SELLOFF MASSACRE #2 - will be today OR tomorrow. Don't ask how we know, wake up & see w/your eyes (tomorrow).
Useless to ask AmpliTech, JMD NY.
They'd say "for sure we test and are the best!" But they can't test even in liquid Nitrogen, let alone Helium. It's all a facade.
Just trust my info. I know it better than any poster and can't explain why on board, just accept it for your own protection. You're free to not trust me, at own peril.
Despite this info, I doNOT advocate to buy or not buy its stock (AMPG), that can be viewed as manipulation, anger-inducing blasphemy or promo, no. So, you make your own judgment "To Buy or Sell" dear Hamlet, & I stay within legal boundary of public postings. My job is simply tell truth about company's product(s) or rather lack thereof, not about its Stock. And we all know numerous lossy companies who still command a premium price dueto "potential", maybe AmpliTech is one of those & I wish luck to AMPG Investors. I just can't stand the LIES about its products, yet its stock may still be a Buy... or not. You decide.
"Bahaha"? From infantile goat I hear.
Gi back to the barn. Meanwhile Iam busy scooping OCLR (Oclaro)
Iam the only one here, (besides CEO Fawad or his rep if they post here) who knows for a FACT they cannot test Cryogenics at liquid He2 (Helium) esp. laughable 2*Kelvin claims. Imaginary plots are actually typical for companies who cannot afford a real Helium rig & are based on physics/math formula for Johnson's-Nyquist component of NF vs. Temperature. As such, JMD NY is totally correct you cannot trust this estimate, fully: a real NF is higher as it accounts for more than just Nyquist (thermal stochastics) contribution,
AmpliTech's (AMPG) plots below room temp. 23*C are an ESTIMATE, not real lab/test data. Kudos to JMD NY, he is correct, I wonder if he's famous Javed who runs B&Z Technologies who makes even better LNA's in upper MW & mmW bands & Waveguides, better than AmpliTech.
Note that NoiseFigure (NF) in rare circumstances is NOT an ultimate judge of noise performance - in cold setups e.g. antenna pointing in Space far above earth, a lower NF amplifier is NOT necessarily less noisier/better, NF is merely a figure of merit.
Anyways, JMD NY is correct on his subject
Ampg attracts? - for the same reason BLTA did for 31 years & Bio Largo did.
SELLOFF MASSACRE will be today/tomorrow, don't ask how we know. Wake up & see w/your eyes, tomorrow
O'Brien said: "Microphase selling isn’t anything new.'
Neither are amplifiers from AmpliTech
Disregard - post went wrong
What do you meant I "rejoined Amplitech" ??
I've nothng todo with it, I was an investor, sold all my shares last year after my patience with its pretence ran out.
But I heard rumors, that whoever worked for them, was force-lured back to the company multiple times, b/c Amplitech thought they really really need him & other College-educated professionals were leaving thru a revolving door. Ampitech never managed to properly hire or hold-on College graduates, their workforce is pretty basic. You'd be terrified & don't need to know details.
Else Schizophrenia.
And this kind of product requires at least technical College grads all over the company, I don't even mention seasoned professional engineers as just ONE person would cost them like 15% of their Yearly revenues if benefits/U.I. insurance/State disability/etc. taxes/resurces (phone, water, toilet, etc.) on W2 are included.
But they can't afford even video surveillance it seems as someone mentioned events in parking lot, ridiculous.
I have here videocamras on every tree and inside to monitor slackers at work and yes it's legal !
Don't argue wth JMD NY - he is a technical person, O'brien you're so smart you can't be misled by him, I admire you.
For example, NF-optimization at the expense of wrecking VSWR-In / Return Loss, is not a problem, simply because Amplitech says so. Who cares that other companies strive to maintain better than 9.5dB (2:1) RL in 0.5-18GHz bands, 1.2-1.5:1 in nattow bands where Ampliteh copied Miteq along with Single-ended poorly reflection-matched FET's at 2:1 RL (often worse if measured by good Rohde-Swartz T&M rig), really who cares?
