Keep your eyes on NCTI...
Has a history of explosive runs
sounds good titan_fan...
But for me to personally weight activity as having significance we'll need to see volume of around 1.5 million or more for the day.
Shouldn't you underline the risk factors here?
ATNG is getting an awful lot of attention...which is great for shareholders. But for those buying it also likely means increased competition for shares and in all likelihood a higher cost of acquisition than might be the case if things were quieter.
I notice 'strategic alliances' and 'loi' in the news here. Due Dilligence x 2 is in order imo. Not to say it won't go up from here, but in terms of a longer term investment in my opinion a good hard look would be wise.
ENGY No PR but subsid seems active:
From:
http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/biz/contaa/BIDSTATS/bidstatu.txt
Near the bottom of the page:
"JULY 2, 2003

NUMBER OF ADDENDA: 4
CONTRACT NO. 6620
APPARENT LOW BIDDER: SCARSELLA BROS., INC. $23,915,737.76 AWARDED 7/8/03
SUBCONTRACTORS LISTED WORK TO BE PERFORMED
COLVICO, INC. ELECTRICAL WORK"
Don't know if that work is started, finished, or in progress...but hard to know these things when the company is uncommunicative. Colvico Inc is a wholy ownded subsiduary as per ENGY's latest 10QSB:
http://biz.yahoo.com/e/031120/engy.ob10qsb.html
Sure makes for interesting speculation about the trading in ENGY back in early July during the time of this contract being awarded though imo.
ENGY hardly dead IMO...
But a concerted effort afoot imo to keep buyers out...If you want to buy low you need others who are willing to sell low. No hype, no touting...(well not anymore, some were woo hooing when it was much higher).
Do your own DD and best of luck.
jmhollen...
Just doing some reading on silconinvestor's board...are you the same jmhollen there as here? Just curious
gord
I tried calling BTW...
I dialed 509-536-1875 which I got from this sight:
http://www.northwestlinejatc.org/contractors.php
Colvico, Inc. beta.colvico.com
P.O. Box 2682 Ph: 509-536-1875
A woman answered the phone and I don't thing English was her 1st language. I asked if I'd reached Colvico and she said no???
Any suggestions of an alternate # I can try tomorrow?
I think your 'Momma' was a smart woman...
For those technically inclined a move in price on heavy volume is more indicative than a move on light volume.
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.web?c=ENGY,uu[l,a]dallyiay[db][pb50!b200][vc60][iUg]&pref=....
Check out the OBV (On Balance Volume) chart. In an overall and obvious uptrend since Oct. 16th when I show ENGY closing at .0047 cents. From October 17 to December 1 inclusive my numbers show a total of almost 68,000,000 shares trading hands.
I estimate that volume to represent approximately $500,000 in actual dollars. Why is there buy side interest in ENGY? I don't know, but if you ask me it isn't because of any promotion, hype or a glowing fundamental picture.
Thanks wrzIII I'd already seen it...
At smallcapcenter, but thanks for adding to the dicsussion. Here's the link:
http://www.stockhouse.ca/news/news.asp?newsid=1883747&tick=
All you really need to know is in the 1st sentence in my opinion.
"CashFlowNews.com reports that Free Cash Flow for Enviro-Energy Corporation (OTC:ENGY) for its twelve months ended June 30, 2003 was a negative $(348,309), compared with a positive Free Cash Flow of $5,094,218 for the comparable year earlier twelve months."
That apparently came out on September 03, 2003. I would assume that those sufficiently worried about their invesment in ENGY would have read it and possibly reacted. I show volume of only 451,300 on September 3rd and only 35,200 the following day.
That's the problem I have with fundamental analysis as a gauge for those looking to buy low. I doubt I'll ever find any stock trading at or near its low that has rosy fundamentals.
The risk of course is that ENGY won't turn around...a risk I'm willing to take. If it doesn't turn around, well I and any others who have been buying...too bad so sad.
The Volume Picture...
On November 11 I show the PPS closing at .009 and staying there both on the 12th and 13th.
Then on November 14th I show the PPS closing at .01 on volume of
8,606,500 shares. Unless I missed a PR the only news out that day was that the 10QSB would be late. Now I don't know about anyone else, but I would guess that most investors would be worried. I'd go so far as to suggest that many were likely fearful enough to be motivated into selling their shares.
Now for some reason there was enough interest on the buy side of the equation to not only keep the PPS from plumetting, enough to actually push it up a tenth of a cent.
The following trading day, November 17th actually saw the PPS climb even higher to a close of .012 according to my numbers on volume of 3,693,936 shares. Again, unless I missed it there was no news.
In total that's 2 days with an increasing share price on volume of 12,300,436 shares, or to put it in $$$$ terms I estimate over $100,000.00
The next 3 days (Nov. 18-20 inclusive) saw the PPS decline back down to .008 on volumes of 2,364,045 and 1,648,600 and 1,502,200 respectively. That's a total of 5,514,845 shares associated with negative price movement.
The measure I'm using is OBV or on balance volume, and in my opinion the picture looks amazing. I wouldn't be nearly as optimistic about ENGY's prospects if these numbers were occuring in tandem with alot of bullish PRs and some type of promotion.
