again as I have stated (posted) over the many years I watch this board, how can a company give important info to only those calling and not to each and every stock holder? The info on an important step towards certification could prompt premature buying, or selling if the info doesn't pan out. Any SEC experts out there?
Don't get hasty at these prices. Wait some more and maybe you'll get it at .000001. Load up then. I thought when buying a stock going down you would wait until it hit bottom and then shown some very positive up tick and sustainability. Here we are applauding buying more every time it goes down. Glad this is the only penny stock in my extensive portfolio. Gosh help us all.
There was a time you could have gotten Enron cheaper than that. Again I'll ask how could a company give talking points to any one individual or two without getting the rash of the SEC. Any info given outside corporate folks is required to make public announcements not just to high investors. Anyone believe otherwise?
Great entertainment today filling in waiting for the b-ball game. I have lottery tickets and still waiting for numbers to be drawn. And, now another tease.
I posted a similar position couple months ago. If the test is to determine if the cabin crew gets alerted properly, work as a team, they give proper instructions to the passengers as to their door of exit, get the doors/chutes open, and when a chute doesn't open can they make the proper adjustments to get them to the next appropriate door. If that goes well, my inspector general experience would give them a 'Gold Star' not a 'no pass'. Just my thoughts.
Even whales can't put 20M shares each on the market at one time. Could be dribble, dribble, dribble as in the last two weeks. But it doesn't necessarily mean its them.
I received two insightful private msgs to my question on real event chute failures. Some 37% is known and understood and the industry and supposedly so does the FAA. Which leads me to wonder if that is so how could baltia fail or not pass the mini due to chute failures? The reply would be ALL chutes must deploy to pass. Seems to me to be a quandary, all in a test, and all, some, none in real life. Something else must be going on. with the depressed stock today, someone knows something.
Of the many airline experienced posters, can someone know or get info on, let's say the last real-life mishaps (on the ground obviously) five or more, and how many of their chutes did not open? That would be of great interest to those who feel baltia's failures are the cause of chutes. I have no idea, but at each mishaps news reporting I can't recall reports on non-functional chutes. Thanks.
So again. Next week (for the past 5 weeks) we'll pass the mini and this stock will soar, certification soon after, we'll all be millionaires. Gee, which week? Oh, and 'Baltia, Git er done'. Almost forgot that one. Fifty posts a day of just BS up and down.
Just think folks, if Baltia passes the mini-evac next week we will be proving flights and getting certified real soon.
Where have I heard that before and how often? Wake me up when the Rooster is running down JFK's runway. And please don't make me Rip Van Winkle.
There are many actions to take place by the crew even before chute deployment. And in real life if a chute(s) didn't deploy crew action to herd passengers to open doors/chutes would have to take place, and in a test scenario wouldn't that be a pass/fail on how well they performed. There may be something more than just chute failure is all I'm saying.
my concern here if the test failed due only to the chutes not deploying why was baltia failed. if the canister that blows out the chutes didn't activate when they should have there is no way baltia could know that ahead. they can't be tested. they are bought as certified by the vendor. There must be other reasons like not all went well by the crew.
They may get a wink or a nod from the on-site lead, but woe is baltia if they make an announcement before the 'grand poobah' blesses the pass. Geeeeez
For 10years or more I have read insinuations why Baltia can't/won't do PR's on their own. Let's try this. Last night at the completion of whatever the task at hand was the FAA team leader group his/her evaluators, got their inputs, assessed the results and passed it up the chain to whoever the 'blessor' of the results is and can either give Baltia a verbal go-ahead to PR or await the official signed document before PRing. It's government, you do the time-frame.
because it hasn't passed yet.
I'm a positive, not a pumper. Today is Friday, where is the usual 'can't wait for Monday as this stock will soar'.
Seen again that the 'direct flt to st. pete. etc"
When I started flying commercial in late '50s to present, the terms were:
Fly from A to C with no stops was called 'Non Stop Flight'.