JMD NY may say "high-end, volume customers" but why Amplitech needs that, when it can put out a P.R. ^ a colorful brochre where all it matters is NOISE FIGURE, no matter how horrible VSWR is, see, it's an art of NF-optimization of such FET's described in 25-30 year old textbooks... umm sorry, i said oto much today!!
But you get the idea - Amplitech creates its own market, separate from reality, until volume customer sits down and MEASURES the supposed performance and says "Gosh... should we order this *** again?"
Did you ever work for AeroSpace, Telecom or some military contractors?.., once a customer stream is created, especilaly in multiple geo-regions, it doesn't dry up instantly after efforts to maintain it are ceased &/or key person disconnects. Once created, long-term e.g. year-long contracts are not canceled "on a whim", but eventually they may away after they experience negativity or enthusiastic key person throws in a towel.
JMD NY - you appeal to reason but why do you care to post negatives about AMPG? - LET THEM BUY :)!!
It's like talkign to Crack addicts, about downside of smoking it, but they laugh and provde proof of its benefit.
LET THEM SMOKE their pipe.
O'Brien said: "Q2 should be back to those quarters we got use to a couple years ago."
Exactly. That's when that disgusting ex-employee who gave them too much business left & the "residue' of his efforts dried up, as former partners dropped off.
Yeah, take that for breaking loyalty, that former digrunted evil engineer destroyed whole new customers stream, like they dropped form the sky and vaporized again, back to pre-2014 era. Right on, O'Brien.
I love your pointed, sharp, informative posts that prove... the points.
Good move, O'Brien - load up the boat while cheap, at this price/share can easily total a Million(s) shares of fast-growing AMPG. IMAGINE, if soon enough it jumps by a mere one (1) dollar, just 1 dollar - would result in a +$ Million gain for us, newly-minted Millionaires. And why not? We deserve after all this hard work hodling AMPG, just like those who hodled Bitcoins sice 2013 & even 2009 when I sugested to my boss to buy Bitcoins in 2013 at a bargain like $22 in february, he'd be a Billionaire today !! Same with AMPG - buywhile cheap, becaue this company is ready for explose, nay-sayers like JMD NY & that disgunted groaning supposedly "ex-employee" will be put to eternal damnation in the Hades of the Market Hell.
Let us load the boat with cheap shares of AMPg while feast continues, because after nest quarter it's gonna rocket 75% each month, given robust sales, Quantum computing pact with IBM Corp. (a $multi-billion dinosaur), SatCom, and now EVEN GSA plugged in besides MoD (GoI) of Israel & Boyscouts of Uganda.
Good price - time to load the boat, seems bullish sentiment?
I'd say go long on AMPG, but it's upto you kids.
I wish had cash to buy Ampg, but need to pay for shelter & pastdue bills
So BLTA + AMPG merger or acquisition of BLTA by AMPG
plans are also in jeopardy?, was it real or exaggerated as was previous public release? And Dilution ?
Did not expect OTC, expected Nasdaq, Amex
Problem is, as I stated YEARS AGO (!), AMPG is not trading on any regulated/Exchange, instead it trades on OTC (over-the-counter) - they can't sue or have other recourse over a fake PR or prevent similar damage in future. OTC is wild, unregulated, yet SEC can still sue you for misleading PR's, erroneous performance data/filings, etc. but nobody will help you against fake PR - it becomes your expense on lawyers. You didn't pay fees for such protection/services, as you would if listed on NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, TSX, or other regulated Exchanges
Not too bad though, AMPG is on OTC-QB, not on the worst tier OTC-PC (Pink), then again it's not first tier OTC-QX either
Whereas e.g. NASDAQ, I think, requires min. $35M (?) market cap to be listed & that's the goal Amplitech's "genius" executives should kept in mind before going IPO/Public... OTC mostly trades junk companies, subject to "slot-machine" vulnerability
Bullish outlook.
I don't know about anyone, but Iam Bullish on AMPG and been Bullish for a long years, as more time passes, I get more Bullish.
let's keep our fingers crossed (on both hands/legs) that we see a shear price rise to 85-90 cents/shear.
As we all see from a recent GOVERNMENT contract in the large amount of $500,000 U.S. Dollars, Quantum Computing (gwoing IBM involvement, as IBM stock is also rising), Milli tary, Healthcare, Oil, Gas, etc. - , theres genuine growth in our Amplitech portfolios, and I really appreciate that.
