Good to hear from you to my friend. Even though it's a couple years later.
I had one of the "strangest" experiences 2 weeks ago. I had never even heard of the movie Inside Man.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inside_Man
It's a movie that was released in 2006 and is ultimately about a bank heist but it's nothing to do with stealing cash but rather about exposing a hidden truth that occurred. It roots on a bank that was founded by a man who has a hidden secret and for some reason the bank robber knows about it and even the safety deposit box, of which no record exists, which has the details of this secret.
You almost have to watch the movie several times to get the fundamental jist of what the author Russell Gewirtz is trying to say. I'm still piecing it together. For some reason, that movie, gave me a renewed hope on Corus Bankshares, there's just something really unusual about this bank. We don't know what it is but I just have this feeling that this is the true "diamond" the "ruby" the world has been looking for and we're all going to be a part of it. My shares are still all in my account with zero value, but like i've said in the past. Resurrection is His specialty.
SOON, MY FRIEND, SOON
Still believing for the miracle.
True, I think it may be an opportunity to get back in, only because in comparison to Linn, Ultra and Legacy......Breitburn is the only company that actually has equity value, about $3/share for commons. All the other companies have negative equity and Legacy hasn't declared bankruptcy yet.
Hi, yes the delisting, thanks.
Hi, sorry, can you explain the Q? What is it exactly? Thanks
They should come out of bankruptcy quite quickly with no material affect on commons. I think it's just to re-negotiate the debt terms.
I believe this situation is different from any other. I forget the name of the poster who posted a similar posting as to why he got into Cors, but he basically said he felt God led him into it for some unknown reason. All I can say is His ways and thoughts are higher than ours and based on that I hope and know He's working something out behind the scene that is somehow going to bring value to our old equity shares. I have a feeling it is soon, being the 7th year since our bankruptcy. God for some reason has the number 7 as a special #. Let's see what unfolds.
Have faith my friend, have faith.
Yes, we all know it's been a long time since there was any information or data on our Corus shares, but the dream is alive and still going strong. Believing for a miracle at this point which is really just a dream somewhat laced with God's touch. That touch has no limitations.
Agree, only 20 million shares. Lock and load up up and beyond.
We need some of the action LINE and CHK had today.
True, it will be a miracle to prove that miracles do still happen today.
Looks like all the loose shares being bought upward.
For Hero to have a warrant stike price of $70.50, there must have been some logical rational way to come up with that number. So I think we are way undervalued. Just waiting to see the Q4 statements and that should explain what we need to know.
Any news about when they will post last q financials?
Hi, Hero has not released their last Q statements yet, but most of us are waiting to see how they treated the swap of debt with equity. They have established a team to look at the possibility of selling the company or other alternatives with the price of oil still being so low.
True, but did Hero's mngt do all the right things to set up Hero for a buy out from a larger oil company? Time will tell. I'm just waiting for the last quarter financials to see how much they improved the co as a whole.
There must be a lot of short interest in this, which I think when the quarterly statements come out. This will jump way way higher.
These shares must be way undervalued. For Hero to substitute 1.2 billion of debt with a fraction amount of equity. The shares should have a book value of somewhere $60-$70. The only additional information was that they secured an additional $450 million in debt which should be reflected in cash. There must be a huge gain on their income statement for the removing of debt in the last quarter statements.
Yes, I also see some value from my old HERO shares. Is this possibly the warrants that were to come into value? I hope someone can shed some light and yes, please let this be true.
The settlement would resolve actual and potential civil claims by the U.S. Department of Justice, the New York and Illinois attorneys general, the National Credit Union Administration and the Federal Home Loan Banks of Chicago and Seattle.

Still have a lot of faith for our old Corus shares. It would be interesting if we could get as much dialogue when Corus was still active.
Interesting that we still have this many people following Corus. It's been a while since the bank was seized and the following bankruptcy proceeding but I do still fully believe we will have some value to our shares in the future.
Oil is a commodity that eventually will go up. If you think about the US politicians tied to oil, it's for sure going to rebound. All it really takes is a "new" war in the middle east or a hurricane in the gulf of Mexico. Aside from a general short squeeze.
I think the mngt of Hero set the company up to be either a perfect acquisition for a larger company or go through the long term rise in oil prices to add value.

I'm assuming shorts will have to spend some time to buy back some shares?
My bank has already adjusted the # of shares to the lower # but it hasn't placed any value on the shares yet.
As a fellow shareholder like you guys, does anyone know when the shares will come back online in the market? Has anyone contacted Hercules to find out? Thanks.
If you are who I think you are. I think we are all in good shape to be in Corus and Hero

Enough said, this is the solution to all our Corus speculations
I have no doubt it's coming, just a matter of timing.
Watch for a major rebound next week. Buy and hold till next week, I have a strong feeling that it will rebound up.
Trust me oil companies will be looking for companies like Hero that stand the test of time. If the rigs where built correctly they'll be able to withstand any natural disasters which would make them much more attractive.
What happens to the guys who shorted Corus Bankshares when it comes back to value. Do they have to declare bankruptcy when it comes back in the $'s?
You just really never know who's involved in this stock stuff. Even the possibility of "higher" powers. Let's see what happens.
I know you remember GGP, exactly what will happen with Hero. Corus comes back also and bingo new chips on the board.
Just look at the history of GGP and you'll figure out what's happening.
Hero will successfully convert some debt to equity, shorts will have to cover. I see some oil company's looking to diversify their business into oil drillers, Hero has the right mngt and team behind them who know exactly what they are doing. They are probably in talks with some oil companies about a buyout or merger, suddenly jumps into the $'s in value, above $5.00 for sure. It's just a matter of time, possibly days