Fly from A to B to C without changing Planes was called a 'Direct Flight.
Fly from A to B and change Planes, to C was called a 'One Stop En-route to Destination'. Where B could be multiple stops to C.
Not a big deal unless one is working with an intelligent travel agent and knows the what for.
Baltia is hoping to fly "Non-Stop to St. Petersburg, Russia from JFK/NYC.
Just some trivia to see my post listed like most here.
Wonder how many sets of Ulcers are out there over the price of the stock? Reminder, this is a 'penny stock' of a start up Airline working toward certification. For me, I don't care what the price is now or until certification. Let it go down a cent or up a cent. With certification all those investors you worry about not getting in now will be pushing the whales in the butt for their shares. Need sellers to service buyers. Jeez.
Maybe, just maybe, those comments closed the open door info policy.
Could anyone here contemplate that maybe, just maybe, Baltia is under an FAA or SEC gag order? Or at best their fear of saying something that would bring the wrath of either of those entities.
The LT is probably in the know of much about where the company's process is, but if you read his messages he is very careful on what he says and how he says it for good reason.
Baltia doesn't need to give us a blow by blow of what's going on. We all have the ability to SELL if we don't like it. Some one else will be there to purchase those shares.
It's just the same criticism over and over.
in since '07. will be in forever until I grow or lose my $1. But tomorrow is Friday and one will post "can't wait for Monday, this stock will roll early a.m. Have we heard that before? only the last 10 Friday's. Let's just wait for 'news', not just the bumpers, but the naysayers, too. If I were an FAA guy I wouldn't want to be at the door of a 747 in -30 degrees wind chill in MI. If it takes to get to 40 degree I'll wait.
I bought baltia many years ago at 10 cents. averaged down to .0286. Haven't seen a profit except the short bump a couple months ago to around .035. This will in my opinion make it, if I didn't think so I would have taken a small loss and moved on. But it seems to behave like your definition of a penny stock.
smart to familiarize yourself w/baltia and the certification process. w/penny stocks never invest more than you can afford to lose and don't try to micromanage the certification process in your mind. leads to ulcers. they will or won't become an airline. the month, day, time of day is only speculation and supposition. good luck.
a very disappointing week after the 10th. any thoughts on how much of the overall stock market plunge has impacted blta?
Little concerned about the Rooster at the Air Show. Went from three days 'to Monday to wrap up C-checks', to delay due to parts on order. That Monday is two weeks plus now. No info on what the parts may be; some could require new manufacturing, long detailed remove/replace/re-install and testing on some parts, and just too long on back-order (go to the boneyard in the desert). Drove the road from Oscoda along the Huron to past Willow Run 16 round trips in my last year in the USAF. Too narrow to tow the Rooster to the Show. Can it get there? That's the big PR for Baltia.
I haven't gotten an updated post since 2/6/13. Is the board dead? Thanks, Pete
Short week is that the FAA like many other gov't employees take annual leave when a holiday falls during a week. four week-end days, plus a paid holiday, plus 4 charged leave days gives them 9 days in a row off. result: short staffs everywhere.
Lt. One of your 'group' pulled out? What does that say about your 'possitive' position on Baltia? He didn't buy your position? If not that, please elaborate on his thinking if you can. And he wanted to make '$300.00 to invest elsewhere is not making it. Please elaborate on your buying and/or selling the last two months. Both please. Only right, since so many of us lean on every of your spoken words. Your truly, Major Pete. Yes, sir.