Iam Long on AMPG. Go Long guys, I just wanna emphasize that a small company doesn't mean bad - size doesn't matter, it's the tradign technique & GROWTH, which in AmpliTech's case is phenomental in just 17 years. Remember how long it took for General Electric (GE) to grow to where they're now - over 100 years.
And BLTA (Baltia Airlines) - over 29 years.
So don't complain, be PATIENT with AmpliTech
Does AMPG has any/new agreement with BLTA ?
BLTA (Baltia Airlines) apparently plans to use AmpliTech's in-flight LowNoise.Block converters (LowNoise Amps are included in such).
Iam confused, but BLTA on April 18 jumped by +7 cents, from 18 to 25cents/share. Is AmpliTech AMPG now involved in BLTA, really? Why not then GE Aviation or ABWN ?
That market is huge
As usual - you win,
Iam stupid and sorry for confusion. I did research AMPG & now realzied my data was wrong, turns out Quantum Computing and involved Cryogenic amplifiers, required dueto extreme sensitivity (ideally Absolute Zero thermal noise) are in high rapacious demand, market is cavernous according to Analyeasts. So AMPG is indeed a rising star of microcap technology company with integrated web-economy expertise in socket-enhanced solutions.
ON MONDAY, I'll see if I should load the boat, most definitely yes. Zacks reccommends AMPG, though my own DD esearch shows eve a stronger case for sustainabble, incesstant rapid growth in AMPG
D-Wave is doing something more practical in your lifetime, IBM is doing something that "may" increase your portfolio after you enter a Nursing Home.
But keep waiting, maybe you'll strike a huge profit.
Meanwhile I stay with MYO with targets announced at $9-12.
You stay with AMPG & its CEO's infantile wavering from one goal to another, for 17 YEARS.
But BLTA outdid even that - 29 years & still trading, thru multiple lawsuits, suspensions, revokacions.
Amplitech is making profit, really? HOW MANY YEARS out of total? Like 10, 20, 30% ? And quality of these profits? Similar to GE or IBM... until audited by government?
You don't know what I know, the product by now became bland, generic, NON-Patentable as numerous efforts to force USPTO grant it patents failed (I saw at least one lawyer who ran away screaming at Fawad... like SO MANY other people formerly involved with Ampg... SO MANY, you wouldn't believe how many joined & ran away screaming "God, help us!"
Let me advise you, fellows.
Apparently few if any of you have a hardcore Technical background. Problem w/Quantum Computing is it's still & HIGHLY likely to remain in the realm of metaphysical, in plain English volumes/sales of that will be so microscopic you'd need a microscope to find profits, or rather losses. You also labeled it "Cryogenic Computing" but you don't know a pint of any of such. It is NOT a market for AmpliTech. This company had veered off course many years ago and it was then when I "exploded" & gave up, first time. Several more followed.
Take heed that IBM who per pretentious P.R.'s from Amplitech might be a customer in distant future, is in bad shape itself and won't allocate much for this research, esp. with D-Wave west coast & Massachusetts labs leading this research, not IBM. Lockheed-Martin, a major defense contractor, bought first Quantum machines from D-Wave, not IBM, even that is an experiment that frankly I don't see a practical future profit-wise affecting us, stock/traders. This is like investing in IBM's T.J. Watson Research center in Yorktown heights, NY which I was invited to, some years ago (10Gigabit Ethernet was that project)... unlike some of you speculators. You read big words from P.R.'s & believe all of it, some executives have a talent, for Convincing, Motivational Speaking, and Amplitech does have it, over the almost 2 DECADES quite prolific.
Instead, Amplitech should've done some years ago what I advised, but since I was ignored, SO BE IT. REAP what you saw. Eat your own words. Some of the frustrating days I won't ever forget, until death. And death I no longer fear. I had a good life and at least I didn't use OPM schemes or put out pumped out P.R.'s. I pitched about MyoMo (MYO) but it's a real deal & humanistic/in-demand product on the rise, DPW was a flop but once I discovered who Milton Todd Ault was taking over Amos, I cut it off the night before BTC crashed.
