GLOBALFOUNDRIES Demonstrates 3D TSV Capabilities on 20nm Technology
Apr 02, 2013
Fab 8 in New York delivers functional 20nm silicon with Through-Silicon-Vias (TSVs)
Milpitas, Calif., April 2, 2013 – GLOBALFOUNDRIES today announced the accomplishment of a key milestone in its strategy to enable 3D stacking of chips for next-generation mobile and consumer applications. At its Fab 8 campus in Saratoga County, N.Y., the company has demonstrated its first functional 20nm silicon wafers with integrated Through-Silicon Vias (TSVs). Manufactured using GF’s leading-edge 20nm-LPM process technology, the TSV capabilities will allow customers to stack multiple chips on top of each other, providing another avenue for delivering the demanding performance, power, and bandwidth requirements of today’s electronic devices.
TSVs are vertical vias etched in a silicon wafer that are filled with a conducting material, enabling communication between vertically stacked integrated circuits. The adoption of three-dimensional (3D) chip stacking is increasingly being viewed as an alternative to traditional technology node scaling at the transistor level. However, TSVs present a number of new challenges to semiconductor manufacturers

Might be that they finally have verification with corresponding patents inline?

http://consiliumglobalresearch.com/consilium_PDFs/NPWZ_Initiation_9-10-2014.pdf
An independent group valued the company’s fuel cell IP
in the range of $800 million to $1.6 billion, but we scaled
this back using conservative assumptions to a range of
$46.9 million to $117.7 million. That same research group
estimates that stationary fuel cell markets will grow from
$1.2 billion in 2013 to $14.3 billion in 2020.
Intellectual Property – 2013 Acquisition of Tekion Assets
Over the years the company has amassed a substantial stable of 14 patents, and various pending
patents and patent applications.
In late 2011, an independent, professional IP evaluation company, Dolcera Corp., assessed Neah
Power’s patent portfolio and determined a valuation range of approximately $800 million to $1.6 billion.
This valuation was based on the projected growth rates in various markets, the ability of the company to
garner market share, and the types of royalty arrangements that can be reasonably expected. All this is
contingent upon the uniqueness of the company’s proprietary technology. The company’s patents are
slated to expire in the years 2020 - 2030.
The acquisition of Tekion’s assets in November, 2013 brought to Neah Power several of the above
mentioned patents and the capability to build upon its silicon and formic acid technologies. It is upon
these new and innovative technologies that the promise of long-term growth has been based. It stands to
reason that the value of the assets from the Tekion acquisition reinforces the overall valuation of the
company.
Three Main Market Areas of Value
The Dolcera evaluation focused on three major markets, the military, transportation and stationary fuel
cell markets. In addition, because of the company’s strong links to the Indian government, that
government’s potential spending on military applications was also included.
We believe Dolcera’s valuation parameters are overly optimistic relative to the status of the company’s
current commercialization efforts. Projecting royalties is indeed a viable method by which to assess a
company’s value, but much verification will still be needed of the company’s technology before major
manufacturers or large-scale power generation entities are likely to step forward and embrace Neah
Power.

XNRGI has developed a lithium metal battery utilizing porous silicon as the electrode substrate and by merging the battery design with the low cost and manufacturing benefits of the silicon industry. The technology is based on the most versatile manufacturing concept that battery industry has seen in its long history and has the potential to solve numerous disadvantages of the conventional battery technology. The design is “chemistry” agnostic as it doesn’t restrict use of almost any cathode material, including the most common LCO, NMC, NCA, or LFP cathode materials. The critical feature of the proposed configuration is a three-dimensional, highly repeatable structure, with a 50X larger surface area for reaction with millions of small pores. The main expected advantages of this method include: high energy density demonstrating (> 1600 Wh/L) 405 Wh/kg 6X the energy density of a traditional Lithium Ion battery. The next generation Lithium Metal Air (4400 Wh/L), 680 Wh/kg, 10X a traditional lithium ion battery. I can understand a bogus teaming agreement...but why would S4W place this information on a sell/order sheet for a product as serious as their drone?
Continuous Flight
• UAS management solution for continuous uninterrupted flight missions
• UAS of various energy sources to extend flight times
• Integrated Neah Power battery for extended, multiple Hour flight times.
Still on the website. This is not some backyard toy drone. S4W is trying to attract high end clients, police, military, contractors etc. Why would they advertise falsely for Neah's sake, nothing to gain when you are already partnered with VOXX.
Think they are going to post fraudulent information like this:
"Integrated Neah Power battery for extended, multiple Hour flight times."
Really? So xyz police department calls S4W to place an order based on the above claims...what do they tell their potential client? Oh, we posted that information so our buddy Chris D'Couto could sell shares of his slimy, defunct fuel cell/battery company.
Right...
Not sure why the delay, but still waiting.

