Me too. Welcome to the Whoa-is-me board sctrojan. People that supposedly own shares, hate the stock, think it's going to decline further and yet won't sell. If you can figure it out, let me know the logic of it. lol
Good Lux,
Sloth
Exactly. I think we will be seeing many, many more such lighting upgrades to America's infrastructure over the following years. Whether Cyberlux is part of the process will remain to be seen. They have great technology to be involved in some kind of capacity. I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear about Cyberlux's vision for their products in the future. I sure do hope they spread their wings into other industries and applications. I think this will be where Philips is a big plus when/if we team up with them.
Sloth
Well, I've told you that I appreciate you work around here but I disagree with you on this. If it was a matter of simply the SP declining I would agree with you but the decision to do a reverse split was immensely damaging and just plain stupid. It's almost impossible for a company to retain shareholder value without some kind of carrot such as an uplisting to the AMEX or Nasdaq or some huge business deals going through at the time of an RS.
Good luck to us,
Sloth
They had over a billion shares in the A/S not the O/S. They had plenty of additional shares to sell to fund operations. The reverse split did nothing to raise money. The price plummeted after the split and they couldn't sell off enough shares at the higher prices to get money so they had to increase the A/S and O/S to offset the huge price decline to get the same amount of money. If they didn't do the R/S, they could of sold the hundreds of millions of shares and had no effect on the stock price while they secured funding.
I went to shareholder meeting after they increased the A/S to 1.2 billion. They said they raised it that high because they didn't want to have to raise it again. I asked if they would do a reverse split and they said they wouldn't.
Nobody bought the stock after the split because of the RS shadow hanging over its head and it settled back to the .0002s again.
They had other choices and blew it with the RS. Didn't affect them because they didn't own shares but it affected the shareholders. We would have a lower AS and OS today if they had not done the RS.
Sloth
Rainmaker, that's completely untrue about buying in too soon. There are many longtime shareholders, including myself, who have always seen SIVC as a long term play. I knew it could possibly take 5+ years for anything to happen so I accumulated shares while the company grew.
The fact of the matter is I would be sitting real, real, real, real pretty right now if they didn't do a reverse split. That just completely F'd the longs as it does with every company that does an RS. We were sitting at .0002 before the RS and there was no place to go but up from there so they could of done everything they're doing now without a reverse split. I would guarantee that bitterness would not be the word if they do another one.
I think all information has its relevancy gauge around here. It's absolutely important for new investors to know the whole story. I still have a heck of a climb to go to regain my losses and it's because of the reverse split. Why did they do it? I have no friggin' idea but those scars are deep in many investors' flesh. I pray they never get that brilliant idea again.

"and that all potential legal and SEC compliance issues are addressed."
That would stink if they screwed up issuing dividends and got in big doodie with the gov. That definitely would make for some unhappy campers.

Philips teams with Dutch government to provide off-grid LED lighting
08 Jul 2008
Don't think it has anything to do with Cyberlux but still good to know that Philips is forward thinking in re to LED lighting. Will be nice when we're part of it.
A public-private partnership will provide sustainable lighting for people in sub-Saharan Africa that lack access to electrical lighting.
Philips has signed a public-private partnership (PPP) agreement with the Dutch Government, which will see the development of a new generation of sustainable, LED-based, solar-powered lighting products for sub-Saharan Africa.
The new PPP agreement aims to provide 10 million people in 14 countries in sub-Saharan Africa with affordable, appropriate and sustainable energy solutions and services by 2015.
As part of the agreement, the Dutch government will provide funding for awareness creation and entrepreneurial training, as well as support for finance mechanisms and project management. Philips in turn commits to provide a balanced investment in new product development for African people and households deprived of access to modern energy services.
Gerard Kleisterlee, President and CEO of Philips said in a recent speech, "The rural lighting markets for low income people in developing countries, is not very well known or explored. It is essential that governments and international organizations such as the World Bank, NGOs [non-government organizations] and various companies get together in a network to work out appropriate business models."
Philips is also involved in Lighting Africa, the World Bank Group initiative to provide modern lighting to the 250 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa who have no access to electricity. Jointly managed by the IFC and the World Bank, Lighting Africa aims to develop market conditions for the supply and distribution of new, non fossil fuel lighting products, such as fluorescent light bulbs and LEDs, in rural and urban areas of the region that are not connected to the electricity grid.
At the Lighting Africa 2008 event held in May in Ghana, 16 companies and organizations were awarded up to $200,000 to implement projects that offer affordable, clean, safe, off-grid lighting and that improve access to lighting for people living without electricity across the region.
Today an estimated 500 million Africans live without electricity. For these people, nighttime means either darkness or the flickering light of a candle or kerosene lamp. However as prices of oil have risen dramatically during the past few years, very few can now afford the kerosene they need. As a result, when the sun goes down, life simply comes to a stop for hundreds of millions of people. Work and other economic activities stop, and children don’t do homework. Quality of life is also affected. In these cases self powered and solar powered lighting solutions really make a difference.
Part of the solution can come from a new generation of solar-powered lighting systems. Philips has recently been testing a new solar "Uday" lantern, a compact lighting system that provides bright white light and is charged by the power of the sun. Each day's charge will provide 250 lumens (the equivalent light of 250 candles) for 4-5 hours.
Benefits of new solar lighting solutions include significant cost savings, less fire risk compared with kerosene-type lanterns, no direct carbon footprint and the use of a sustainable natural commodity (sunlight or manpower) to generate electricity. In addition there are economic and social benefits from being able to undertake activities in the evening hours.