Meanwhile MYO (MyoMo Corp.) is doing well. I hope you'll too, just cut the B.S. about Cryogenics being a game-changing revenue driver. Been there for 25 years since Miteq, and a Military top-tier contractor can't buy AmpliTech in volume simply b/c AMPG doesn't EVEN TEST it properly, in Thermal cycling, Salt Water, Pressure, and so on. Their Clean Room is a perpetual project or outsourced to a third-party, if any even exists.
START A CLASS.ACTION LAWSUIT vs. "DPW" scam - ALREADY
People wake up. Stop helplessly starring at your losses.
They pumped it to almost $5, one interesting quote from Milton Todd I remember on LinkedIn is: "Buy with eyes closed.. it'll go up, don't let emotions..." or something to that effect
START A CLASS.ACTION LAWSUIT vs. "DPW" scam - ALREADY
Contact Lawyers, recover at least 70% of your Losses. I can't do it alone for everyone, a Class.Action Lawsuit requires a large number of victims.

Below is OPTIONAL/CAN IGNORE (just or you education):
Read from the board "DD Support Board and Fraud Research Team" on InvestorsHub.com:
"
Stock Dilution Scam:
A share dilution scam happens when a company, typically traded in unregulated markets such as the OTC Bulletin Board and the Pink Sheets, repeatedly issues a massive amount of shares into the market for no reason, considerably devaluing share prices until they become almost worthless, causing huge losses to shareholders. Then, after share prices are at or near the minimum price a stock can trade and the share float has increased to an unsustainable level, those fraudulent companies tend to reverse split and continue repeating the same scheme.
Pump and dump" schemes, also known as "hype and dump manipulation," involve the touting of a company's stock (typically microcap companies) through false and misleading statements to the marketplace. After pumping the stock, fraudsters make huge profits by selling their cheap stock into the market.
Pump and dump schemes often occur on the Internet where it is common to see messages posted that urge readers to buy a stock quickly or to sell before the price goes down, or a telemarketer will call using the same sort of pitch. Often the promoters will claim to have "inside" information about an impending development or to use an "infallible" combination of economic and stock market data to pick stocks. In reality, they may be company insiders or paid promoters who stand to gain by selling their shares after the stock price is "pumped" up by the buying frenzy they create. Once these fraudsters "dump" their shares and stop hyping the stock, the price typically falls, and investors lose their money.
... are not investments - 99% of them will lose value over the long run and never accomplish most of their forward looking pumping statements they put in press releases or on their websites. Never believe the hype - always be skeptical of everything you hear.
The people mostly making money are promoters, front loading pumpers with big followings they can dump on, crooks, some of the flippers, and sometimes the very lucky.
Pumpers only tell you to buy stocks that they already own. Pumpers only tell you to hold stocks because they want to make sure you hold longer than them.
Very little respect or morals exist in stinky pinky land.
The Consequences of an SEC Suspension:
As of September 21, 2012 :
From January 2010 until today there have been a total of 1116 SEC Suspensions where ALL 1116 stocks were reinstated on the Grey Sheets after the ten day SEC Suspension ended.
Of the 1116 SEC Suspended stocks since January 2010 645 Registrations have been revoked.
The remaining 471 stocks are on the Grey Sheets (or still in the ten day SEC Suspension within the last ten days) and not one has made it off the Grey Sheets back to quotation by any Market Maker.
In case anyone asks what the chances are for their holy grail stock to get off the Grey Sheets.
All 1116 Suspensions and 645 revocations are listed with direct links to the SEC actions:

Yes, I responded to "NoDummy" and in a facetous style, not sure how it ended up here, forget it... confused.. most likely she/he had a link to this board & I accidentally clicked it.
P.S. AMPG is a trash stock
Sorry, was a joke - i thought you were one of those rabid posters on AMPG who think the world is out to "get their suffering, innocent stock" so i pretended to be the evil one out to get them... ignore it. A couple peole there are senseless but I confused you with those 2
Was a joke, sorry :)
You're NOT ALONE - i did a similar research for another symbol/company - MYO (MyoMo Corp.) when a wrong P.R. came out claiming their Earnings.Report "missed" expectations, when in fact it BY FAR EXCEeded expectations, wrong came from a well-known Benzinga (publisher) mixing up data.
