I keep telling these believers not to accept my opinion(identical to yours) but to seek the opinion of a professional engineer/physicist. Surely if one is going to invest then proper dd would include a professional opinion if their grasp of science is not up to the job. My guess is that they fear the truth.
That would be a great plan to settle the matter. However, there has been no independent verifications so this idea won't fly. Holcomb controls any demos that have been recorded.
Looking again at Quantum info(yes, i'm a masochist!) and all these dubious references to "dealerships", i continually see mention of 400+ products?? Have they even got one physical real world product?
Thanks, pepeoil, you saved me the bother of finding that stuff.
There were two court cases that i am aware of. (1) was an attempt by Bob Walker to evict Holcomb from premises in Florida, of no interest to me as there were no technical arguments involved. (2) was far more interesting. Holcomb sold an "ilpg" to a car dealership together with some alleged ip for $5million. The ilpg not only failed to reduce the power bill but actually increased it. The party involved brought a case for damages against Holcomb and Holcomb said there was never any guarantee that the "tech" would work and the contract only referred to use of the supposed ip. This second case is ongoing after Holcomb failed to stop it. Again i see you suggesting in a vague way that overunity has been witnessed, it has never been witnessed and never will be.
Overunity is absolutely impossible. There has been in the past countless scams promising more out than in- none have ever worked. What Holcomb is doing is a cheap trick involving reactive current. You will not see this "tech" in use, ever. And this also applies to all future claims of more out than in, not just Holcomb. Don't forget that in one of the court cases he admitted that the contract does not specify that it will work.
As i live in Ireland a visit is not really practical for me. However seeing something i have not set up myself will tell me very little. I say energy cannot be magnified, never could in the past and never will in the future. However, no one should take my word for it as you do not know whether i have any engineering/physics credence- go ask a professional engineer or physicist. I have made this suggestion repeatedly but i am ignored.
Reactive current and apparent power are easy concepts if you have a basic electrical understanding.
Indeed, time will tell.
I understand where you are coming from but surely points can be made without nasty name calling? I feel it takes away from the value of this forum. I appreciate that you are not the only one doing this as i have objected to the language used by several members of the "opposite team". Let us all be gentlemen.
I agree with you, but calorimetry tests have not been done, nor have any proper independent tests been carried out.
Every time boredom strikes i have a look at the quantum site and click on "magnetic propulsion" and it says "soon to be released", as it has been saying for a long time now. The question is "how soon is soon"!, hilarious.
There has been, i believe, a witness report on meter readings. This falls well short of a proper independent verification. There is a video somewhere where a test is in progress without any apparent gain and Holcomb says 'connect the capacitors' and the meter readings surge. This is reactive current reading and NOT energy amplification. This is an old trick that anybody with a basic understanding of electrics would see through.
Thank you. As regards mr Loudoun i know nothing and he is of no interest to me. My only desire is to see proper engineering/physics and to dispute false claims pertaining to these areas.
There are many tests that could be done including calorimetry but these need to be done by an independent competent professional. This has not been done. Yes indeed, the rotoverter joins the long and growing list list of failed overunity devices.
Good questions. What use are these "techs"?, none at all i would guess.
Overunity is a pipe dream that no one has ever achieved. There have been lots of claims, yes, but none has worked and none in the future will work, either. It is fundamentally impossible. There has never been a proper independent test of Holcomb's stuff. It is all tricks with meters reading reactive power rather than real power.
Indeed, if this thing worked it would be a world changing tech, worthy of a string of Nobel prizes longer than your arm. Actually it does not work as the concept is 100% wrong. You had asked about the admission of it not working: in the court case with the car dealership Holcomb states that the contract is purely referring to intellectual property without any statement that it would work to reduce the electricity bill. Holcomb had written the contract without specifying that it would work but suggesting it would. Devious use of language.
No it does not. It is absolutely, utterly impossible, same as any free energy, overunity or more out than in schemes.
That actually could be quite real as there is no mention of the "H" word there.
I don't know anything about the Powertron deal, it might be good, or bad. If 1million has been accepted on the basis of Holcomb claims however, the consequences in the long run can only be bad.
