Good analogy. The first time I have seen it explained this way.
This is similar to what is happening with WSGI. The start of the squeeze started Friday and expect continuation tomorrow and Tuesday (shareholder meeting day).
At worst there shouldn't be the same selling pressure that loomed before La Jolla was sued.
Check out WSGI for continuation off bottom bounce. Shareholder meeting Tuesday and lots of volume off Friday's news.
I am interested as to his analysis of expected price movement based on offensive attack before a new financing arrangement was announced...especially since additional financing is imminent for replacing La Jolla.
One would think that a rise in stock price should be warranted back to near .045 where La Jolla funding began before they started to short. The new funding will likely be on a higher price than Friday's close...probably somewhere between the .045 La Jolla financing and .024 it is currently trading.
Either way more shares are expected to change hands in the near future, which will start a new PR story and price manipulation.
To add to it, Tuesday is shareholder meeting...
Chart wise, WSGI is bottom bouncing and has a lot of buying accumulation...take a look at CMF. RSI crossed 50 last week, ADX looks like strong continuation will continue, and volume needs to continue to stay strong. I think the .03's and .035's will be tested next week. If broken, I see this up into the .04's in short order.
This week cold be real interesting.
AMBS popping off bottom 2 week channel. Could be a nice channel play or breakout if channel is broken. Upper resistance .044 and lower bounced off channel for a third time yesterday.
LPTH - broke out past $1.45 resistance line yesterday and again today with a lot of volume. Spiked in morning rush with slight pullback before a multi-day run occurs to over $2.00
Look for a strong move the next couple days if this holds in the 1.50's or above. Daily is oversold at the moment.
LPTH is in breakout past upper resistance with excellent volume the last two days. Looking for multi day run up past $2.
Warp, seems to me that it would be in the best interest of the larger pharma to not allow such a PR. Theoretically, such a PR would increase the stock and therefore, increase the valuation of the company. If it is their interest to buy out a company wouldn't they want it as cheap as possible?
I agree. I am hearing a well though plan. Appears to be no fluff or sugar coating. This is a very complex journey that will be taking place.
Everyone needs to realize this is not an overnight production process into the market like a widget may be.
Adding several regional partnerships!
WSGI news out today! They sold 6 LTAS aerostats and launching systems to BAE Systems for use by the Army Space and Missile Defense Command.
This company is quietly staying under the radar of traders and trading at only $.03. Once traders catch on this thing will pop. There is a large amount of the float tied up by longs.
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 04/16/13 -- World Surveillance Group Inc. (OTCQB: WSGI), a developer of lighter-than-air aerostats and unmanned aerial systems, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Lighter Than Air Systems Corp. ("LTAS"), has provided the initial trailer-mounted aerostat launcher system and six aerostats to BAE Systems to support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command ("SMDC"). The LTAS self contained, compact, trailer-mounted aerostat launcher system and aerostats have been delivered and are undergoing testing and evaluation for various mission profiles to support and enhance critical communications for the Army. Utilizing the LTAS aerostats, the SMDC is able to extend encrypted communications up to approximately 20 miles using standard battlefield radios. LTAS expects to deliver the second aerostat launcher system to BAE Systems in the second quarter 2013.
The LTAS aerostat launcher systems are custom designed, engineered and manufactured to provide rapid communications and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance ("ISR") capabilities for government and commercial applications. The LTAS aerostat launcher systems are proprietary, in-house designed, turn-key systems that are self contained and mounted to a compact trailer for use with various military vehicles. The LTAS aerostat systems include fixed and remote controls, custom software and electronics, and self contained helium storage with rapid inflation and deflation systems for simplified user operation.
The LTAS aerostat launcher systems are engineered to provide significant benefits over competing systems, including reduced maintenance and overall operation costs, smaller footprint for operations, reduced operators required to manage the aerostat, decreased time for inflation/deflation, faster launch and recovery, and a simplified process.
WSGI President and CEO, Glenn D. Estrella, stated, "We are excited by this opportunity to provide our systems and aerostats to customers who can witness their effectiveness at providing critical communications solutions to support the Army. We are committed to continually improving our products to meet the stated needs of our customers so as to deliver proven turn-key solutions that provide the customer's desired results. We intend to continue to execute on our business plan as we pursue a leadership position in the compact, tactical aerostat market."

