barry Clare, Vice President of Finance stated, "There are no words to express the elation I had when Baltia was told that it had obtained gate passage. The staff and all of Baltia's shareholders have been waiting for this event for a very long time. Everyone at Baltia was hugging and congratulating each other when news of the gate passage was received." Mr. Clare also stated, "I would like to thank all of Baltia's shareholders for their support and for believing in us. I'm very proud to be part of America's newest airline."
About Baltia
Baltia's goal is to become the leading U.S. airline in the trans-Atlantic market between major U.S. cities and capital cities of Eastern Europe, including Russia, Latvia, Ukraine, and Belarus. Baltia intends to provide high quality three-class passenger service, and reliable cargo and mail transportation. Baltia plans to begin their foreign scheduled air transportation as the only U.S. airline offering nonstop service to St. Petersburg, Russia.
CTIA Mobile Con in San Diego... Has anyone heard about the booth they're setting up for this event?
You'd think the company would be in communication with brokers to ensure liquidity. I'll reach out to investor relations. Strange.
TD shows it as chill restricted. Maybe I'll call investor relations and ask them.
CHILL RESTRICTION QUESTION...
I may have missed this in a prior discussion but why is there a chill restriction on BBDA? Do we know if/when Bebida will get it corrected?
Star... thanks for your predictions... I, too, enjoy your newfound optimism just like LT.
LT,
"......clearly just a hypothetical question........"
I love hypotheticals. Thanks for keeping your sentiment about Baltia positive... Can you imagine if a hypothetical letter of approval wasn't really hypothetical???? How awesome that would be. It's such a nice contrast to hear from one of the more hopeful investors... And hopefully we all have a chance of meeting at the inaugural whenever that may occur.
Nope... nothing erroneous. I have the right expectation based on weekly conversation with the company. Tried that yet?
Jimdc8 QUOTE...
-I thought I'd re-submit Jimdc8's post with pertinent information... I removed the part that was off topic. Great info Jimdc8. Thank you.
"When I saw the Delta DC-9's I wasn't paying much attention to the series at the time. As for my experience, I am an ATP with 15,000 flight hours with 7 type ratings. I am VERY familiar with the 747-200! Connie Kalitta makes a ton of money flying them all around the world. The aircraft is a workhorse!!! N706BL is in awesome shape. I have many friends at Kalitta in OSC who have worked on this aircraft. The -200 does 80% of what a -400 can do for a fraction of the initial cost which makes it perfect for a startup. Even Richard Branson started Virgin Atlantic with -200's and operated them until just a few years ago! Delta phased them out simply because the cost per seat mile is cheaper with the -400. Simple economics for a company with deep pockets.
And yes, Delta does fly some aircraft that are older than N706BL!!! That is a fact.
BTW, the USAF still flies -200's under a military designation. The B-52 is also doing just fine at a mere 50+ years and plans for 25 + more!"
QUOTE:
"BLTA has made millions of dollars according to their SEC filings." - FALSE. Baltia has raised millions in capital to fund operations such as office expense, aircraft purchase and maintenance, FAA certification process, issuance to employees that can't and/or haven't been unrestricted to sell. They have not "made" any money to date.
"They have never flown a paid passenger in 13 years." - Contradiction to the FALSE statement... the above mentioned "made".
"The CEO made $16,000,000 over the last 2 years." - FALSE. The CEO has been issued stock for compensation. If attempting to sell the stock there is no purchase volume that even equates to 1% of the "$16,000,000." The CEO only earns when operations commense, restriction is lifted, forms are filed with the SEC for CEO to sell shares AND the volume permits. Basically, they are all working for free.
"If BLTA does not fly soon or never flies; BLTA will continue make millions with no operations." FALSE - Baltia does not make millions. They raise capital to fund operations listed above. If Baltia does not fly soon or never flies, funding will diminish.
Quote: "obviously the meeting did not inspire anyone to pay full price for the shares in the open market today"
Again... Why would a meeting with potential investors have any direct impact on the open market quote? One has nothing to do with the other in the short term of things.
Either the potential investors weigh the risk and buy or they don't buy.
Baltia of the last 3 years is a different company than Baltia the concept from 23 years ago. For those invested old and new, it's time to start looking at the last 3 years.
They are on the brink of generating their first revenue. The moment that plane lands at JFK, everything begins to change... including this board.