But with no PRs, no promotion, late financials...and a cloudy (at best) fundamental picture I consider it at least possible that ENGY is undergoing 'smart money accumulation'.
I think its highly probable that if the volumes stay low as they have been (the past 5 sessions according to my numbers) that ENGY could very well trade sideways down.
Any who wish to discuss this further I welcome the dialogue. Please understand that my opinions are based primarily on the technical picture in general, and on price volume movement in particular. If you wish to discuss fundamentals, well personally I find fundamentals to be of little value when looking to buy at or near the lows...and I'd suggest directing fundamental questions to someone more inclined to that type of analysis.
Low volume days can be good for buying...
with high volume days being good for selling in my opinion.
Any thoughts on Trby...
Much ado about nothing or is there something there?
Quiet board...
Anyone still around?
ATNG Gets hotstockchat.com mention
got it in my email, I assume its a former sub. Congrats to those who bought it when it was.
don't see anything wrzIII...
Can you post a link or something? All I ses is a couple CRG releases that make reference to ENGY after that big volume surge here oct. 20/21
Hopefully we'll get some bad news...
Whether its a new low, late financials...the web site being inaccessible, whatever. It hasn't seemed to hurt the PPS, and without it volumes seem low as I guess shareholders are otherwise content to sit back and hold.
titan_fan...
The wild card here from where I sit is funding...whether it comes from Colvico or elsewhere. With it I can certainly envision ENGY once again catching the fancy of investors, without it, ugh.
I like the technical picture here...sideways down when volumes are light and up when volume is heavy. Despite no discerable reason for buying there has been buying going on these past few months.
I assume that end of the business is suspended...
And from my reading of the most recent 10QSB it seems to me that Colvico's success or failure will go a long way to determining if they're able to continue that end of the business.
If Colvico has major or significant contract wins I consider that to be of huge import as it is a wholy owned subsid...at the end of the day $$$ are $$$ regardless of their source in my opinion.
Why wrzIII???
I'm most interested in knowing how well Colvico is doing and by proxy Enviro Energy. I'm not going to disturb a customer, either current or past...I assume that farm is not part of a publicly traded company. Besides, I'm assuming that side of the business has been suspended as per the most recent 10QSB.
'DCschmoeka' Re ENGY, appreciate the analysis:
Your observation re No PRs being 'bad investor relations'...
If indeed "The stock has been under accumulation for almost the past 2 months, on rising volume" as you postulate...
I would assume that those who have been accumulating are likely grateful. Bullish PRs would have probably resulted in more competition for any shares being sold. The notification that the quaterly would be late and their web site being no longer available among other things...my assumption is that probably heightened the FUD factor for existing shareholders.
Regardless, as you see in the chart...it appears there has been ample buy side interest to take up the supply while not having much negative impact on the PPS...particulary when volumes are high.
I have read the board description, that's why I included the 200 and 32 MAs in the chart I linked. FWIW I'm something of a devotee of Joseph Granville's theories, which means I consider TA to be most reliable when a stock isn't being promoted or the subject of a lot of news.
As to this being a trade or a long term hold...I'm not married to it, but so long as its treating me well I won't ditch it.
I'm enjoying I-Hub, its one place I've found where I can discuss ENGY's merits without having to deal with bashers...well almost.
hippie...it wouldn't be a hit
Of course that depends what happens to the price in the near term...but whenever volume enters into the equation it invariably trades higher. Look at the chart, an increase in volume hasn't hurt this stock despite late financials, no promotion or PRs and what appears a totally unresponsive company by and large, heck they don't even have a web site right now.
I can see why people have been selling, but to buy low you do need people willing to sell low.
Why so bearish, any reasons?
ENGY: Appreciate Any Thoughts....
If you haven't ever heard of it I wouldn't be surprised, I don't think they've put a PR out in over a year.
I am a current shareholder so view my comments in that light. Here's a chart (adjust it as you wish):
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.web?c=ENGY,uu[m,a]dallyiay[dc][pb32!b50][vc60]&pref=G
They have a wholly owned subsiduary company that appears to have a part in at least one decent sized contract awarded back in July but no PR was released.
http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/biz/contaa/BIDSTATS/bidstatu.txt
Near the bottom, dated July 2, 2003
Apparently there may be an effort afoot to rescind the purchase of Colvico by the company. If anyone could shed any light on what would be involved I'd appreciate it. If memory serves Colvico was purchased for 16 million which was facilitated through preferred stock.
Colvico Mention:
http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/regions/Eastern/BidInformation.cfm
"BID OPENING July 17, 2003