Wish I had those deep pockets myself Super. Oh well, unless we get some news we will languish down here where I can continue to buy my little lots at low, low prices on a weekly basis.
By the way, I can't ignore any more people on IHUB. Do they have a limit or have they stopped the ignore feature for those who are free memebers?
Good Lux.

There is no point to dwell over the lawsuit. The board really is pretty quite without news and some posters had brought up the case and others are definitely confused about it. I thought making some points was a refresher to what people are referring to. As far as AJW being denied the shares, if they are not abiding by the Agreement's rules then I think Cyberlux has every right to discontinue the agreement.
These deals with NIR are toxic even when they follow the rules but if they start breaking them then something has to be done before your company is destroyed. The court case is about them breaking the rules and we will see if Cyberlux has the evidence to prove it. NIR was not being denied until Cyberlux supposedly discovered nefarious practices.

Here's the site that has a lot of info on the N.I.R. Group that is the parent company to all the Defendants in the Cyberlux lawsuit. Corey Ribotsky seems like a real piece of work. I have just started reading some of the posts and ibox about what the company has and is doing to companies and similar scams the guy is involved in.
Seems like lots of info. I saw nohogs has been over there.

Here's some of the claims that Cyberlux is making.
Defendants represented to Cyberlux that, among other things, they would at all times relevant act in a manner consistent with reasonable business practices and honor the terms under the Transactions Agreements in good faith.
Cyberlux detrimentally relied on the misrepresentations of the Defendants in determining whether to enter into the Transaction Agreements.
Defendants, by virtue of their position as the owner of Cyberlux’s securities, owe Cyberlux a fiduciary duty, when, among other things, Defendants sell or otherwise handle Cyberlux’s stock.
Defendants breached their duty to Cyberlux when Defendants employed a fraudulent scheme that artificially manipulated and negatively impacted Cyberlux’s market stock.
Defendants specifically agreed that they would not effect “short sales” of Cyberlux’s stock.
Defendants also agreed under the Securities Purchase Agreements that they would not collectively own more than “4.9 % of the outstanding shares of Cyberlux’s common stock.”
However, the Defendants manipulated downward the stock price of Cyberlux by short selling Cyberlux’s stock in order to profit from the manipulation and price decline and to take advantage of increased conversion rights resulting from that manipulation and a trading scheme.
The Defendants committed a material breach of the Securities Purchase Agreements by short selling Cyberlux’s stock, and Defendants’ apparent deliberate and deceptive attempt to gain over 5% ownership of Cyberlux by a unified common ownership structure among Defendants.
Defendants agreed to limit conversions to no more than 4.99% of the issued and outstanding at time of conversion at any one time.
Throughout this time, the Defendants converted shares in an aggregate conversion total of 383,464,564 shares.
Defendants gained an illegal profit by exceeding the trading volume restrictions.
Sloth
They did sue first unless I am recalling the sequence of events incorrectly. In one of Cyberlux's claims, they want to be compensated for the money spent to investigate the sales of their shares. I highly doubt that they would or could bring a lawsuit without documentation of the trades that they are claiming occurred to manipulate the stock price. Also in the agreement is that the defendants (AJW, etc) would not own more than 4.99% of the outstanding stock which they were attempting to do and goes against security purchase agreement rules.
Sloth
I continue to add. Added more today. I buy a little every week or so. These levels can't stick around for too long. Too many good things in the works.
Good Lux all,
Sloth
Rainmaker,
Do you post with another alias on these boards? This is the second link to that video I've seen today on these message boards. I think patience is absolutely necessary for these penny stocks and heck for any stock for that matter.

I'm with ya Desert. Very hard to forget a beating like that. We want to believe but caution is paramount for those with the scars from the stock's past.
I hope it works out for everyone,

Boy, I wish I were that optimistic. I have to keep my wits with this one since I've been burned good once already. I would do a jig in the streets if it happened.

Jumped on some more "Blue Light Special" shares myself.

