Melones Fault
Somebody help me out here.
Have begun watching NBRI. Sounds good...........plenty of tertiary gravel flowing through, unquestionably successful mines in the area..........but can never be too careful about these mining companies (have had enough direct, personal, one-on-one experience with mininf scams). My question(s):
Is this PURELY a tertiary gravel mine (initially, it sounds like one) or is the Ruby mining some hard rock, as well?
Reason I ask is in regards to this statement from the 10-3-13 press release:
"the Company has recently advanced past the 4900 level of the Ruby Tunnel and has crossed over the Melones Fault, the major controlling structure of the Motherlode"
First, if they are mining hard rock, the Melones Fault could be VERY important because SO many successful historical mines have been located along its path. But, if this is purely a tertiary gravel mine..........an underground "placer" mine, the Melones Fault would have NOTHING to do with the presence of gold..............as they are merely mining an ancient river that flowed over the Sierra Nevada from Central Nevada down into the Sacramento Valley.
If the Ruby Mine is mining some hard rock then any geologist/armchair geologist would agree that mention of the Melones Fault (and its presence at the Ruby) is important information. But if NBRI's mention of the Melones Fault just "mining speak" that is supposed to get readers/prospective shareholders all gooey/tingly, it rubs me the wrong way.
May seem like an insignificant point but, at this point, I'm trying to nail down the trustworthiness of Management prior to dumping a decent chunk of money into this company and merely wonder if they're for real or just another bunch of guys inflating their successes, writing bogus press releases and attempting to suck us dry.