I'm just a little guy here. Only have 150,000 shares at .o4. My big investment company shakes their heads I'm in this thing. So I have a little over $7K at stake. But I have negative on some for more than that amount that they thought was great investments. I'm in to make money or lose that amount. What I look to read here is a REAL bit of info to let me think of some riches in my "Roth IRA". I tried to do the "ignore" but apparently it doesn't work. I'm just a TSGT/Major with 28 years in the USAF trying to make a buck without the BS. Cheers.
it was wondered if Pilot hiring could impact Baltia's financial position if this drags on much longer. most likely the hire letters contain a 'contingency clause' based on faa approval. If the pilots are super good they may accept other employment during the wait and baltia has the job of re-hiring. if they aren't super good, than the board has something else to worry about. i learned a long time ago, only worry about things you can control. the only thing we can control as investors are: stand pat, buy, or sell. lol.
Gosh. wouldn't it be great if we could only read 'eye's' inputs. Helps get through the bs. p
This weekend, weather permitting, I hope to be playing golf. The cool thing is 'while lining up my putt, I won't be wondering why Igor hasn't sent out some PR. Free to live and putt with a clear mind. What's your game?
A few have asked the question 'why won't Baltia put out PR". Asked 50 times or more. Some bright heads have answered very intelligently. Asked and answered. Let this site be for something new, we keep hashing the same things over and over. Gets us nowhere but space.
I waa ready to follow the Greek out of here, but hey, this is better than 'grade school Animal House'. If anyone knows Igor, please have him talk to the board with 'hi i'm igor, we are doing great, the staff is working real hard and we really feel we will be successful'. Then 10% of the board will 'grab their blankies, their binkies, and cuddle in the trundle beddies and finally get a good nights sleepie.' GOSH. Grow up.
where the heck have you been thiss last four years. Great input. Thanks. p
Thank you for your kind words. We are brothers of a sort. Some time after leaving the USAF I worked a number of years for Grumman Data System. Spent a lot of time at Bethpage HQs before they moved to Hearndon, VA. Good luck.
My continuation. The 747 is a monstrous Aircraft. Miles of cabling, many systems, boxes, junctions, cannon plugs, on and on. We are talking millions, maybe billions of words in the manuals. I would like to think that NWA had a well kept aircraft and associated manuals most likely today on digial format. Doesn't matter to FAA, they are now Baltia's and need to evaluated for accuracy.
One other thing, every manual has many links to another book, another system, etc, etc. Each and every one needs to be checked, again for accuracy. 45 days, I don't think so.
Sorry if I bored you, I'll now go back into my hole and continue to read every line entered, and sometimes shake my head.
28 year Air Force Retiree, 1985
As I mentioned I came out of my hole after reading every msg for the past so many years. I started another discussion on 'info' that may now have gained some understanding.
I would like to share some of my knowledge that may help some of us in understanding the 'manual' time line or lack of such. When I first heard of the '45 day' FAA response requirement, I thought 'what'. In my first 14 years of a 28 year Air Force career I was a Bench Maintenance Technician on a Air to Ground Guidance and Flight Control Missile System. Used manuals (technical orders-TO's) every day. Large library of then in large binders. The last 14 years after commissioning I was an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. Retired in 1985. There are many types of TO's: Operational, Inspection, Troubleshooting and Repair, Overhaul, and maybe not lastly, TCTO's (time change technical orders directing remove and replace those items that if failed would/could cause cathostrophic aircraft loss, say a horizontal airleron actuator that testing found would probably fail in, say 400 hours. Change than in 250 hours or such).
When I was leaving the AF they had IT contactors building digital TO's so the maintenance guy would only have to bring a laptop to the flightline to work a A/C problem. The biggest problem was scanning the wiring diagrams, diagrams and pictures. Very rudimentary back then and I'm sure so much advanced now. Let me continue.
So this 'board' is the total public universe out there. And only a phone call on something 'negative' would be illegal? Can't wait for that 'positive' call at home so I could really load up.
I've been a stock holder for many years. Low 6 digit investor. I've read all the notes on why Baltia won't/can't say anything to the board. HELLO. Anything they say can be constued by all of us either positive or negative, therefore prompting some to take investment action either positive or negative. That is illegal and some of you should get up to snuff on what they can and cannot say, which basically is to shut up.