IJO, I agree these may not be considered the BiB by name; however, each BiB is customized to the specific needs of the client. Correct? The BiB by function appears to provide similar performance features as the LTAS aerostat. Although, the function of each is slightly different.
Like your BiB Mark I vs. BiB Mark II analogy, each is still a BiB. I think it was you who reported earlier that our BiB envelope was originally from LTAS. The BiB trailer also appears to have a lot of similar features as the LTAS aerostat. After a few modifications to improve it to client specs we had BiB Mark I, and then soon later BiB Mark II. This LTAS aerostat was not identified in this PR as the LTAS 50, LTAS 100, LTAS 200, LTAS 300, or a completely customized hybrid.
One thing that is certain is that each customer will have a different need. I think labeling each within a certain category of BiB Mark I, BiB Mark II, LTAS 50, LTAS 100, LTAS 200, or LTAS 300 may be difficult to track unless it is explicitly expressed to us.

According to the 1-31 PR I want to direct your attention to one sentence:
"The financing commitments will be realized by Amarantus under the note in six separate tranches of $200,000 to $250,000, subject to certain milestone achievements."
Whatever these milestones are, they must have been reached.
According to the 8-k on 2-5-13 it states that payments will be made between $200,000 and $250,000 every two weeks.
Today's 8-k states that we have finished drawing on this agreement. I think this means the news/results expected at the time of origination of this deal has been fully executed as expressed.
I also think that the May date for conversion combined with the $0.10 conversion amount is what we should keep an eye out regarding this financing.
My apologies for not including the citations on the other PR's, as I am passing time and using my phone for this response.
Our BiB was likely delivered to Fort Benning as well:
STMPAS has been tested by GTRI
and the Army at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, and will fly in the Aerostat Limited Objective Experiment
(LOE) at Fort Benning, Georgia in May 2012.
http://www.carolinaunmanned.com/content/delivery-small-tactical-multi-payload-aerostat-system-stmpas
Seems like these experiments often happen at Fort Benning:
Limited Objective Experiments
Experimenters conduct limited objective experiments to examine specific characteristics that may pertain to a piece of equipment; new Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs); emerging concepts and doctrine; or revised organizational structure.
Using nearby ranges at Fort Benning, Omega can execute limited operational scenarios focused on gathering quantitative and qualitative data analysts use to answer questions about those characteristics. Our experimenters bring military subject matter and MANPRINT expertise, psychology, and operations research knowledge to each and every experiment.
These experiments encompass a broad range of subjects, including the Lightweight Thermal Weapon Sight (LTWS). Prior to its formal Army evaluation, we conducted a limited objective experiment on the LTWS to document its durability.
http://www.omegatraining.com/html/test_eval_loe.html
Do you know if these 6 were ever ordered and then delivered? I am not finding anything that they have been.
It would be nice to know if our BiB unveiling caused a halt in that order. If so, would there be a contract/funding source for us to access for these 6 CUV undelivered aerostats?
Can someone look up this contract to see what was paid for their LAS model? It appears larger (trailer at least) and less versatile, but I have a hunch it cost more than ours.
Check out these photos:
I think it is clear how much easier our system is to launch compared to this product. Also, pay attention to the size of the trailer.
http://www.carolinaunmanned.com/content/35m3-testing-0
Is the horseshoe shaped inflatable for launching...anyone know? If so, this system needs much more space for launching than the small trailer we require. Ours is launched from atop the trailer, not placed on the ground, inflated and then launched.
I like our technology even more after seeing the competition.
IJO,
Are these six where you got your spiral estimate from? See bold below:
The REF mission is to rapidly increase mission capability while reducing risk to Soldiers and others by
equipping operational commanders with off-the-shelf (government or commercial) solutions or near-term
developmental items that can be researched, developed and acquired quickly.
The STMPAS consists of several optional ISR payloads attached under a small specially designed
tethered blimp, called a Helikite, and a trailer Carrier that stores the Helikite and the required winch,
sensors and helium tanks. The STMPAS blimp can fly at 1000 feet for low cost, long term coverage for
24 hours a day for a week or more without maintenance or downtime. It operates for weeks at a time at a
fraction of the cost of comparable aircraft or Unmanned Air Vehicles. STMPAS has been tested by GTRI
and the Army at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, and will fly in the Aerostat Limited Objective Experiment
(LOE) at Fort Benning, Georgia in May 2012. The REF is procuring six more STMPAS for deployment
to Afghanistan for further operational evaluation.