I bombarded like a DOZEN top-level officers at MYO (incl. president, coo, cfo, IR relations, by email, calls, LinkedIn) + benzinga + TDAmeritrade. They corected the situaton but stock did take a dive for a few days. It was crazy, earnins was -24cents vs. -33cents estimate, whereas P.R> claimed "-25 vs. -16cents estimate"
So it happens, not just Amplitech but in your case (AMPG) that P.R. is indeed not just a mistake, but disgusting/Intentional, not accident. Though I suspect MYO stock was a victim of perhaps intention, as well, may not be accident.
MYO has recovered, so should AMPG
But Fawad, you forgot to attach me to these fake PR's, don't you wanna sue someone at least once/year?
Sue my cat - all he does is eat, sleep, & defecate (he's a registered Demoncrat), let's sue him.
P.S. I created those fake P.R.'s, report this message to FBI IC3 Unit (Internet Commerce Crime Center).
Iam a Russian HACKER, even though Russians were the ones vehemently denying our relationship, calling us "not native". I wanna puke now. This Board is more fun than 6 fraudulent buyers on Ebay who attempted to scam me, and whom I reported to Ebay + Paypal + FBI.
iam nt kidding.
You make one more assumtpion about my ANY REMOTE relation to this garbage and you may end up in a Libel lwsuit yourself.
Sometimes I kid, other times I kid you know
Can't trust Russian hackers, these days. Folks, it's time to move from words to ACTION. That sob, Advisors, must be sued to smitherins. He stole all amplifiers, gave it to Beijing, manipulated stock (if wasn't for him, AMPG be 85cents/share today), and now it is obvious he put out a fake P.R. to manipulate again, Globe Newswire already has a feeling about who did it. Stealing toilet lock codes for ballustic missiles & hacking a Media Relations company. Dangerous criminal hacker.
It was ADVISORS who put out a fake P.R. Everything falls into place - he's angry, rabid, evil, knows computers too well, hacks habitually, & a Russian (supposedly, by passport). I'd start a lawsuit vs. Advisors, it's clearly him who was interested in fake PR's and his octopus long arms could hack Globe Newswire
Bullish outlook.
I don't know about anyone, but Iam Bullish on AMPG and been Bullish for a long years, as more time passes, I get more Bullish.

STUPID company.
They can't even maintain computers - it's sad that a so-called "revolutionary" mom's & pop's joint allows hackers to issue a very funny (!) P.R. about buying out a failure of an "Oil, Gas, & Pharmaceutical" company, which has zilch todo w/ High-frequency electronics, that AmpliTech Inc. is.
yes, a Group that AMPG is can become a conglomerate, like GE was in all kinds of disparate businesses, but you know they can barely maintain own subsidiary Amplitech Inc. and all it is a shell for one & single small company. He once offered me to buy MY employer, well, my boss was laughing his pants out after hearing it/
What you don't know, it's mroe sad than funny b/c in Summer2010 he almost got into Brainwaves "business" but the partner company turned out to be a con artist with a Chinese named "Dr. Chow" involved & Brent Fouch of Jedi Mind, who was since sued to he** by LucasFilm for misuse of a trademark ("Jedi'), then was an Irish businessman with his autistic if not outright insane son who was in Metal Recycling - and surely Amplitech went along with him too. Did you know?
Anyways, here is a fact:
It is quite opposite - best Amplitech can do, is not buy someone, but get bought by someone before it loses value further & CEO gets older than critical age after which you just wanna stay in bed & play with grandkids.
I swear I know what's best for Amplitech because Iam such a.... well, OK.
Seriously, if somone buys Amplitech say for $20 Million, that would be ONE & BEST outcome for its aging officers including CEO, Iam not sure about Louisa b/c she's there b/c she can't get any better, pathetic salary too. people 10 years younger make like 3x more than she being a CFO !!
AmpliTech doesn't have resources to buy anyone other than a Seven-Eleven or donut shop, so my (possibly dead wrong?) thinking is someone HACKED their account(s) feeding into GlobeNewswire?