No , i am actually a shareholder and because of that and the fact that I care about even my "high risk" money i do not want them to fail.
That is actually NEWS posted by a different company not NEAH. Since the links were just fixed recently it would enforce that the news is most likely true.
After all , why fix the link so that it can be read if it was old and not valid news. Too bad S4W does not agree with you.
The fact that you do not want it to be true is a personal problem.

Strange logic there.
Do not know what NEAHs status is since D'Couto has gone incomunicado.
However I will inject a quote from the S4W CEO.
"Paul Sault, CEO of S4W noted, “Our engineering staff and consultants immediately recognized the transformative nature of NEAH Power’s Formira HOD™ and PowerChip® solutions, specifically, when incorporated in a highly disruptive product like our Smart Body Cam where continuous power is necessary for delivery of the ever-important personnel and public safety benefits they provide. ?
So he states the intent to use NEAH in the bodycam, so why do you decide it will not be used in the camera ?
S4W recently fixed their news links regarding NEAH and VOXX, I see this as a re-iteration of their partnership with both.

Awesome find Bill. After all of these years following Neah, it would be an extraordinary event to hear the company announce the completion of a verified, ready for production product. With all of the due diligence you have posted, I am actually feeling rather optimistic.
Scouring the S4W website again,I saw this and had the same thought regarding VOXX's seriousness about the camera:
(inserted into the email chain)
Quote:
The ACCU.C 4G
body camera has been co-developed in partnership by S4W and VOXX Advanced Solutions
Corporation (VASC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of VOXX International Corporation
(NASDAQ: VOXX), a worldwide leader in many automotive and consumer electronics
"The Audiovox® S4W Body Camera is the only Body Camera available in the market today designed and spec’d for the Military, holding the most current and top level DoD IT and Information Assurance Accreditations and Compliance certifications available."
I also went though all of the S4W partners websites and no one, other than Neah, appears to be producing batteries or fuel cells.
One S4W partner is offering this:
"Registration for this Drone/sUAS Pilot Training Program Experience™ is $5,800 (includes a Phantom 3 Professional aircraft, 1 extra intelligent battery,"
http://flexrightsolutions.com/commercial-drones/
The intelligent battery for the Phantom 3 last only 23 minutes:
http://store.dji.com/product/phantom-3-intelligent-flight-battery
The hydrogen drones that I have seen so far all run off of compressed gas. The formic acid reformer will truly revolutionize this market IMO. Much more convenient, especially for military or covert operations.
co-develop and market product incorporating NEAH POWER’s
http://www.s4worldwide.com/partners
Paul Sault, CEO of S4W complemented, “S4W welcomes the opportunity to co-develop and market product incorporating NEAH POWER’s advanced technologies. “We have made over 10 investment decisions jointly [with our Chinese partners] and committed close to $1 billion across eight to 10 investments,” Khaled Al Shamlan, Mubadala Capital’s head of sovereign investment partnerships was quoted by local media as saying at the Abu Dhabi Global Market’s Belt-and-Road financial summit in Beijing.
“In our short operations of two-and-a-half years in the Chinese market, we have managed to evaluate more than 150 investments,” he added. “Some of them are at the closing phase.”
Al Shamlan Shamlan added that Mubadala and its Chinese partners are investing in a variety of sectors. He did not, however, give a time frame for when the funds would be deployed.
“This investments vehicle has the agility to invest across different sectors and when it comes to asset classes [is] agnostic,” he is quoted as saying by the National.
Emirates Global Aluminium, a Mubadala portfolio company, recently opened offices in Shanghai.
Additionally, Mubadala – through semiconductor manufacturer GlobalFoundries – recently established a joint venture with the government of Chongqing to establish a local manufacturing facility.
According to Al Shamlan, the project has made progress and a “big announcement” will be at some point over the course of 2018.

