It was always the recycler and launch/storage box that were unique to BiB. The envelope was plain Jane from the start. The ability to automate launch and recycle helium for other's envelopes is an advantage IMO. These aerostats are already in the TOE for the Army and Navy. There are probably existing contracts for WSGI to get follow-on funding through. Always easier IMO.

Looks to me though there are some challenges to getting this curtain aerostat up as compared to our BiB envelope although we have never seen it launched. Note the extra man crawling on the trailer and the swing out pullies and guide rails at the top. A key point is that Kevin Hess is an experienced and established LTA manufacturer. And we have things that can help him--true synergies IMO.

Go to Sandy Allsopp's Helikite web site and look at his "launching pad"--he has trouble with the launch logistics that BiBox solves. And he already sells to the UK MoD and I think has sold five demos to the US Army. This is an expansion of sales opportunities and a possible way to team with potential competitors IMO. Making competitors into partners/customers isn't smart--it is genius IMO.

This is getting complex and I fear I am becoming a talking geek. IMO from the time I showed up here, our WSGI townsfolk were thinking too simplistically about WSGI opportunities--making and selling our own exclusive products. Maybe it is a natural mindset for investor boards. I have always seen the possibilities as more complex and elegant. Microsoft subsumes competition--it is a strength and not a weakness IMO. But complexity can be frustrating. Wish I could explain this better, IndyBlue. But I sincerely believe it is good--very good. Thanks for your patience with me, the other Indy.