BareBaxBo, that is essentially what I was asking as well. To me, I think that change orders merit additional costs. If not, it better lead to more orders ASAP :)
"The purchase price paid by WSGI for LTAS consists of: $250,000 in cash, payable 30 days after the closing of the acquisition, 25,000,000 shares of the Company’s common stock, and an earn-out equal to varying percentages of gross revenues based on the level of revenue from contracts with an identified group of potential customers." http://www.uasvision.com/2013/04/03/world-surveillance-group-acquires-lighter-than-air-systems/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=90da0fce45-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN
Is it likely that a good portion of this payment will come from the revenues derived from payment when the BiB is delivered? Therefore, less financing may be needed to make this acquisition.
It is also clear that the trailer is different from the original demo pics!
The new pics on facebook are even more exciting knowing that this was likely at the initial delivery of the BiB!
I like the way it looks. Appears to be at least 9 military personnel being trained during this delivery. Knowing we have two BiB's for delivery that would be a team of 4 per BiB. I wonder if this is consistent with delivery/training of new systems?

Not too much different, but nice to see ISR listed.
I am not astute with military procurement and hope this reflect a "Table of Equipment" as you elude. I have no problem with Procure and Refine. Does refinement typically involve additional revenue from the initial purchase contract?
Indeed. Everything is beginning to make more sense. Possibly more last minute refinements or possibly wrap up the purchase of LTAS before delivery of first BiB. File financials early on off market day to make room for LTAS so it is not overshadowed by financials.
Now we have early in month delivery of first Bib and an even stronger partner with LTAS Hess team to be at the ground up for delivery and refinement.
Great all around!
Welcome to the board Smallblock! I am a long time holder like many here, and a long time stalker as well.
You will find a lot of great people here with vast knowledge in all walks of life. This board is great for DD and open thought. I suggest you participate at whatever level you can. I am just beginning the participation part ;)
Best of luck to you and all WSGI holders!
WSGI President and CEO, Glenn D. Estrella, stated, "We are excited about the delivery and acceptance of the first Blimp in a Box aerostat system by the Army pursuant to our contract. The demonstration, testing and operation with the Army of the first delivered BiB provided us with valuable knowledge in terms of ways to continue to improve our BiB tactical aerostat system. With our recently completed acquisition of LTAS, we are now able to swiftly utilize our combined resources to implement the Army's requested modifications before the delivery of the second BiB system to our customer."
In coordination with the DoD, delivery, installation and on-site training for the second BiB system will commence in April 2013 and will include improvements, spares and modifications following several Army requested modifications of the system.
NEWS!!!
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 04/03/13 -- World Surveillance Group Inc. (OTCQB: WSGI), a developer of lighter-than-air aerostats and unmanned aerial systems ("UAS"), today announced that, with the support of wholly owned subsidiary Lighter Than Air Systems Corp. ("LTAS"), the operational team has delivered the initial Blimp in a Box™ ("BiB") aerostat system to the Department of Defense ("DoD"). The delivery included not only demonstration and testing of the aerostat system but also multiple training sessions for soldiers on the base in preparation for future military exercises. Formal DoD acceptance of the first BiB system was issued following completion of the testing, the initial round of training and an inventory accounting.
WSGI's and LTAS' operations occurred in cooperation with WSGI's wholly owned subsidiary Global Telesat Corp. who was awarded the contract from the DoD for a set of BiB systems in January 2013. The contract award includes on-location support for technical fact gathering, installation and training for the BiB systems. In coordination with the DoD, delivery, installation and on-site training for the second BiB system will commence in April 2013 and will include improvements, spares and modifications following several Army requested modifications of the system.
The BiB systems are intended to provide semi-persistent, mobile intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance ("ISR") at the platoon level. The BiB aerostat system is designed to provide real-time day/night high definition footage for ISR, detection of hostile activity, improvised explosive devices, border security and other governmental and civilian uses.