1:00 High Power and Safe Li-metal Batteries Part II: The Forgotten Concept of Three-Phase Boundary
Slobodan Petrovic, PhD, Professor, XNRGI
The power loss in lithium batteries comes partially from poor electronic conduction and limited active surface area. A new electrode consisting of porous structure and silicon collector is used to enable effective and high-area three-phase boundary between active mass, electrolyte and electronic conductor. (co-author Juergen Garche).

11:45 High Power and Safe Li-metal Batteries Part I: The Mechanism of Li Metal Growth in Porous Structures
Slobodan Petrovic, PhD, CTO, XNRGI
Co-Author: Juergen Garche
Lithium metal batteries with liquid electrolytes are not safe because of dendrite growth. A new electrode structure consisting of porous silicon is shown to suppress dendrite growth, enabling high-power and safe battery. The results, supported by the study of reaction mechanisms, demonstrate excellent Coulombic efficiency and high volumetric energy density.

As I understand it, THIS is what's going on:
1. Present a Plan takes all of the assets of the existing Xnrgi Inc. and transfers them to a new New Jersey-registered limited liability corporation (Xnrgi Solutions LLC). The Plan would include paying off all of the (fairly modest debts and other obligations owed by Xnrgi Inc. before transferring any assets). It would also provide an equity participation by the existing public shareholders in Xnrgi Inc. The equity they get in the new LLC will be valued at a multiple (perhaps 2:1 or maybe 3:1) since the new LLC will have an imputed value of at least $35million, based on a.)a recent $5mm investment by a private investor at that valuation and
b.) a new $2mm investment (which will fund expenses and provide some working capital for the LLC) valued at $35million.
The new Xnrgi Solutions will then raise several million more at a significant step up in valuation to take Xnrgi's batteries to market.
That's D'Couto's plan. We are tasked with finding an acceptable valuation since D'Couto is aiming for a valuation of approximately $100 million;
c.) accepting Management's equity participation which approaches 50%. The public shareholders should have no grounds for complaint since their shares in the new Xnrgi will be worth a multiple of what they are today. The challenge is what participation and say a new investor will accept. The $2mm to cover expenses is actually in escrow, held by Xnrgi's lawyers, and is from a single Indian private investor (unrelated to the other private Indian investor who four months ago put $5 mm into Xnrgi Inc. at a $35 million valuation).

NEW VIDEO:
https://vimeo.com/231188779
Paul Sidlo has a new XNRGI video showing the safety of the battery.
They take a battery punch a nail through it twice ( normally would short the battery ) then cut the edges and expose the wafer material.
The whole time measuring voltage output which stays steady and temperature which stays steady.
This is impressive !

Motorola, Teikon and Neah links or alumni......plus the ownership of the largest chip foundry Ne Xt terra like the Paul Sildo video...lots going on in Abu Dhabi.
The Neah video showed the batteries made on the silicon foundry chip equipment, it would seem if a company just upgraded its chip making equipment and was the largest (as called out in the video) chip making company that they could well use the older equipment to make the new Neah batteries.... NeXt Terra as in the title of the video.... coincidentally located in Abu Dhabi. (hardly a coincidence) and to top it off the Head of the company (Global foundries) is from Motorola Mobility....the same company that head of the Polaris Labs used to work for that just so happen to have an interest in (from the stickies)