N706BL
And for those concerned about just 1 plane... I believe there's another waiting in the wings... just as clean as this one.
GO BALTIA!

If an investment group is interested in contributing to the company's funding by purchasing large block positions for longer term gain, it's done through IPO or in this case Private Placement... not the open market.
Investing in a Startup 101
I'd hardly call it clandestine. If a group of investors are interested in meeting with a company, is the company supposed to invite EVERYONE to the meeting?... or are they supposed to issue a PR saying they're meeting with a potential group of investors or something? Maybe there's some link to an SEC guideline about that.
FlightAware...
Something tells me I should be monitoring N706BL like a hawk (or should I say rooster) over the next couple weeks.

GO BALTIA!
That Schedule of Events is dated April, 2010 with a revision date of April, 2011. Obviously we are beyond those projections but who is to say that some of those events haven't begun already? Also, many of them require the aircraft to be at JFK... which brings us back to my post from a few days ago.

I think it's time we start watching.

Best of luck to all Baltia Air Lines investors as we watch this fine startup working diligently to complete the the final stages of FAA certification.
For any curious Baltia investors that don't already know, FlightAware is used to track aircraft movement in real-time.
When you query N706BL at FlightAware, you will see it last flew from Victorville, CA to Oscada, MI after it was outfitted in Baltia's livery. This occurred 46 weeks ago according to FlightAware.
We've been waiting a long time for its next flight to JFK where the certification process will be completed. The FlightAware link below will allow you to track N706BL once the flight is scheduled for departure. Something tells me our wait will soon be at an end.

Great DD.
LT, in reference to your comments that I pasted below, you're definitely on the money. Most government agencies work at snail's pace during a holiday period which would have impacted the progress of Baltia's submittal.
LT's comments regarding the significance of a holiday period and its effect on Balita's manuals approval process, he stated:
"The stock market has absolutely nothing to do with it....
However....think like this: The stock market works harder and more days in a week than the average government employee.......
Therefore....if the stock market is at 70% for the week....your average government employee is at ...hmmmm...about 50% (and that is being generous).....
"Never do today......what you can put off till next week"...................
It is a fact of life.....just can't give you a link.....it is the kind of frustration you have to experience for yourself...every time.......over and over again......at every level of the government....."
Looks like the market makers are asleep today.
Simple supply and demand. A guy (maybe the guy from LT's group that wants to bail for another investment) is trying to liquidate his final shares... there are 95,900 shares available at .022 which looks like the remainder of his order over the last few trading days. There's a buyer out there looking to pick up 400,000 at .021. There's no other pending Ask below .032 at the moment.
Just to put this into perspective, someone is trying to liquidate about $2,100 worth of stock. It can EASILY be moved back up to .04 in the coming weeks even on low volume. We're talking about miniscule orders affecting the share price until we have manuals approval.
We aint seen nothin yet... and I continue to accumulate.
As a shareholder with a decent position and part of a larger investment group, we all agree that the first plane served its purpose perfectly. No complaints here! :)
GO BLTA!
My group is pretty heavily invested... and as shareholders, not one of us considers it a mistake. Served its purpose perfectly. GO BLTA.
You are correct. If one really wishes to view a short report on BLTA and provide accurate information to this board, it's available at otcmarkets.com.
http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/BLTA/short-sales
Inaccurate information = diminished credibility
Those who bought PP at .055 several years ago had opportunities to sell at .07-.08. The 52 week high is .06 so another opportunity to exit at a gain. They've also had great opportunities to cost average down by stealing shares as low as .014. ZERO sympathy for non-believers.
Ohhh man the selling pressure is just intolerable. We only had 38K in the bank 3 months ago... Half billion more shares. Ugh... What will we ever do... <Insert sweaty brow face>
If I'm not mistaken, we closed at .0299 yesterday? That would be 1 ten thousandth from .03.
Is he being paid in stock or cash? I haven't done the research to know but I'm sure he's not doing it for free. If he's being paid in stock, are the shares restricted?
Bay I hope you're right. Good article. Still not a fan of celebs promoting penny stocks.
