Why would a meeting with potential investors have any direct impact on the open market quote? One has nothing to do with the other in the short term of things.

If an investment group is interested in contributing to the company's funding by purchasing large block positions for longer term gain, it's done through IPO or in this case Private Placement... not the open market.