Of course the answer is no. I don't understand some of the promoters and shareholders here. A demo is not proper dd, what is needed is independent professional advice, unless one is competent in the subject matter. If someone told me they could magnify my bank accounts i would be extremely wary and would not put a cent into it without the advice of a competent accountant. The same goes for any "too good to be true" inventions. The failure to get independent advice on this matter leads me to believe there are three possible explanations: (1) they know it does not work but are worried about losses and simply want to keep the share price up to exit with the least losses (2) they are afraid to find out the truth (3) they are gullible. I don't know, but something is very wrong here if people reject the idea of proper professional analysis.
I saw it on a Quantum announcement that popped up as i was doing a search, the date was 7 june.
I am 72 years old and have studied science all my life, often to the detriment of other aspects of living. I do have an open mind and i know what i am talking about. But as i have said repeatedly, again and again, ask the opinion of a professional on this and you will be in for a shock, There are countless scams on the net promising free energy, fuelless engines, magnet motors, water as fuel all with convincing videos that actually prove nothing. A video means nothing unless it is conducted by an independent competent person and if that is not the case it is meaningless. As for ASTRA i hold no opinion, good or bad. There are currently two false claims in the energy field that have my attention, one is Holcomb and the other is Quantum/Inductance energy. And i am quite prepared to wait this out as i have no "skin in the game".
Utterly impossible. Don't take my opinion on this, ask a professional engineer or scientist can power be magnified. I am beginning to think you know the truth, ie that it does not work. Now why would you be doing that? Are you an insider?
I see Bill Hinz has stepped down from quantum. I reckon he is running for the hills before the excrement hits the impeller.
Sure you have, and i have a nda with the tooth fairy and santa claus. The "aether" was a concept when physics had a primitive understanding of electromagnetic phenomena- "aether" does not exist and has been debunked over one hundred years ago. But as i have said before, don't take my word for it, you don't know anything about me and for all you know i could be a raving nutcase. Ask a professional engineer or physicist before buying into anything you do not have a deep understanding of. Engineering has been my business: if i needed a legal opinion i would not look in a maths or engineering book, i would seek out the opinion of a lawyer. Scammers have been claiming perpetual motion, overunity, free energy etc etc for hundreds of years with 0% success. PS: i had not heard of Ashton Forbes before and i looked him up- i don't like using course language but at this point i have no option, this guy is batshit crazy.
There is a very poor appreciation of scientific matters in the general population. Nothing wrong about this but one would expect anyone buying into a scheme like that of Holcomb to at least seek proper scientific evaluation from a professional scientist and NOT accept hype.
Oh dear, what will happen when the Holcomb stuff fails to deliver? I foresee lawsuits coming. I have more chance of flying by pulling hard on my shoelaces than the Holcomb "tech" has of delivering power. And this applies to all claimants of more power out than in, not just Holcomb. Obviously someone somewhere has failed in their dd.
I had a brief look at the most recent batch of nonscience videos from mr D, those ~8-10 months ago. I note he is a lot more vague about what his whirlygig can do. He insists it is not a source of energy(correct) but hints at usefulness through voltage increase, "conditioning" and energy storage. If it cannot produce new energy what the hell use is it? I remain absolutely baffled that this charade is still alive after five years.
This silly photon nonsense is just as bad as the original "earth engine". If one was to cover a room entirely with photovoltaics the best return possible would be ~4%. Ludicrous.
Some people can't handle the truth and this is a very unfortunate situation.
As i have said before, you may be quite correct, or equally you could be in error. None of this is in my area of expertise. However nothing of value will come from Holcomb as his "tech" is nonsense. He even admitted in the court case that it doesn't work.
Excellent job, Dorick, keep up the good work.
Indeed, such a tech, IF real would be one of the greatest human achievements. Anything that is too good to be true is invariably false.
I am not a shareholder, in anything, just a retired engineer. However, i do know bullshit when i see it, no one has the ability to magnify electrical power, not now, not ever. Anyone who makes that claim is either deluded or fraudulent- i will leave it up to your good self to decide.
You need a new electrical engineer, sir. No competent engineer would approve the Holcomb "tech".
As i said i accept your analysis but i feel strongly that personal remarks are not fitting in a forum like this.
I accept your analysis of these matters but surely it can be done without the personal remarks? To me it sounds petty and vindictive. Lets just stick to the facts.
I can explain. It does not work and they know it.