WSGI President and CEO, Glenn D. Estrella, stated, "We are excited about the delivery and acceptance of the first Blimp in a Box aerostat system by the Army pursuant to our contract. I appreciate your response. Even if the corporate structure would not allow us the opportunity to have direct credit toward profit of their per-established sales and pipeline it would still be booked as income through WSGI, correct? Either way, curiosity still lingers to know LTAS' rough revenue. Also, the potential revenues it takes to afford 6 employees of this kind.
My reading of this acquisition thus far, tends to account this as a strategic one indeed. I don't know much about LTAS and the work of Kevin other than what I have read since yesterday, but my concerns lie in the additional costs. Without having a steady revenue stream from LTAS it becomes an additional liability to offset until sales/production kicks in. A cash balance less than $50k will not support much salary if the employees don't agree to stock compensation. Some revenues need derived immediately from this acquisition, imo.
Long term I think it is a very strategically wise purchase. Any time you can buy a competitor or integrate a supplier profitability risk is reduced. Luckily for us, it happens to be both in a very thin market, respectively.
I do recall your early posts about building from the ground up and initially thought you were crazy, but quickly had conviction. I too am excite about the mast surveillance business and will greatly enhance my enthusiasm once I see revenue!
IJO,
You probably know most about the LTAS operations out of everyone here. My questions pertains to revenue of LTAS.
Knowing now that the Hess duo has multiple company's to draw income from, what percentage of revenue do you think LTAS derived from their portfolio of enterprises? What would you estimate the revenue to be from LTAS alone?
Furthermore, do you think LTAS is operable to be self sufficient in supporting the labor of 6 employees? If so, what would be the income average of that type of employee? How much revenue is generated from R&D/Engineering and how much is generated in sales of products?
I realize this may be much to ask; however, I am trying to get an idea of what type of revenue stream we purchased.
Thanks in advance!

Lowtrade, AMBS just announced major increase in issuable shares as they merged and incorporated into Nevada rather Delaware. Any thoughts on dark side play for a company such as AMBS issues an additional 117,790,239 shares? I know we will know more when 10k is filed, but at this point it could be two weeks before the filing.
Potential thoughts:
1. Joint Venture
2. Dilution - to it's purist form (not likely)
3. Acquisition
4. Funny Money
5. ????
Major transfer of funding through stock rather loan financing is about to occur...
From 8-k:
A. Amarantus Delaware was incorporated in 2008 as Jumpkicks, Inc., changed its name to Amarantus Biosciences, Inc. in June 2011, and changed its name to Amarantus Bioscience, Inc. on 27 November 2012. It was always the recycler and launch/storage box that were unique to BiB. The envelope was plain Jane from the start. The ability to automate launch and recycle helium for other's envelopes is an advantage IMO. These aerostats are already in the TOE for the Army and Navy. There are probably existing contracts for WSGI to get follow-on funding through. Always easier IMO.
Looks to me though there are some challenges to getting this curtain aerostat up as compared to our BiB envelope although we have never seen it launched. Note the extra man crawling on the trailer and the swing out pullies and guide rails at the top. A key point is that Kevin Hess is an experienced and established LTA manufacturer. And we have things that can help him--true synergies IMO.
Go to Sandy Allsopp's Helikite web site and look at his "launching pad"--he has trouble with the launch logistics that BiBox solves. And he already sells to the UK MoD and I think has sold five demos to the US Army. This is an expansion of sales opportunities and a possible way to team with potential competitors IMO. Making competitors into partners/customers isn't smart--it is genius IMO.
This is getting complex and I fear I am becoming a talking geek. IMO from the time I showed up here, our WSGI townsfolk were thinking too simplistically about WSGI opportunities--making and selling our own exclusive products. Maybe it is a natural mindset for investor boards. I have always seen the possibilities as more complex and elegant. Microsoft subsumes competition--it is a strength and not a weakness IMO. But complexity can be frustrating. Wish I could explain this better, IndyBlue. But I sincerely believe it is good--very good. Thanks for your patience with me, the other Indy.

Do you expect this acquisition to cut down on external R&D cost with our business partners at Eastcor?
Seems to me like LTAS has a lot of knowledge that is similar to the service provided by Eastcor.
