Jerry, Need help. Still running Win 7 and tried downloading the latest version of Medved. It keeps telling me I need .Net Framework 4.7.2. However, it will not update the .Net framework. Now I every time I attempt to start Medved is says I need the Net Framework and no matter if I say Yes or No I cannot start the program.
Thanks, Jeff
Just noticed my saved chart templates are gone. When I have chart up and go to load template it opens up Docs, Medved Trader, with a Backup File Folder and a Medved Trader File Folder. Need help. Jeff
Pretty funny even if I'm a Cheese Head. Go PACK!
Same for me. "Bad URL date param"
Thanks for all the suggestions to remedy my problem. Nothing worked so today took it into our little repair shop. The problem was power adapter cord was shot (the cord to computer). So, purchased a universal AC power adapter/charger which came with a bag of adapters for every laptop in existence! Was the least cost of all the possible fixes. Wife is happy with her computer again.
Have tried it without battery, still no power. Just a couple dim blinking power lights and then nothing.
Did a little researching and followed some recommendations offered for the same Lenovo problem and think your assessment that the MB is toast is more then likely correct.
Sounds like you hit a "Hosel Rocket" of the 1st tee. Bet all got a big laugh. That's not in my plan for 8:00 tee time in the morning.
Thanks Kitt, Tried unplugging rebooting, nothing, except a couple of dim power light blinks and then nothing.
"I've run into that problem at work when a battery is used beyond the charge life and then fails to recharge and upon checking, the voltages are reversed. I don't think I've been able to save a battery in this condition."
Never heard of that. Guess I'll have to take it in and have it checked out. Hoping it's just a power problem and fixable.
Wife has a Lenovo laptop that is on all the time with very little use on battery power. It's almost 3 yrs old. This morning she brought it out of sleep mode, worked for a bit and then by black screen. Had her manually shut it off for a minute then rebotted. It came up with Lenovo logo, she logged in with her password and it said battery is low and shutdown. Cannot do anything now.
Have my doubts it's the internal battery but wondering if the power converter could have died. Any suggestions appreciated.
Where in my post did I say Zab is not a sharp individual? I know he is very intelligent. When one states "I could care less about politics, at this age it has nothing to do with my life." and follows that with about 10 out of his next 12 posts are political, there must be a memory lapse. His post #4315 once again mentions age and caring less about politics.
You know I'm primarily a lurker since 2002 and followed Zeev diligently. This board had (past tense) interesting posts, but now has merely turned into a political bashing board primarily by three individuals. Will not mention their political persuasion, it's obvious.
Zeev would be rolling over in his grave having his name associated with a board with political posts, even though you gave an executive order that political posts are OK.
With respect to Zeev, I will unfollow this board.
Since your post of #4284 stating:
"I could care less about politics, at this age it has nothing to do with my life."
It's quite apparent at your age you also has a severe case of dementia, along with the inability to read the title of the board which reads: ZEEV's LEGACY [NO POLITICS].
Thanks for posting the article. Will never forget Zeev, brilliant yet ever so humble.
Miss both of them. Great post.
Gassiev is 23-0, 17 by KO. As the announcer said, "He (Shimmell) is going to take a dirt nap".
Video of KO is on ESPN.
Thanks Croesus I and all,
Lot overdue thanks to all who thanked me for attending Bruce's funeral. Once again, know you all would have done the same if you lived near. Keep Bruce in your memories and keep his wife in your prayers.
Bruce Thompson Memorial/Celebration of Life Service
Karen Thompson asked that I post about the service and once again pass on her thanks to all who sent cards, posted all the kind words, etc., so here goes.
My wife and I attended the church service and dinner for Bruce
this past Saturday. Both were a "full house". Honor Guard presented the colors, played taps, and presented Karen with Old Glory. Veterans, firemen and paramedics were represented.
The preacher asked people to speak about Bruce. After a short pause
and no one rising, decided to break the ice. Said I was representing
hundreds (Karen interjected 500)from a BB that Bruce started and moderated. Said I'd known him for 12+ years (both are Charter IHub members) but only met him for the first time eight days prior to his passing. Gave a briefing how he unselfishly helped others and loved building computers. Not sure many knew his BB existed.