In fact, I sold approx. $4,000 worth of stuff on Ebay the other week & 2 of my buyers turned out to be hackers who used someone else's account w/o authorization.
The past half-year I detected a chatter & unusually high tide of hackign coming from Russia & surprise! - from India. Usually it's the China + Russia "duo", but I was attacked by south Indians recently on Paypal, Ebay, & regular email logins, since computers is partof my blood, nobody could ever hack me, in fact I scared the hell out of several of them, even giving one idiot a phone# for FBI office in Albany, NY :)
But iam saying, i suspect Amplitech newsfeed was hacked.
fawad deals with these people & some are crooks/hackers more often than general population. When i was involved in this stock, I actually witnessed & guarded them against this as they ALL except Mick maqbool, lack computer knowledge. ALL of them, except one man - Mick (Fawad's brother), and Mick didn't even join company full-time until 2008, even afterwards his knowledge is sometime "flakey"... especially if he recently was looking for a better job so he may've slacked and lost his guard against hackers. Iam not here trying to help anyone, I justfind the subject fascinating. If it wasn't for electronics Hardware, I'd be in software or Bio/Molecular/Computational biology as was predicted in early 1990's, but life changed that
Whatever. Utterly weird P.R. indeed... oil & gas?, pharmaceuticals? mixed with amplifiers?, and fact Amplitech can even BUY ANYONE is highly unlikely.
Likely be fake but with a purpose to parabolic spike in Share price. Whoever did it, has learned a lot from me, from former Jedi Mind/Mind Technologies, and possibly from that disgusting fat Milton Todd Ault III who wedged himself into DPW Corp. and gave it a really black eye so their shares spiked from 45 cents to $5 (!!!) then back to $1.09.
It does seem like a disgusting attempt (or experiment?) to cause parabolic rise in share price, NO way it was an accidental typo in P.R. It was done by someone to just experience a cause-effect spike. If they did it by themselves, it's a good case for investigation by SEC, but I hope they didn't do by themselves, someone did... weird.
This P.R. even I couldn't expect, and by now Iam seasoned to all kinds of crooks on Wall Street....
He is a version of Milton Todd Ault III.
I warned you, didn't I since last year? Now you see the frutis of your disbelief.
You're being fleeced. You're now in "Oil, Gas & Pharmaceutical industry". All over the place - as long as you give him your hard earned money, which will be subsequently burned with pomp & P.R.'s
It was 85cents/share years ago, genius.
Nobody cares for revenues adjusted for inflation, if profit is a joke AND if it's been since 2001. I mean if oyu spend 17 years doing something and not reachign goals, you gotta recall famous Albert Eistein's quote:
"Doing the same thing over & over again, and expecting a different result, is insanity"
But I do wish you luck, no harm, my friend. I just feel compelled to at least a vague attempt to warn... to prevent you from crying later.
It was doing way over $1Million in revenues many years ago, like a decade ago in prices of THAT year, now it's 2018 and doing $3Million excuse me! - a decent house here costs almost a $Million, unless you live in Montana or North Dakota's boondocks. Here is a benchmark: you got to make $250,000/employee in revenues to sleep well, AND that requirement is besides profit margin... which is shrinking. All kinds of average companies makes most of these amplifiers AND a number of companies make them BETTER. Go look at Norden Millimeter, SAGE Millimeter, LowNoise factory, L3Narda-Miteq, even freakin' CIAO Wireless if they're pushed by the customer, does it. It's just hard to make in volume, it's a low-volume Lab-grade/low-revenue product.
But what's even worse, is their VSWR-IN. All they do at Amplitech is NF-optimization with VSWR beign relaxed typ. to 2:1 (-9.52dB degradation) or even 2.5:1 for ulrawide 0.5-22GHz bands. Do you have a technical background, if not I tell you - this cr** is often Unacceptable at the front-end antenna dueto distortion, low noise or not, you get garbage with this VSWR. And that cannot be changed with the design they follow by copying Miteq's discoveries decades ago which they proclaim their own inventions. Single-ended classic textbook with a pretence of "inventions". No patents there, only claims rebued by USPTO.