DEPARTMENT ESTMATE: $201,897.00
NUMBER OF BIDDERS: 3
Apparent low bidder: Colvico, Inc. $253,443.40
Apparent 2nd low: Aztech Electric, Inc. $281,514.99
Apparent 3rd low: Power City Electric, Inc. $341,807.13"
As far as I'm aware Colvico is a wholly owned subsidubary of Enviro Energy as per their most recent 10QSB available at yahoo finance:
"Revenues from the company were generated primarily from Colvico, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary for both periods"
http://biz.yahoo.com/e/031120/engy.ob10qsb.html
I don't know why there weren't any PRs about contract wins back in July, and I don't know if the monies reflected have already been earned and reported in the MRQ. Anyone with greater insight is welcome to comment.
Ya Still there jmhollen?
Just curious...If you are still around I was wondering if you could share any thoughts you have on the proposed recission of the sale agreement of Colvico? What's involved?
I haven't seen any filings pertaining to Colvico trying to rescind the sale agreement, except a mention in July 18's 8K.
Appreciate whatever you wish to contribute, and any thoughts on that contract I posted about apparently awarded on July 8th.
TIA
Gord
jmhollen I'm Gonna Call Colvico...
I've found the contact number on a few sites on the internet. Given your knowledge of the company I was going to ask you who might be the best person to speak with. I figure I'll ask to speak with Mr. Colvin himself. Here's a few of the questions I'm intending to ask...if you would like to add any please let me know:
-When is the web site going to be back up, (if at all)?
-is the beta.colvico.com site I found on a google search related to Colvico Inc? If so, when will it be available?
-Is the contract information I found from early July of any significance? If yes, why wasn't a PR released?
-Is Enviro Energy planning on being more responsive to investors in the future?
Anyone else with suggestions for questions....pls post
Gord
bwm try this...
http://dynamic.nasdaq.com/dynamic/afterhourma.stm
No subs on it though of course.
I'm not married to ENGY...
If it does as I am expecting, and starts attracting some positive attention, then I'm assuming I'll be able to move on. When/If that happens I'll be looking around.
Here's what I look for:
-No news, promotion, or hype (bad news is good news)
-A bullish chart in my opinion
-Bashing at RB
-Decent Volume
If you know of any that fit that metric please let me know
Here's one list

ATNG Getting alot of attention: (link)
http://www.otcbb.com/images/OTCBulletinBoardReg.jpg
I doubt there are many OTC investors/traders who haven't yet heard of it.
Mr. Ed...OT a question...
Do you post at RB as arabianfrancine? That ID at one time was claiming you were one and the same....
Probably a good day to be buying...
Regardless (irregardless for the grammar police) of what anyone is looking at I doubt there'll be much activity. Those looking to sell...ouch, hard to find buyers when everyone is at the mall.
If You're Doing DD on ENGY...
I suggest you do a search of Colvico Inc. a wholly owned subsid.
Something Else I came Across:
http://beta.colvico.com/
I assume 'beta' refers to the fact that this is a test site. I was searching Colvico and came across it, but I can't access it. Any suggestions as to a phone # or perhaps a working email address for contacting the company?
Doing google searches is kinda fun...but I'd just as soon get information straight from the source.
-Why is the web site down?
-When will it be back up?
-Is the contract I came across surfing the net of a significant nature...
-Is the beta.colvico site related to Colvico Inc.
Just stuff like that.
I am in no way trying to tout this...
And for the very simple reason that I don't know if this is of any significance or not. Even though most who post here regularily will know which stock I'm referring to I won't post the symbol. If I did want to tout it I'd be screaming this is huge, and bolding it with italics and underlines.
I am inclined to agree with your assessment, that it probably isn't materially important enough to warrant disclosing.
The trading in the stock of this subsiduary's parent during this time frame does give me pause for thought however.
Here is a snap shot which comprises the trading during the period prior/during/after the Dates July 2/03 - July 8/03 from a spread sheet I maintin. I don't warrant the 100% accuracy of these numbers and encrouage any to verify them.

jmhollen...
I'm trying to get some answers to some questions on Colvico...I've been unsuccessful in attempts to contact the company itself. Can you suggest a course of action?
I've posed them in a somewhat abstract form on the subs board as I don't wish to be accused of touting. I'll look back later this evening to see if you have any thoughts on the matter.
This is the part I'm looking at:
"JULY 2, 2003

NLion another question:
If the information is already publicly available...what then?
I'm sorry for not being more specific but I take offense when accused of 'touting'. I have come across something in a stock I own, but to be perfectly honest I'm not 100% certain of what I'm looking at here. At the same time I'm trying to gain a better understanding of it.
I'm looking at this web page:

Can you or anyone else take a look near the bottom of the page at the item headed and tell me what it means?:

An Open Question...
If a wholly owned subsiduary company of a publicly traded company won a significant contract or had a significant development...would the public company be required to dislose as per rule FD?
