I hated to see this ((#msg-173566163) but I totally get the reason why. People need to move on with their lives. Still, I really enjoyed getting my morning's first glimpse of the market/business news and then periodically obtaining updates throughout the day.
I guess it's just kinda depressing/melancholy to acknowledge we "old timers" are getting older- and seeing this board ($Stock*Shop*Charts*News*Option$) close is just another reminder...
"CNBC's Bob Pisani is letting readers know that closing the year at a historic high is a fairly rare event it has only happened eight times since 1926, and only four times since 1963, according to S&P Global."
Helps "splain today's profit taking and algos running rampant...🙄
S&P could have one more pop left in her and then the market is due for a correction...
I wondered if they held it in other ETF funds but too lazy to hunt it down 😏 Tx!
ARK is holding 23.79m shares

Merry Christmas my fellow traders/investors!
ARGHHH Billy have you never been to sea?
Why blame children for our misery?
Yup, still windy here (near Tampa) and east coast gonna get hit good all the way up it appears.
Local weather talking-head says it all has to do with El-Nino being one of the strongest on record...
Sunday musing- I just got back from a 7-day Caribbean cruise (Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, Tortola,) and was supposed to finish in the Bahamas where the Spousal Unit and I signed up to run some jet skis through the waves- The seas had other plans--- 8-10 foot swells with sustained winds 25-30kts gusts to 40+kts. We rocked and rolled for three nights straight on the ship. Still got bruises on my forehead from doing headers into the wall while standing at the urinals (the booze had nothing to do with it). Couldn't get into the Bahamas Friday, so the ship puttered around the ocean all day taking their time getting us back into dock in Florida on Saturday
Came back to Florida yesterday to tropical storm rain and winds.
What gives?😒
In all the mess, you can be thankful for that...
S&P apparently gonna rebalance- #msg-173345076
And of course raise a glass...
They'll shut down your account real quick, no charge...
So I leave it be
Charity, that would be a bad idea, would be like taking your garbage bag and giving it to a homeless person just in case you may have left something still worth eating in it.
My first reaction was to say "who the fuck knows, I'm not sure why I bought shit yesterday"
Yeah, originally was Scotty and EVERYTHING transferred to TDA. I had asked in the past about removing my old trading "mistakes" when TDA took over but was told it would cost all kinds of $$ for them to do all the paperwork and DD so I elected to leave them there and take up space.
I wish Schwab would take the other worthless piles of dog biscuits I own and simply make them disappear as well...
Schwab clearing out some of my VERY old (15+ years ago) trading mistakes 🤗 (#msg-173342878)
GENESIS BIOVENTURES???? Never heard of it lol!! Who knows what the original name/ticker was then OR why I even played it...
This is good news- I didn't even know I owned it (not that it even matters at this point) obviously a REAL crappy trade/gamble from the past LOL!!!
Got an email from Schwab (they just finished transferring my account(s) from TDA):
We recently learned that your account listed above holds securities that have no known market and have had no transfer agent service available for the securities for the past six years. Without a transfer agent, the securities are deemed to be non-transferable.
What this means for your account.
Because we’re unable to custody non-transferable securities, we’re removing the securities below from your account and will no longer include them in your online or print statements. You will see the removal as an "Adjust Position" entry on your upcoming statement and within your transaction history. For taxable accounts, this action will not be reported to the IRS.

HA!
I never listened to his CD, I didn't have a CD player and eventually my roommate figured it belonged to her.
Haven't seen it since
Lots of truth there.
Not only that, malpractice insurance rates are considerably lower as well...
One night Joseph (Roch Voisine) gives me a CD and says this is my music.
I never saw him after that, his career took off I guess
...and to dovetail on that, Joe posted this LINK Samsung eyes improved AI chips with "competitive advantage"
According to the report, the so-called GDP advantage represents three aspects of Samsung chipmaking. First, it references the gate-all-around (GAA) chip fabrication technology that Samsung has employed in recent production. It also includes high-bandwidth memory and advanced packaging technology. That’s how you get the acronym GDP: GAA, DRAM, Packaging.
From last month to show the relationship: “We are working with half of the world’s top semiconductor producers today and we have been doing work in GAA and in DRAM,” said Mears.
YW! It's more of a pastime for me than a chore 😉
I used to play pool with the guy in 1989/1990
GAA, short for gate-all-around, reduces the leakage current of processors with a circuit width of 3 nm or below. It is Samsung’s key architecture to develop next-generation DRAMs and packaging technology.
The 3 nm technology is the first process node on which Samsung applied its first-generation GAA structure transistors.
He should have read the above book, it didn't turn out so well for the political guy that did it.
...and then, 48 hours later on the other side of the country...(New York)

Tuesday Dec 5th 2023 Check out who one of the Manufacturing speakers is 🤔😉
Vice President of Business Development at Atomera Aabid Husain
Best of luck my friend.
Just a matter of time...😉
I was hoping it was a different company.
Appears, via the S-twits chatter box, that AKM (Asahi Lasei Microdevices) has gained significant traction as being the suspected company in question.
I enjoy the all the cyber sleuth's hypotheses, not that it really matters (for me) in the long run "who" the entity is. It does make me curious as to which poster(s) will be able to lay claim to have called it correctly lol