I went through this plenty of times with both Ameritrade and ETrade. I now have a checking account through ETrade just for the purpose of transfering funds immediately to buy stocks. The checking account is attached to me trading account and it actually gets better interest than a savings account at a bank. The funds go immediately into my trading account after I click the transfer button. They also have savings accounts that draw an even higher interest rate. Granted, all rates stink now a days but more is better for that scenario.

"this is truly just the beginning of a longer-term lighting technology transition from incandescent-based lighting to solid-state LED lighting within the U.S. Armed Services"
Just the beginning of Cyberlux also!!
Sloth
T-Bone,
I don't think the orders have to be done by Sep. 30th. I think they have a fiscal year and a budget to appropriate "X" amount of funds for that year. They are basically earmarked for that fiscal year. I don't think the appropriated funds expire but are used when deemed necessary-even if it's in the next fiscal year. The 2009 DOD budget will hopefully again allocate more funds for the products along with other federal/state/local agencies using the products such as New York’s 911 Public Safety Answering Centers. We may partner up for more contracts with Evans Consoles. They have some big clients.

Yes, thanks Karen. Much appreciated.

Faust, that can only be a positive in regards to SIVC as far as I can tell. Making anything easier in China is a plus. Everything takes way to long to develop as it stands today. As I've always said, once we can get multiple reverse mergers occurring and occurring on a regular basis, we will be receiving shares/revenue from a previous merger as we wait for the current merger to close. There will be shorter and shorter lulls in the revenue stream. At least that's what I hope happens.
It could turn into a money making machine if all pans out (for them and us).
Sloth
Picked up another 125k today at .008. I'm getting caught up again in the SIVC fever. I hope it pans out for me this time and all longs. Would be nice to have a big payoff with this baby since I've been invested for about 3 years now.
Let's get this machine fired up!
Sloth
Picked up some today at .012. Trying to get up there with you big boys. lol
Every little bit counts,
Sloth
Karin, I can't PM you because I'm not a member but I bought SIVC which used to be SEIH for a year and a half. I don't know what my cost basis was but I will tell you that I had over 20 million shares before the RS. After the RS all my investment was basically wiped out. I had to start over. I could have bought my 20+ million shares for a thousand bucks or so. Let's hope I can reclaim my losses.
Sloth
DesertSon, I surely hope so. We've been here for a long time now. I think since we've been here the longest, everyone who makes big money off of SIVC should give us some kind of commission. lol
What a change from days of past!
Sloth
That's not really the buy/sell volume. I thought it was myself previously until I read the explanation given under the help section.
Here's what it says about those figures:
The 'Buy', 'Sell' and '?' columns - Where the 'Price' is closest to the 'Offer' price, the trade is considered a 'Buy'. Where it is closest to the 'Bid' price, the trade is considered to be a 'Sell'. Where it is dead centre between 'Bid' and 'Offer', it appears in the '?' column; this indicates that the trade cannot be identified as either a 'Buy' or a 'Sell'.

Nohogs, I think the MMs are playing with the price. The ask now is at .016 and the buys are at the ask which would normally push the price up but for some reason they're not. I don't like the price to drop, but since I'm an investor for the long term and will continue to buy little chunks regularly, I can just buy a few more. In a couple years, hopefully it all pays off.
Best regards,
Sloth
Sorry, I guess that indicator is only for whether the trade was closer to the bid or the ask. If it's closer to the ask it's considered a buy transaction and if it's near the bid, it's considered a sale. If you look at bigger stocks, if there are more trades that are considered buys than sells, the stock goes up. Not so on these pennies though.
Sloth
I guess you can say SIVC is on fire right now. Definitely moving faster than a sloth. lol
Sloth
4:1 actually now.
Sloth
Let's Go $1!
Sorry, maybe I'm jumpin' the gun a bit.
Sloth
Large buying interest again today. Almost 2:1.
The news is over. Whoever sold into the news affected the price for the day they sold. Today's trades are buys, not sales. Maybe you don't understand the question I posed. How does the price go down when people are buying today on a 4:1 ratio to sales? Someone selling prior has no bearing on today's trades. The stock market is based supposedly on supply and demand and there was a huge demand for the stock but no increase in price to reflect that.
Maybe that helps you understand what I was saying. The market is day to day and today was a big buying day.
Sloth
What's the consensus here? Are most posters here investors or traders? What are most of you looking at as far as time holding this stock? I am an investor and usually always hold stocks for long periods. Unfortunately, the RS killed me with SIVC but I'm still looking long term here and hoping to be in the pennies (hopefully double digit) down the road.
Sloth
I don't know if anyone looked at that buy/sell link that I posted which is part of the ihub website but I have to hit refresh a few times before I can see the whole chart. The thing I don't understand is the first trades were all buys 915,000 of them and the bid/ask went down. Am I reading this chart right or missing something? Seems real strange to me. The whole buy/sell color chart is almost all green indicating all buys and nada happens.