Have a nice day, my friend, and please seek Truth, not Foggy claims
If you know too much, you'll get old too soon
O'Brien, I've never been responsible for "developing" HiPower Amps. In fact, all my life I found Analog, and specifically RFMW field of EE, quite boring and "not my cup of tea", and design engineers better do something in life they're excellent at, not something they're "drawn into" by a series of events/circumstances. However I became involved in AnalogRFMW & much amplifiers in other ways. My old roots were in theoretical Physics, Chemsitry, some fascination with Astronomy but that died early, then Electronics and really hard-on switch to Digital by mid/late 1980's when it was all the rage & my classmate "converted" me into his religion. That classmate went on to become Vice President of a major transAtlantic Software firm, serving Euro-Canada/U.S.-Russia, all he did was to show me a D-flipflop in a CMOS IC used in a touch-control door bell, and I was hooked! I though, instead of a nunch of transistors sensing exact analog voltages, here's a D-flipflop that holds (registers) a level that's all we need! It was asynchornous (no clock) though, back then. Bulding computers from components, not like today even a monkey can buy a few parts like motherboard and plug one onto another, but I mean down to component level - create REALLY COMPLEX PCBoards, install/solder all components, test, tune, modify Firmware, add Software which was a hard task in those years. Programmable calculators. We were "tech mafia" in 1980's schools, guys asked me to fix their tape recorder (multiple), radio, audio amps, though not digital it was electronics, but I really disliked the insides of my high-end "All-Wave" receiver bought by father at a huge premium (he was a dept. head & engineer so he could afford) - i discovered a bunch of coils inside, tuned elements, weird unpredictable behavior when I experimented with antennas, Gosh... only a FEW components make a HUGE difference, unlike digital a HUGE number of components with fairly predictable behavior. I hated AnalogRF already then. Nowadays there's no border between high-speed digital & AnalogRF, clock frequencies risen so high - EVERYTHING now requires a Analog RFMicrowave undersrtanding, everything is a transmission line, not a lumped conductor, OK where's my tranquilizer pill... I hate Vias, especially burried Vias running 4GHz clock !!! This isn't digital, nor is it Analog, it's sheer Microwaves, the worlds have converged and you better worship Maxwell, like it or not.
Anyways, I became deeply involved in AnalogRFMW since a freak accident (hiring) in year 2005, after drinking cool aid, appearing at a job interview at some VERY very prominent RFMicrowave company, and smashign their expectations so I got hired same day as interview. Their principal engineer was foaming at mouth - "ohh what a deal, we get this guy and only for $50K"
Since than amusingly, surprisingly to myself, I became part of exactly what I wasn't supposed to be - Analog RF/MW. S-parameters? WHAT? I knew X, Y, Z parameters, obviously well-versed in Fourier & Laplacian transforms, Z-transforms in discrete signal DSP, whatever, but umm "S-Parameters" and to worry about reflected waves, hello? Why such complications? If I apply 500Hz triangle signal Iam supposed to get... a 500Hz triangle at the other end. Gosh, these people threw a very thick classic book on Microwave frequency theory, and forced me to study it daily and report, they forced me under a microscope, and even to wirebond in case assemblers fail. That book was sheer evil, it revolted my previous education, it made me vomit but I had to eat it. Over time appettite came during th emeal, i started to bloody love that book, I thought this is it. God wants me to be what i didn't expct to become. And it's betetr than a Murderer!
Here's another fact - in schools & colleges I got terrible grades in ElectroMagnetics once we left realm of theoretical physics, and yet i got perfect, like best in classes grades in Switching/Logic systems, Digital circuits, ALU's & Microprocessors, silicon/chip-level design, anyways...
I never developed HiPower Amplifiers from the scratch, I "created" them, new models, new perfomance, but outside Amplitech and entire different frequencies, and to best summarize it:
On SYSTEM-LEVEL. I don't like that stuff down to components-level, if I should go down into component-level, I'd do digital controls like Micros/MCU's, Firmware.
I frankly could care less about what's inside RFHIC other than my cinviction it's mostly class A-B (mixed) with a push-pull pair at the very output stage, devices are GaN's orig. CREE, but then becamse Qorvo, Wolfspeed, american components used in Korea.
NOW GO SLEEP !!!