Bruce was a master diver, excellent spear fisherman and loved boating. He met Karen about 6 years ago at the "trash dump" and would have been married 5 years in June. At first he attended church (sometimes in uniform after work) just to be with Karen, not for spiritual enrichment. As time went on, Bruce must have been paying attention to what being preached and began studying the Bible and was baptized. Learning and attendance became a priority, not just because Karen was there. He even attended church with a hardhat after surgery. The 25th Psalm (not a misprint, not the 23rd) was his favorite.
The dinner catered by friends/relatives was outstanding. But, more
importantly, we sat with some of his neighbors for questioning. We had many laughs.
Bruce and Karen worked in Ft. Meyers prior to relocating. They both worked in the home industry (think mortgages and RE) a mile apart from each other, but never met while there. Bruce moved to take care of his mother due to the death of his sister in a horse riding accident. Karen moved to assist her daughter in child rearing. Quite a coincident they meet in a small town in
northern Fl.
While Bruce was single the neighbors routinely got together for meals. They said Bruce was a "little rough around the edges". Then, one day Bruce met Karen at the dump and he was smitten. He took Karen to dinner on a Thursday. The following Monday the neighbors had to have a meal so Bruce could "present" Karen (and get their approval). Needless to say, they loved her (and with good reason, my words), and stated she was the best thing that ever happened to Bruce. He was a changed man. He also fixed their computer problems for food.
Well, enough rambling from this long time lurker. Hope you find this interesting. We are all better people for having known Bruce, if only thru "Dream Machine". Oh, one last thing. Bruce and Karen were a "match made in heaven".
Thanks, Been visiting the FB page daily waiting for service details.
Thank you and the many others for your kinds words for my visit to the now deceased Bruce. Know many of you if you lived closer to him would have done the same.
Thanks for the very sad update on Bruce. He was super nice guy (with a wonderful wife)and will be missed. As a former Vietnam Vet as Bruce was I'll make every attempt to attend his military burial at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushell,Fl. on all our behalf.

Visited Bruce Thompson and his lovely and devoted wife, Karen, this afternoon(live about 50 miles from the VA). Brought them a card and flowers noting they were from all his IHUB computer BB friends, hope no one minds. Told both they have been in our thoughts and prayers for a long time.
Afraid the end is near as Bruce is no longer talking or taking any nourishment other then droplets of water. Karen said he has dramatically declined this week and today has been very trying as he needs restraining at times even thought he cannot stand.
She thinks he can hear and understand, but not sure. He did smile a little when I told him I was from and represented all his friends from IHUB, even asked him is he was ready to build me a computer.
Both Bruce and Karen have a very strong faith and their church members have helped them immensely. Despite everything Bruce has went through for over a year last week was the first time he missed the weekly church service. What a testament to his faith.
Karen thanks us all for the cards and prayers. Karen is a wonderful woman and wife to Bruce. Unfortunately, their time together isn't what was anticipated. Keep them both in your prayers.

Good to hear from you. You sound much better albeit long way to go. Hope you get in the program and fully recover.
Not a good idea, Lee. You could cause a spark and blow up your home. Sorry, couldn't resist, lol.
Thanks, Gent. Been long time lurker. Not much to add but a lot to learn.
Lee, not sure what future indices you're looking at but I show the S&P contract for Sep down about 21.5 at the time of your posting.
Fantastic to hear from you. Your health is the most important thing at this time so don't worry about computer advise or computer builds.
Picking up card and sending it today.
Keep the faith and in our prayers for a full recovery.
You'll remain in my prayers for a full recovery.
Both you and your family will be in thoughts and prayers.
Same to you and all your loved ones
You're a real treasure for all of us technically challenged.
Lucky Strike Means Fine Tabacco.
Was just kidding. It's a tad cold in Minot now but a nice town with great people. Matter of fact, just a little south of you here in Dunnellon a couple of the HS football players got scholarships and are playing for a college in Minot.
Tell him to watch out for the underground Nukes!
Lived in ND for 10 yrs many years ago. My wife is from ND, wed on Mar 29th, 1969 in Fargo, temp -32, windchill near -100 coupled with a blizzard.
What did he do wrong?
Just got home from playing a round and hit it too many times, but that's OK. Still have 10 or so new Nolan Ryan posters in tubes my son bought in his youth, but no cards.
How about Charles? Send me the Ryan cards.
